God has graciously chosen to breath life into His creatures, great and small. As beings who are made in His image, we enjoy a quality of life that is distinguished from all other creatures the Lord God created. We have the great honor and privilege of walking in fellowship with Him. Beholding the glory of Spring causes me to consider this quality of life God has so graciously given us. I have pointed out previously how we can see the process of life through the seasons. In fact, we have just recently exited the part which represents the death of things - Winter. Behold, we are now entering the part which brings life - Spring. The Bible says in Hosea 6:3, "So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord...and He will come to us like the rain, like the Spring rain watering the earth." There is life in these words, spoken long ago by this minor prophet. May we ever strive to speak similar words of life in a world where winter seems perpetual. For, those who know Christ and who have been ransomed through His blood, they have the ability to speak forth words of life. One thing that always amazes me regarding the first two chapters of Genesis is how God spoke and things happened. Brothers and sisters, God still speaks to us through His words (the Bible) and His works (in our lives) Acts 1:1. Therefore it's always a great time to talk about what God is doing. My prayer is that we never lose sight of what God is doing in us and around us. As Henry Blackaby said, "God is always at work around us." My family and I send you our love and blessings as we enter into April together. Always remember that God loves you, and always see the fulfillment of that love through the glory of Easter. There's power in the resurrection! To God be the glory for the great things He has done. Blessings in Christ, Pastor Frank

Reflectionsby Frances Gilmore

Love paid the ransom. God sent Hislove when Jesus was born of a virgin in

Bethlehem. Jesus left Heaven to be born in a stable, to berejected and insulted in spite of doing good. Jesus madeHimself human in order to feel our pains and ouremotions. He was despised, even as a baby, as KingHerod sought to kill him.

But Jesus had a mission. At 30 years of age, Hisministry began. Jesus walked on the earth ministering tothe people and performing miracles. The earthly Jesusfelt the pain of the sick and suffering; the spiritual Jesushealed their bodies. The earthly Jesus thirsted for water;the spiritual Jesus arose and calmed the sea. The earthlyJesus saw 5000 hungry people; the spiritual Jesus fedthem all with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. The earthlyJesus saw a boat on the lake; the spiritual Jesus walked onwater. The earthly Jesus prayed, “Take this cup fromme.”; the spiritual Jesus prayed, “Thy will be done.”

As His popularity grew, leaders of the Jewishreligion opposed, were jealous, and were angered. Theyscoffed at His claim to forgive sin. They plotted Hisdeath.

Jesus and His followers came closer to Jerusalem. Jesus knew His death was near. Two followers were sentto find a donkey for Jesus to ride. Jesus looked acrosstime and distance and saw you and me and knew the tripto Jerusalem had to be taken.

Because Jesus rode into Jerusalem we have aRedeemer. Because Jesus rode into Jerusalem we canhave salvation. Because Jesus rode into Jerusalem, wecan have faith and hope. Because Jesus rode intoJerusalem, we have the promise of Heaven. BecauseJesus rode into Jerusalem, we can have everlasting life.

The cross was in the heart of Jesus long before itstood on Calvary.

My prayer for you this Easter is for a deeperunderstanding of the blood that was shed in order for sinsto be forgiven. The blood that flowed from the PerfectOne washes sins away. Hallelujah! Amen!_
