on decisions made by the executive team. As a paying member, you will receive an official SWOCC plaque with our new logo. You will also receive a shirt with the official club logo. (Please note: shirts will be ordered after dues are payed so we do not have an overabundance of inventory.) Paying members will have exclusive access to trips organized by the club and other member-only events. The club will also have regular meet and greets open to anyone, and provide opportunity for new prospects to meet us before they become a paying member.

So what is the cost? The cost is $40 for new paying members (this will be the cost for anyone paying dues even if they have already been part of the existing club). Annual renewals will cost $20. Membership dues include spouses and children under the age of 18. The price includes one shirt, but additional shirts may be purchased for spouses/children/extras (price to be determined). Any member joining after November 1, will pay dues and be considered paid-in-full for the following year, members joining before that will be charged $40 and pay the annual renewal of $20 the following year.

So what are the rules? The rules are simple, as a due paying member, you will agree to abide by the SWOCC by-laws, be an active participant in member events, as well as meet and greets, you may not be a due paying member of another club, and you may not display other club insignia on your vehicle.

So when is the due date? The due date for 2018 dues is April 1, 2018. This is a FIRM deadline for those wanting to be included in the first round of annual membership. Dues can be paid in cash, check, or via Paypal and should go to treasurer Crystal Leugers. You can send dues via Paypal to [email protected], or contact Crystal at [email protected].

Jonathan Walters HQ Synthetics

When it comes to sponsoring SWOCC, Jonathan writes, “We are all enthusiasts when it comes to taking care of our vehicles, power sports. and equipment. With all the technological advancement of today’s engines along with tighter tolerance, stress, and heat, oil is has become very important in protecting your engine. Being AMSOIL’ s dealer along with 6 years of personal use, I knew AMSOIL synthetic lubricates would be a perfect fit for the club and its members.”

In 1972, AMSOIL 10W-40 Synthetic Motor became the first synthetic motor oil in the world to meet American Petroleum Institute service requirements. AMSOIL not only tests their products in the lab, they also use real world validation, race tracks around the world, long-range studies with taxicabs, delivery fleets, police and emergency vehicles, over-the-road trucks, wind turbines and industrial machinery.

AMSOIL selects raw materials based on quality and performance, not price. (Cont’d on Page 4…)

Spring Cleaning

As Camaro owners, many of us take pride in how our vehicles look. When it comes to cleaning our vehicles, there are many options. You can do ceramic coating which protects paint and allows you to spray it off, you can use a car wash, or you can do it yourself.

Doing your own detailing and stepping back to see your beautiful ride can be quite satisfying, but if you have never done it before, it can be intimidating. What products should you use? How do you get the best shine? Wax, sealant, or both? What kinds of towels/sponges? The truth is, everyone has their own individual preference.

There are great products available from Meguire’s, Adam’s Polishes, Griot’s Garage, Chemical Guys, and more. You can get great deals on microfiber cloths, towels, dusters, and sponges at Microfiber Tech. There are great tutorials on many of the individual websites and plenty available on Youtube. If in doubt, reach out to other members, many of us do our own work, have products we enjoy/recommend, and are happy to help you get that car looking great for the warm weather!

Jonathan states, “My Chevy Express van is more than just a vehicle – it’s my livelihood. In August of 2011 I purchased a 2008 Chevy Express 2500. The van was equipped with the 4.8L gasoline engine and the odometer read 105,839 miles. During the month of September, I began using AMSOIL Signature Series Synthetic motor oil and was averaging anywhere from 19,000 - 28,000 miles between oil changes every 3 months or less.

I use [the van] to haul freight all over the U.S. I’ve carried upward of 3,000 lbs., through mountainous terrain, across scorching deserts, and in the subzero temperatures of winter. Through it all, I’ve used AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricates.

With the mileage racking up along with the punishment I was giving that baby LS V8 motor, it really made a believer out of me, so much so, I became a Dealer in 2013. I graduated from the AMSOIL Core Technology Program on… (Con’t on Page 5)

A Note from the Editor In the special edition, I promised a January newsletter with tips on car storage. Long story short, with the move, career change, and everything else in life, I just did not get it done. For that I apologize. Rest assured, we’ll return to that article next time!

The SWOCC by laws only require a quarterly newsletter. My overarching goal is to have something published on a more frequent basis than quarterly. During the spring and summer months, I hope to have an issue every month. In order to make these issues successful, I need your help!

Have pictures of your Camaro? Have a story to tell about an awesome vendor? Want to share your experiences of an amazing SWOCC event? Then we need you! Submit articles and pictures to share. We want this publication to be something you eagerly anticipate. YOU are what will make this newsletter great! The Staging Lane is newsletter is intended to highlight the life and happenings of SWOCC, so share that life on our Facebook page, email me, or message me. YOU are what will make this newsletter great!
