As Mary was standing by the Savior’s tomb Two angels were sitting in white One at the head and one at the feet Where Christ’s body had lain that night They said unto her, why weepest thou Christ has risen, God’s Holy Son Crucified and buried and on the third day The plan of Salvation is done. Chorus: He has risen, He has risen, Christ our Lord

He lives, go tell the world

Mary, Oh Mary, He’s with us just now

Woman, why weepest thou.

Jesus asked Mary, whom seekest thou?

Go tell the brethren I live

He that believeth and is baptized

Freedom from his sin I give.

Gideon, Jeff Newman, spoke at our March 25th morning service. We thank him for sharing many encouraging reports with us and for all of the work that all Gideons do.

Congratulations to the both the primary and junior teams for placing 3rd in Sword Drills in the March Rally. The last Youth Rally for this year will be April 8th.

Though the weather was cool, we enjoyed the warmth of the spirit in our Easter Sunday service. The kids shared a little magic demonstration of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection. They also had a poem and a song and all went home with a little sweet treat. We enjoyed special songs by the ladies and the men. Pastor Tommy sang The Garden Tomb: “Early one morning at the breaking of dawn, two women went out to the garden alone. They were going to anoint Jesus with spices that day, but Jesus had risen the stone rolled away!” And, Richard and Katrina Brown sang I’ve Been To Calvary: “I’ve been to Calvary; I can say I’ve seen the Lord. I’ve been to Calvary through the witness of His word. Each day at Calvary, what a thrill of love diving. Just to know, just to feel that the Savior is mine.” AMEN! Those on our prayer list: Grace Young, Martha Ralston, Fred McCarty, Wanda McCarty, Dorothy McCarty, Loretta Porter, Phyllis Spires, Mike & Charlene Grooms, Ruth Brown, Tommy & Jackie Brown, Millie Hayslip, Debbie Newman, Mary Lou Grooms, Bryan and Christina Grooms, Roger Trefz, Ronald Grooms, Delbert McDaniel, Lawrence McNeilan, Rose Vogler Gill, Paul Kemp’s dad, Marvin Green, Tina Ward, Mary Lee Roush, Eric Morgan, The Hewgills, Carolyn Ralston, Miller Brogan, Ricky Allen, among others. Several are sick and enduring trials. We are praying for those needs. The same, we are thanking God for all things good and praising Him for His countless blessings!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
