The result was a decidedly poor showing on the part of the Eastern clubs, the Brooklyn Club alone making anything like a decent st»nd, and even that team did not succeed in winning even half of their games. The Records Made During trie Western Visit of the Eastern Association Clubs.The first Western trip of the Eastern Associa­

tion clubs was concluded July 15. The result was a decidedly poor showing on the part of the Eastern clubs, the Brooklyn Club alone making anything like a decent st»nd, and even that team did not succeed in winning even half of their games. Of the Western clubs the St. Louis and Cincinnatis got the lion's share of the glory, although Pittaburg and Louisville have no reason to be ashamed of their great record.
