  • SUPER CLUBS DAY

It was a beautiful day full of fun, comradery, and sportsmanshipthe day we had prepared forSuper Clubs Day. SHRMies had prepared long and hard for this day, and it showed. Members participated in fun outdoor activities such as kickball, tug of war, cheer and dance, volleyball, hungry hungry humans, and Easter egg mad dash, water pong, and various other activities throughout the day. Members cheered each other on in their various events and really showed what it means to be a SHRMilysupporting one another to the end. Although SHRMies didnt take the overall first place trophy, they were able to build even stronger relationships with each other than they already had.

  • PROFESSIONAL INTERACTION

NIGHT Thank you to all the esteemed professionals who attended the biannual SHRM Aloha Professional Interaction Night at the Plaza Club this semester. The venue was beautiful, and members were able to show off the professional skills theyve gained throughout the semester from workshops and mock interviews. Recipients of the Human Resource Excellence Award and the Diamond Sales Award, Dereck San Miguel and Chelsea Kadokawa, were also recognized at the event. Thank you again to our generous sponsors and continued supporters!

  • [ Workshops ] The Society for Human Resources Management, Aloha Chapter intends to equip its members with the skills necessary to transform their professionalism into a career. Through a series of three, tiered workshops that build upon each other, students will learn what skills are necessary to become a professional, and then how to practice those skills in order to obtain a career.

[ Company Tours ] Company tours are opportunities to gain insight about exceptional businesses in Hawaii. Members will see behind the scenes and learn about the corporate culture and how facilities are run in the company, as well as, the role they plays in the Hawaiis community. Members will learn the different areas and positions in the company and find out what the company looks for in job candidates.

  • RELAY FOR LIFE

    JUNIOR LEAGUE HAWAII

SHRMies participated in our last two community services of the semester this month: Relay for Life and assisting the Junior League of Hawaii with the set up of their Luxe luncheon. At the Relay for Life, there were many fun activities for those who participated to enjoythere was a bounce house, live music, and free energy drinks just to name a few. Members had fun bonding with each other while helping in the fight against cancer and serving the community.

  • SOCIALS This semester, our Director of Student Affairs, Kelsey Monticalvo planned a ton of fun socials for SHRMies to get together and bond at. Through socials, members are able to get to know each other in a relaxed setting and become not just colleagues, but lifelong friends. This semester, Kelsey planned events such as a Beach Day at Kailua Beach Park, an Easter themed scavenger hunt throughout Magic Island, a joint movie night with FMA, and an end-of-semester karaoke night where SHRMies were able to sing their hearts out with each other. We have Kelsey to thank for the strong bonds we have been able to make with one another through her socials.

  • BANQUET UNDER THE SEA

This Spring, SHRMies celebrated the end of another fantastic semester at the SHRM biannual Aloha Banquet down under the sea. It was a night full of fun and laughter. HOSS election winners for categories such as Party Animal and Mr. GQ were recognized as well as Active Status members, graduates, and the outgoing and incoming Executive Board for next semester. A huge round of applause goes to our Director of Marketing, Lilian Li and her banquet committee for putting together this great event!
