Senior Citizen’s Alternative Transportation (SCAT) The City of Allen Park provides Senior Program Members (Annual Fee) with a means of transportation Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Our transportation is a way to provide an accessible and affordable means of transportation for sen-iors who do not drive.
The Bus/Van travels within a 3 mile radius of the borders of Allen Park for medical, dental, business, banking and shopping needs. Also, transportation to and from the Community Center is provided. You must reserve your transportation one day in advance. To schedule a ride, call the Senior Office 313-928-0770, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Same Day Shuttle service is now available. Need a ride at the last minute? We can help. Give us a call and based on avail-ability, we can be there in about an hour!
The staff at the Parks & Recreation/Senior offices will try to assist you with activities, scheduling and transportation needs.
Transportation: $2 each way ~ Same Day Shuttle Service: $3 each way ~ Transportation to Community Center: $1 total
The Allen Park Parks and Recreation Department offers Senior Adult Programs for Allen Park Senior Residents. The Senior Program provides diverse services and activities which are available to Seniors 50 years of age and over. Programs and activities at the Community Center include recreational activities plus many special events; many of these programs are offered in coordination with other agencies. The center also serves as a community resource for information and keeps you abreast of current happenings at our site and in our community. Dues for membership are $9 per year.

Senior Exercise with Barb Increase your functional fitness for a better quality
of life. Barb demonstrates low impact Senior Exercises designed to keep you fit. Monday and Wednesday 9-10am.
Cost: $3 per class
Tai Chi with Barb Enhance balance and body awareness through slow, graceful precise body movements. Wear
loose clothing and flat shoes. Monday and Friday 10-11am.

Cardio Drumming Downriver Fit Family is proud to bring
Cardio Drumming to the City of Allen Park. It is a fun alternative to everyday ordinary workouts and
great class for any age and fitness level. We drum to a wide variety of music from oldies to mod-ern. Equipment needed: 65cm-75cm exercise ball, 18
gallon bucket, drumsticks and water bottle. We do have drumsticks available for sale for only $5.
Cost of class is $5 drop in. We do have a few extra balls and buckets for use during class. Due to limited amount, they will be given out as 1st come, 1st serve basis. We look forward to providing a safe and fun environment to

Korean Karate Academy Tang Soo Do
The costs will remain the same ($50 for Juniors 7-12 and $55 for Seniors 13+) except for one semester as indicated below. January 7th - February 27th. (8 week semester) March 3rd - May 28th. (extended end date) April 28th - May 28th (5 week semester). Cost will be $45 for juniors and $50 for seniors. Summer break for the month of June (no classes) July 7th - August 27th. (8 week semester) No classes the week of Labor Day. September 8th - October 29th. (8 week semester) November 3rd - December 17th. (6 1/2 week semester) (off November 26th for Thanksgiving)

Allen Park Recreation Park Colony Joint Membership (APPCC)
Park Colony Swim & Tennis Club (PCC) and The City of Allen
Park Fitness Center have teamed up to provide a joint member-
ship venture. Together, we share the common goal of providing
safe, family-orientated recreational programming to the Allen
Park community. The joint membership venture will allow the
residents of Allen Park access to recreational programming all
year long. Working together, we can promote the best that Allen
Park has to offer. Annual Joint Member Dues

All Allen Park residents are eligible
Joint Members will have full access to each facility and their programs during their respective months of operations.
