This forthcoming event marks the launch of two exciting new programmes which have a unique focus on Shakespeare and Creativity, combining the theatrical and academic study of Shakespeare’s life and work. The new MA and PhD with integrated study are relevant for aspiring writers and actors, as well as anyone with an interest in Shakespeare. Come along to find out more about the programmes, meet Institute staff and current students and explore the Institute itself. The event will also include a creative cabaret performance, directed by our own actor-turned-academic, and co-convenor of the programmes, Abigail Rokison. This will be followed by drinks and an opportunity to meet and mingle with contributors on the new programmes – the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the new Library of Birmingham – and some familiar faces from the theatre world. If you are currently considering postgraduate study, this is an ideal opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere, resources and teaching that the Shakespeare Institute has to offer.
