Avelino Vicente - The Standard Model of particle physics and beyond 3ISAPP 2016
What is this course about?
● It’s a theory course
● We will mostly concentrate on the electroweak sector of the Standard Model
Little attention will be given to the crucial experiments
Almost no discussion about the strong interactions
● The course will focus on the main physical results rather than on the details (due to the lack of time)
More information in the course notes

Let's get started!
Rules:
● You can (and should) ask questions whenever you have a doubt
● Suggestion: you can improve your skills by working out some proposed exercises
● I will assume that you already have a basic QFT training
