I’m in Budapest because that’s where his trail ran cold. Suddenly nobody knows anything about my elusive watch-maker. A mechanical genius with the Midas touch? Never heard of him? Don’t know what you’re talking about? Maybe you should go back to America, they say. But I’m stubborn. I’m sticking around until I meet the man I came halfway around the world to meet. I want to see his work, shake his hand and find out what makes him tick. I sell watches for a living. I’ve got nothing but time. If you’re reading this now, it means that I found him. It means that I convinced him to help us create the stunning Stauer Midas Watch. It takes a special kind of patience and skill to create art with whisper-thin sheets of genuine 24K gold finish. Only a handful of people in this world can make it look easy. My mys-terious friend just happens to be one of them. While gold is one of the most coveted precious metals on the planet, it’s also one of the softest. That makes it even more of a challenge to work with, especially when the process involves hammered, 24K gold sheets. But anyone interested in crafting watches has learned a thing or two about attention to detail. The final result looks spectacular, but our Midas Watch is more than a showpiece. Underneath its gleaming gold exterior beats the heart of a precision time machine. oscillates at an incredible rate of cycles per second. The movement is consistently accurate to within fractions of a second per day. So while wearing the Midas will surely turn heads, it will also prove that the real secret to success is showing up on time... not just showing off.

It takes a special kind of person to become a wartime fighter pilot. The job requires nerves of steel; rock-solid determination to be a raptor in the skies and the soul of a warrior who is committed to duty. It takes a special kind of man to aim a plane straight for the sun, then pull a 360 and barrel roll toward his opponent, guns blazing, ripping the enemy to tatters. Extraordinary pilots demand extraordinary equipment. In the cockpit, a superb chronograph is an absolute necessity.

Our 1939 Aviator Chronograph is based on international styles circa 1939. The original was designed wider than the average men’s watch — 54 mm in diameter — with extra-large numerals to enhance readability in low-light situations. The hands are luminescent, including the arrow and two dots sig-nifying Twelve O’clock High. Its black leather band is extra wide and extra-long, reflecting the aviator tradition of wearing the watch on the outside of one’s bomber jacket. The chronograph’s precision movement is accurate to within a fraction of a second each year, ensuring impeccable timing, whether behind the stick in the cockpit or in the war room at your office. Quartz, Case Material: Stainless Steel Case, Dimensions: 46mm x 54mmCase Thickness: 14mm. Wrist Sizes:7” to 8 3/4”, 3Atm Water Resistant.

After weeks at sea, he’d finally hooked an adversary worth his time. The fish was the largest he’d ever seen, and that mighty first yank promised him an epic game of tug of war. For hours they toiled in the hot sun, each gaining ground, losing it, gaining it again. As the blue marlin fought back, the man couldn’t help but fall under a kind of trance watching the majestic fish, its blue back giving way to flashes of its silver underbelly in the surf. Just as it seemed the marlin might finally surrender, the line snapped, throwing the man onto the deck of his boat. As he stood, the fish gave one last triumphant leap into the air before disappearing forever into the depths of the open sea. Defeat was humbling, but the man vowed to return. And he would not come alone. Next time, he would be wearing his Stauer Swiss Blue Marlin Dive Watch. An impressive timekeeping machine, imbued with impossibly good looks and a legendary Swiss movement. Sure, there wasn’t much that a watch could do to help catch a 10-foot fish with a bad attitude, but watching its midnight blue face, stainless steel case and gold-finished accents shine in the sun would remind him that he’s always been a man who gets what he wants. Quartz, battery required, Water Resistance: 20ATM, Wrist Sizes: 5 1/2” – 8”.

They say that the devil is in the details. But if you look at the greatest achievements in Danish design, it seems that the devil IS the details. You won’t find any extras. No bells and whistles. No flourishes. The rule is simplicity and functionality above all else. You can see that concept clearly in the stark and striking design of the Danish Design Titanium Watch, a timepiece that defines minimalist style.

One of the design movement’s originators describes the Danish style as “a continuous process of purification.” Here you have a wristwatch crafted elegantly of only the most essential elements: two hands, one case and a band. Think of it as the elegant evolution of the sundial, streamlined and crafted to make a statement. Think of it as the lightweight, ultra-comfortable wristwatch equivalent of the little black dress. Goes with everything, every-where, anytime. Quartz, Watch Display: Analoge, Battery required, Case Material:Titanium, Case Dimensions: 38mm, Case Thickness: 9.5mm, Water Resistance: 3ATM, Wrist Sizes: 6 1/2” to 8 1/4”.

A. 25134 Stauer Kepler Timepiece £149.99

Inspired by an astronomical genius, the Stauer Kepler Timepiece can be yours for a very down to Earth price! Four hundred years ago, astronomy was a wild mix of magic, mathematics and madmen. Its boldest thinkers were treated like rock stars, worshipped by royalty and celebrated by international intellectuals. These were men, after all, who were answering the biggest questions in the universe. And when it came to decoding the mechanics of the heavens, nobody had it figured out better than Johannes Kepler. His epiphany came in 1595, once he realized that planetary orbits around the Sun weren’t circular, they were elliptical. In that moment, he invented astrophysics and changed the way mankind thinks about, well... everything.

His theories revealed that the apparent chaos of the universe was actually an intricate machine in which every-thing ran like clockwork with every planet moving in harmony. If you figure out something that important, the least we can do is name a watch after you. The Kepler Timepiece is our humble tribute to one brilliant man who changed history. Its look was inspired by the 17th-century tools of stargazers and scientists. Behind the striking midnight-blue face, you’ll find a tiny, self-contained mechanical universe. Like the cosmos, every piece has its purpose. Our watch recalls the classic designs of early horological machines, but has been fine-tuned using modern technology to deliver unprecedented accuracy to within a fraction of a second per day. Revolutionize your wrist, just as Kepler revolutionized the way we see the night sky, by embracing the forces of harmonic movement within the Stauer Kepler Timepiece. Quartz, Watch Display: Analogue, Battery required, Dial Details: Roman Numerals, Wrist Sizes: 7 ½” to 9 ½”.

A. 25596 Stauer Atlas Automatic Watch £279.99

Two score and twelve years ago, my father brought forth upon me the name and phone number of a man in New York City. This man had a proposition,he said. There was a job opening at his advertising agency and I could have it as long as I understood thatall men were not created equal. I wouldstart at the bottom. It was up to me whether I would stay there. My first morning commute into Manhattan was an eye-opening journey through valleys ofgleaming skyscrapers. Traffic whizzed by in a blur of contour and chrome. Sidewalks were packed with men in tailored suits. This was New York in the 1960s, a shining era of technology and possibility, dressed in impeccable style. My contact was a classic Madison Avenue executive with no love for small talk. He called me in his office, gave me the rundown and two pieces of advice. Rolling up his sleeve, he pointed to the silver beauty on his wrist, “Stay away from the girls in accounting and get yourself a great looking watch. See you Monday.” The Stauer Atlas Automatic is a stroke of watch-making genius inspired by the Silver Age of streamlined design. The cerulean face, shimmering case and buttery-smooth bracelet echo the stainless steel cool of sixties-era style. Inside, its impeccably engineered automatic engine keeps precise time without ever needing a battery. On those rare occasions when it’s not on your wrist, feel free to marvel at its craftsmanship through the exhibition caseback. Effortlessly elegant and devilishly handsome, the Atlas puts its overpriced relatives to shame. Automatic, Watch Display: Analogue, Water Resistance: 3 ATM, Wrist Sizes:6 ½” - 8 ¼”.

A. 24580 Stauer Swiss-Made Regatta Watch £179.99

Assemble your crew, raise your sails and aim for the horizon with the Stauer Swiss-Made Regatta Watch. It was a late summer day in 1851 when the upstart crew from New York left 15 other British yachts in its wake. According to legend, Queen Victoria was in attendance at the finish line. When the U.S.-based schooner “Amer-ica” arrived 18 minutes before everyone else, she asked who was second. “Your majesty, there is no second,” was the famous reply.

When the America won that 53-nautical-mile race around the Isle of Wight, it launched a sailing dynasty. Their regatta victory won them the respect of the world, it let them claim the sterling silver trophy and earned them the right to rename the prestigious race. Over 150 years later, those racing traditions live on. Inspired by history’s greatest yacht races, the Swiss-made, Stauer Regatta Watch is a stainless steel, precision time ma-chine designed for life on the open water. Built to the exacting performance standards of award-winning sail-ors, this watch is built for victory. Water resistant up to 50 meters, its streamlined design houses a movement (Swiss Quartz)that keeps perfect time whether on short runs offshore or more ambitious hauls around the globe. And the flags on the watch’s face correspond with the numerical pennants that boats use when com-peting. This is the watch for a person who keeps the wind at their back while pursuing adventure at 20 knots and always strives to stay ahead of the pack. Movement Type: Swiss Quartz, Watch Display: Analogue, Battery required, Case Material: Stainless Steel, Water Resistance: 5ATM, Wrist Sizes: 5 ½” to 8”.

A. 25265 Stauer St. Moritz Swiss Watch £249.99

In grammar school we’d pass notes from row-to-row. Mine were always the most elaborate, crafted with the hope that covering every inch of the page with heart doodles would improve my chances for love. But as an adult I’ve learnt the fine art of subtlety when it comes to sowing the seeds of romance. There are times when an elegant watch works just as well as showing up with two dozen roses. Especially when that watch looks as stunning as the Stauer St. Moritz Watch. Classically feminine, the Swiss-Made St. Moritz features a rose gold-finished, stainless steel case and an iridescent Mother-of-Pearl centre dial. The purple leather strap coaxes out blushes of violet from the rainbow shimmer of the face. Luxurious details include rose gold-finished Roman numerals and luminescent index markers. The St. Moritz is also water-resistant up to 3 ATMs. Quartz. Wrist Sizes: 6 ½” - 8 ¼”. It’s the gift that tells her you love her every second of every day... just like clockwork.

Once upon a time, we were forced to choose sides. New technology demanded a decision. You pledged allegiance to analogue or dedicated yourself to digital. You either listened to vinyl records or mp3s. You tapped on a touch-screen or pounded the keys of an old typewriter. And your watch, it either had hands that moved or numbers that blinked. But never both. That just wasn’t an option. Until now....The Stauer Compendium is no ordinary wristwatch. This is the machine that jumps the “Great Divide” of time-keeping technology, an exceptional hybrid chronograph with over a dozen analogue and digital functions. It’s big, bold and more versatile than any watch we’ve ever engineered. And at this price, it’s proof that technological in-novation doesn’t have to cost a fortune!

How to tell tomorrow’s time today. The Compendium’s stunning dial blends an analogue face with a stylish digital display. Three ultra-bright luminous hands keep time along the inner dial, while a trio of circular LCD windows track the hour, minutes and seconds. An eye-catching digital semi-circle animates in time with the second hand and displays the day of the week. On your wrist it looks sophisticated enough for a formal evening out, but rugged and tough enough to feel at home in a cockpit or on a covert mission. Quartz, Water Resistant 3ATM, Stainless Steel Band, Alloy Case.

Your satisfaction is 100% GUARANTEED. If for any reason you aren’t fully impressed by the performance and innovation of the Stauer Compendium Hybrid, simply return the watch within 30 days for a full refund of the pur-chase price. The future of time has arrived! T&C apply.

First, do no harm. It’s one of the basic maxims of medical ethics. It was also the only rule I gave to my watch guru when I asked him to restore an antique “doctor’s watch” from the 1930s. It was in critical condition when I bought it from a collector. The odds of recovery seemed slim. When I delivered it to his workshop in pieces, my friend looked at me with doubt in his eyes. “I fix watches,” he said. “Working miracles will cost you extra.” Weeks later, my square-faced find emerged from “surgery” ticking away like a brand new watch. Today it’s a favourite in my collection and I couldn’t wait for the chance to share it with you.

Inspired by that painstakingly rehabilitated original, I enlisted a team of expert watchmakers to create the Stauer 1939 Doctor’s Watch. During the first half of the 20th-century, this wristwatch style was indispensable for medical professionals. It was less a luxury than a matter of life and death. Physicians relied on the separate seconds dial whenever they took a pa-tient’s pulse. In addition to his classic black leather bag and trusty stethoscope, no doc worth his degree made a house call without his watch. I love my vintage doctor’s watch. But I’m not sure I would go through the headaches and outrageous expense of finding and restoring another one. Thanks to the Stauer 1939 Doctor’s Watch, you can bring home a timepiece with the vintage look of the original. Movement Type: Quartz, Case Material:Stainless Steel, Water Resistance: 5ATM. You’ll love the simplicity and sharp angles of its gleaming stainless steel square case and the bold, easy-to-read black-on-ivory dial. Blued Breguet-style hands mark the hours and minutes, while a smaller blue second hand tracks seconds just above the six o’clock spot. And the best part? Stauer still makes house calls!

Two days out from shore, it was decision time. The sailing had been smooth up to this point, but the crew had to navigate the tricky transition to the trade winds. This is when every movement of the crew coordinated in perfect harmony, synchronized and aligned like a precision machine. Because in a race like the Transpacific, it didn’t pay to come in second. Whether you’re racing a yacht or not, the Stauer Pacifica Dual Time Automatic Watch is a precision co-ordinated instrument that will keep you on course. We’ve loaded the timepiece with complications, not to mention two different movements. A 27-jewel automatic engine drives all six hands on the main dial with an antique ocean-blue face that displays day, month, and date. Dual Movement - Automatic Movement, Quartz, 3 ATM Water Resistant, Silver colour plated Stainless Steel Case. The hands are luminous so you can see the time in low light situations. A rotating bezel measures elapsed time. The secondary watch features an accurate quartz movement that can be set for a separate time zone. We built the rugged stainless steel case to withstand all the wind and salt the sea can throw at it. It’s everything you need for your next ocean voyage, though you might have to tie a few knots yourself.

The smartest watch on Wall

StreetCheck the wrists of the sharpest guys in finance and you’re going to find a sens-ible watch, not a statement. When you spend thousands on a showpiece, that money doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t compound, it doesn’t earn interest. Maybe it gets you some attention. But the last time I checked, you can’t walk into a bank and trade compliments for cash. Ask any man who really knows about money. The last place you want to keep it is on your wrist. The best and brightest financial minds know that there is nothing to gain from showing off.

They make a fortune because they don’t invest in impressing strangers. In the case of the Stauer Buttonwood Watch, they spend £79 to save the £17,851 expense of a luxury logo. The Stauer Buttonwood takes its cue from the most respected watchmakers in the world. It is a gentleman’s timepiece that blends simple elegance with superior functionality.

The Buttonwood projects a sophis-ticated look with a textured, golden face set within a rose gold layered, hobnail-patterned bezel and case. The face is elegantly spare, highlighted with detailed metalwork and ringed with classic black Roman numerals. A detailed crown and padded black leather band (with white stitching) add the final touches of class. Inside, the precision quartz movement vibrates thousands of times a second to keep you on schedule and on time... no matter where in the world your business takes you. I can’t tell you how many well-to-do people give out the exact same advice. Don’t keep your money parked in the garage and don’t keep it parked on your wrist.

The only thing that a watch needs to do is keep time accurately and dependably. Yes, it helps when it can also look great doing its job. That’s why when a combination of form and function like the Stauer Buttonwood comes along, it’s an insider tip worth sharing.

Forget sleek and subtle, the Stauer Colossus Hybrid is one tough timepiece

Size matters. Just ask Demetrius, the unfortunate Greek general who was sent to conquer Rhodes in 305 BC. He figured that a massive force of 40,000 men, a fleet of Aegean pirates and an arsenal of wall-smashing war machines would be enough to crush the tiny Greek island. But the people of Rhodes were ready and they put up a bigger fight than Demetrius expected. They held the island, repelled his attack and sent the legendary “Beseiger of Cities” back to Cyprus with his tail between his legs. To celebrate their victory, the Rhodians con-structed a huge tribute to their patron god, Helios. The monument was paid for with the abandoned wares of Demetrius’ army and crafted from the melted-down metals of the enemy’s armaments.

The Colossus of Rhodes was a 107-foot bronze and iron giant that towered over the harbour like a ten-storey trophy, warning future invaders that “Rhodes is tougher than you think.” You communicate the same mes-sage when you strap on the Stauer Colossus. In designing the watch, my instructions were clear. Build it as tough as a battleship and fill it full of surprises. Make it a hybrid, because it should work twice as hard as a regular watch. And make it look like a million bucks. When I put it on I want to get excited about rolling up my sleeves. Looking at the final product, I’d say “Mission Accomplished.” The Colossus Hybrid Watch may not be old enough to qualify as a Wonder of the Ancient World, but it’s still darn impressive. The heavy metal case features a rotating gunmetal bezel that frames the stunning analogue/digital dial with markers and numerals that really pop against the bold black face. Luminous white hands and a bright yellow second hand mark analogue time with a precision quartz movement and a trio of digital windows handle time as well as day, date. The Colossus secures with a unique folded stainless steel bracelet that includes textured, dark-toned centre links. A rugged timepiece that proves even tougher than it looks. Quartz movement, Case: Alloy, Analogue and digital display, Water Resistant Up to 3 ATM.

In the winter of 1784, Spain lost a shipload of spare change that would have saved their colonial North American em-pire. The El Cazador was a brigantine of war, loaded with coins from the Mexico City mint, bound for the port of New Orleans. The precious cargo was desperately needed by the Spanish to help stabilize the money system in their Louisi-ana territory. When it disappeared, Spain was left no choice but to sell to the French. The rest, as they say, is 5th-grade history. In 1803, Napoleon sold Louisiana to the United States, instantly doubling the size of the country. With that in mind, wearing this 18th-Century Spanish Silver Reale Timepiece is like wearing a bit of American history. Or to be more precise, two bits. The authentic Spanish coin inside this watch is a 2-Bit Silver Reale, a rare artefact from the late 1700s. While the coin inside this watch isn’t salvaged from the Cazador wreck, it was likely minted in the same places and circulated through colonial America. Before the USA forged there own currency, it adopted Spanish coins for everyday trade. It may be possible that the rustic silver piece inside your watch passed through the hands of the Founding Fathers. It may have bought Ben Franklin a beer. Or maybe it helped pay for George Washington’s new glasses. Whatever history it’s seen over the last 230 years, it’s future is secure on your wrist. We set this coin at the cen-tre of a uniquely-designed, antique-finished dial inside a gold-layered stainless-steel case. A quartz movement keeps precise time and the watch secures with a croc-embossed, genuine black leather band. Once you wear this historic coin watch, you’ll understand the meaning of time well spent.

Bonjour. Ciao. Guten tag. How do you say hello in Switzerland? Truth is, depending on where you are in the country, any of those might do. Switzerland is in the extremely unique situation of being home to three major European languages. But there is one language that all Swiss speak, one language that brings them together. The language of time. And no matter how you choose to say it, anyone can plainly see that the Swiss Made Stauer Lucerne is a masterpiece. This watch loses nothing in translation. Crafted by the world-renowned mas-ters of timekeeping, this is the kind of machine that speaks volumes about the man who wears it. It says that you respect elegance, style and tradition. From the rose gold fused rectangular case, to the etched face and eye catching hour markers, down to the genuine leather band the design of this watch conjures classics from the past. Quartz, ATM: 5, Case material: Rose gold plated Stainless Steel. In our search for inspiration we visited the workshops of the masters. There we studied memorable timepieces that honored all that it means to be Swiss: form, function, focus. We observed them building movements one tiny piece at a time. And it became clear that there’s a reason Switzerland is the land of watchmaking legends. But as grand as that experience was, nothing compares to wearing the finished product. All anyone has to see is the Swiss shield at 12 o’clock to know that you value your time. That shield tells everyone that this is a genuine, Swiss made timepiece. Driven by a precision Swiss movement, the Stauer Lucerne delivers unparalleled accuracy for a remarkable price. Wear it today and make sure everyone knows you speak the universal language of Switzerland.

Every month like clockwork the cutting-edge tech companies interrupt us to brag about the next big thing. Problem is, that big thing is always a bit smaller, a tad faster and only a few pixels clearer. Do they really expect us to get excited about slight variations on the same old thing? Well, if you’ve gotten used to being underwhelmed, it’s time to be impressed again. The Stauer Volante is a triumph of watchmaking function and design. And we’re going to make a big deal about it, because it actually is a big deal. That’s why most com-panies, whether they’re building luxury sedans or laptops, aim for the middle of the road. There’s less risk. If you don’t aim high, you don’t have as far to fall. But here at Stauer, we appreciate the risk-takers. Intrepid explorers who head into the unknown in search of treasure. Bold artists who follow their creative voice. And visionary watchmakers who build machines that look decades ahead of their time. The Stauer Volante is a watch that stands alone. Its broad rectangular case instantly catches the eye. Inspired by the dashboards of the greatest concept cars that never hit the road? Possibly. A fantastic blend of Jules Verne and James Bond? Maybe. But one thing is certain, wearing this watch that’s crafted of tough stainless steel and elegantly layered in 14K rose gold, speaks volumes about the man who dares to wear it.

A trip to an antique book store led us to find one of the earliest designs of the sought after skeleton timepiece. With a 235-year old design, Stauer has brought back the past in the intriguing old world geometry of the Stauer 1779 Skeleton. See right through to the precision parts and hand assem-bled movement and into the heart of the unique timepiece. The crystal on the front and the see through exhibition back allow you to observe the gold-fused mainspring, escapement, balance wheel and many of the 17 ru-bies working in harmony. The balance wheel oscillates at an incredible rate of cycles per hour for superb accuracy. The crocodile embossed leather strap adjusts from 7” to 8 3/4” (Mens) and 6 1/2” to 7 1/2” (Ladies) so it will fit practically any wrist. We took the timepiece to George Thomas, a noted

historian and watch restorer for major museums, and he dissected the 110 parts of the vintage move-ment. Manual Wind - Wind Everyday, Water Resistant: 5 ATM, Stainless Steel Case.

He gave the “1779” top reviews. When we shared the price with him, George was stunned. He said that no other luxury skeleton can be had for under £1000. We have been able to keep the price on this col-lector’s limited edition to under £100. So you can wear a piece of watch making history and still keep most of your money in your pocket, not on your wrist.

In 1876 Henry Clay Work wrote a famous song about a clock his grandfather owned that ran for as long as the man lived, some 90 years. It’s from that song “grandfather” clocks got their name. We can only hope that our Stauer Grandfather Pocket Watch will stick around that long, but if nothing else, maybe it will help you keep that cell phone in your pocket the next time

someone asks for the time. In our opinion, those cold digital displays just

can’t compete with the classic refinement of

this watch’s elegant gold-plated case

and beautifully embossed white

dial.

Who wouldn’t rather show off the stylish details of the sun/moon dial window and 24-hour indicator? Just like Henry’s grandfather’s clock, this watch is kept running with old-fashioned manual winding. And the escapement and balance wheel are visible through the hardened crystal, showing off the timeless craftsmanship that results in perfect time and performance. Just because something can fit in your pocket doesn’t mean it has to stay there. Comes complete with a classic 14” pocketwatch chain.

With gold prices up by over 275%, can you find great value in a 14ct gold plated watch? The mystery is how did we engineer a classic gold plated case watch with a Swiss movement for so little? “This really doesn’t make sense. The gold market is breaking records every month and Stauer comes out with a 14ct gold plated watch for under £500? Almost every other gold plated case watch on the market starts at £1,250.00. They are acting like gold is priced like it’s 1985” says Nicholas Bruyer, noted gold expert. So you may ask, “Is it possible to price a luxury time-piece at the same level as when gold prices bottomed out at £300 per ounce?” Yes. We know exactly how to en-gineer true value today. In fact, it’s precisely because of what’s going on in this uncertain economy that we have decided to reward our clients with such remarkable value. But it’s not just the precious metal that makes it spe-cial. The elegant silver guilloche dial, handsome Roman numerals, sapphire crown and alligator embossed leather band certainly puts this timepiece in the upper strata. And, watch collectors know to look for vintage details like the small second dial. It’s clear to even the most casual investigator that the Stauer 14ct Gold plated Orosconto is the perfect answer to today’s inflated prices. The Stauer 14ct Gold Plated Orosconto features remarkable 99.998% accuracy. We are so confident in this engineering that we offer a years warranty on the Swiss movement. Com-fortably thin at 7.5 mm, it will be easy to make this your everyday watch.

There’s a lot of heartache in Greek mythology. Take the story of Apollo and Daphne - hit by Eros’s arrow, Apollo was head over heels for Daphne. She, in turn, disliked him so much she wished herself into a laurel, leaving Apollo literally barking up the wrong tree. But what’s charming about this tale is that even in her arborous state, he continued to love and tend to her. So much so that she never decayed and turned into a beautiful evergreen, her laurel leaves forever after used as crowns to adorn the heads of world leaders.

We’ve designed our own version of eternal foliage with the DiamondAura® Daphne Gold-finished Pendant. This cascading collection of lab-created white stunner’s starts with a pear-cut bail and branches out with six marquise-cuts, before ending with an impressive teardrop that dangles like an enticing piece of fruit. Thankfully, there is no mythological magic involved in the transformation of this beauty. Only Stauer’s exclusive lab-created DiamondAura® gives you the luxury look of large-carat diamonds for a fraction of the price. The ingenious DiamondAura® process in-volves the use of rare minerals heated to incredibly high temperatures of nearly 5000°F. After cutting and polishing, scientists create a faultless marvel that’s optically brighter and clearer with even more colour and fire than a “D” flawless diamond. Our exclusive DiamondAura® jewelry features all of the classic specifications, including colour, clarity, cut and carat weight and is hard enough to cut glass. You get the look of mined stones, without the outrageous cost. So for your own love story, you are guaranteed a happy ending. Chain not included.

Whenever I visit Paris, I don’t use the internet. I call Isabelle. She’s an old friend who knows more about the City of Lights than anybody should. I dial her directly when I need to find the hottest restaurant or a perfect French pastry. When I catch her, she always points me in the right direction. But catching her is never easy. The woman is in constant motion and every one of my calls catches her in a railway station or on a runway. I made this watch with her in mind. The Stauer L’Avenir Watch is the perfect timepiece for the modern woman on the move. The soft waves on the face are framed by a bezel set with a sparkling halo of 104 round-cut, lab-created DiamondAura® rounds. Three sub-dials and a date window give her all the information she needs with the twist of a wrist. And the soft, gold-finished bracelet locks secure with a butterfly clasp. The Czar’s jeweller was a genius. As the creator of decora-tive pieces for Russia’s royalty, the master craftsman and his assistants created dozens of unique Imperial Eggs. No two were the same and each is now worth a fortune. The process usually took an entire year of design, planning and fabrication. As the royal jeweller, he was able to retain some of the best goldsmiths, enamellers, silversmiths, jewellers and stone-cutters in the world. Together they invented jewellery techniques, mixed bold new colours and pushed their creativity and skill far beyond where they had gone before. It’s fitting then that we pay tribute to Russia’s legendary royal egg art with some innovation of our own. The decorative, enameled, Jewellery Egg evokes the style of the Romanov masterpieces. The entire egg rests ele-gantly on a gleaming, crystal-studded stand. What’s the big secret? The hinged egg flips open to reveal a luxury interior for displaying (and storing) a miniature Egg Pendant which dangles from a 24” cable chain.

What does time really look like? I was peering over the shoulder of one of ourmaster watch-makers when I found my answer. He assem-bled every tiny spring, gear and component with the steady hand of a surgeon. When his creation finally came to life, more than 130 precision parts worked in harmony to count the seconds. And I wondered: If the true es-sence of time is hidden inside this meticulous mechanical symphony, then why cover it up? The Stauer Gold Plated Verité (French for “truth”) gives you an unobstructed win-dow into the inner workings of time itself. Since many of our most popular timepieces feature open case backs, it seemed clear that our clients appreciated transparency. It was time to take it all off. It was time to lose face.Without the traditional opaque dial, the Verité gives you a clear, front-to-back view of the expertly-crafted timemachine inside. No part of theminiature masterpiece is obscured. You see every second pass with gear clicks and the hummingbird flutter of the balance wheel. Unlike traditional skeletons, the rare design of the Verité condenses the entire watchworks into a much smaller area. The Verité fits a classicmanualmovement into an elegant golden plated “bridge.” Because such precision requires a watchmaker of exceptional skill, similar luxury-brand designs can sell for asmuch as £20,000. Inside, two blued hands mark time along Roman numerals that float on a clear dial inside the gold plated case. Wheels and screws glisten in metallic blue, silver and gold colors, balanced by 17 shimmering jewels. The Gold plated Verité secures with a genuine brown leather strap and is water-resistant to 3 ATMs. Wrist Sizes: 6 ¾” to 8 ½”.

Ceylon, present day Sri Lanka, is an island of intrigue and exoticism. As the traveller journeys through this land of mystery, it presents a panorama of striking natural beauty. The island has from very ancient times been famous for its gems, of which the most eminent are magnificent sapphires. We were inspired by ancient myth and old-world geography to design “The Ceylon Sapphire Bracelet”. The Ceylon Brace-let boasts 41 lab-created sapphires: 21 princess-cut Ceylon Blues, each 0.75 carats (15.75 ctw); and 20 princess-cut white sapphires, each 0.35 carats (7.00 ctw). This magnificent bracelet is mounted in a tar-nish-free glistening setting. Bracelet measures 7.5”.

The Stauer 1938 Majestic Watch is a sleek tribute to Hollywood’s Golden Age. This is the watch that the big screen’s biggest stars might have flaunted at red carpet premieres or the Academy Awards. After combing through hundreds of vintage watches, we found a co-star worthy of history’s most popular leading men. The streamlined Art Deco design and unique display of the Ma-jestic was inspired by a rare timepiece style

of the 1930s. Wristwatches with digital indication used rotating discs instead of hands to show the time. Finding similar vintage movements in working order is rare. And even then, it can cost you a small for-tune. But, by painstakingly reproducing the complex mechanics, we’ve given you a more accurate update of the stylish original. That’s like getting balcony seats at the world premiere for the price of a matinee The easy to read dial shows the hour and minute through a triangular window in the gold-toned, stain-less steel case. Powered by a precise movement, the Majestic secures with a black leather strap and is water-resistant to 3 ATMs. Finally a Hollywood remake that gets it right! Wrist Sizes::6-3/4”- 8-1/4”.

How do we build such a fine machine for such a low price? We decided that we could save you a fortune on the perfect watch if we moved the factory across the border and out of Switzerland. By using Swiss built machinery and Swiss trained engineers, Stauer is able to build this magnificent limited edition Stauer Monaco automatic time-piece for 93% less than a comparable luxury model. We hired Swiss trained engineers to manage the production. We even purchased Swiss calibrators to ensure rigorous accuracy. But we avoided the high taxes and high marketing costs in Switzerland.

We built this brilliant timepiece with a 6-hand movement.

The Stauer Monaco displays the date and day of the week. A third interior dial displays 24-hour military time. The exquisite automatic movement is powered by your body’s motion so it never needs batteries. The interior workingshave over 185 parts assembled by hand. Twenty four jewells act to minimize the friction on the gears and rotors so the movement maintains incredible accuracy. Every single watch is timed for 15 days before it leaves the factory. You can tell the quality by the smooth sweeping motion of the second hand. It doesn’t click like a mass produced quartz movement. Show the world that you are not a slave to the brainwashing of the overpaid Swiss marketing experts.Cut out the high priced jewellery store. Stop paying for the yacht race sponsorships and for outrageous Central Lon-don rents that inflate the prices of the “luxury” brands. Stauer brings the ultimate luxury watch directly to you. This one comes with the added luxury of keeping your money in your wallet, not on your wrist. Wrist Sizes: 7” to 8 1/2”.

Need more passion in your life? Looking for some romantic heat to ignite that old flame? You’re not going to find it in the drug store. The secret of history’s great lovers had nothing to do with pharmaceuticals. Casanova and Valentino wooed women the old-fashioned way: with chivalry, poetry and stunning gemstones. If you want to melt her heart, forget subtlety. Go for fireworks. Our Romantica Ruby Necklace features a jaw-dropping 170 carats of smooth-polished, lab created rubies. The Romantica is a grand gesture guaranteed to make her swoon. The world’s rarest and most precious stone has been working its magic for centuries. Ruby is the red variety of the mineral corundum, one of Earth’s hardest minerals. It has everything a precious stone should have including intense colour, superb hardness (second only to a diamond) and rarity. So it’s no wonder that top quality rubies achieve such high prices at auctions, surpassing even the hammer price for diamonds in equal classification. At one time in history, the regal ruby was considered 8 times more valuable than diamonds. Ancient people even believed that rubies were lit from within by an inextinguishable flame. Luckily, after thousands of years reigning as the “King of Gems,” the passionate fire inside of the radiant red ruby has shown no signs of cooling. Desire for this sultry, seductive stone is hotter than ever. And at a price this low, it’s the perfect time to get things smouldering again. The Romantica Necklace was designed to take her breath away. This 170-carat windfall of ravishing red lab created rubies is strung together into an elegant, hand-knotted 18” necklace that secures with a gold-finished chain and lobster clasp (plus a 2” extender). The size and shape of each bead is unique, with nat-ural colour variations from burgundy to bordeaux. And because you can never give too much of a good thing, we’ve included equally stunning matching earrings and a bracelet in the collection. It’s time to turn up the heat!

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. But I’ve always found that the worst of times brings out the best in all of us. The day Carol got her cancer diagnosis, she began the fight for her life. And her daughters were right there with her. They shuttled her to appointments, cooked meals, and generally took care of things so their mother could focus on treatment. One year later, Carol is in remission and continues to fight. But these days, that fight isn’t for herself, it’s for everybody else. Because while she’s in the clear, there are millions of others who aren’t. The struggle through treatment and the overwhelming roller coaster of good days, bad days and worse. These women are wives, mothers and daughters who need our united and unconditional support. It’s easy to feel helpless and hopeless. It’s harder to do something. But doing something- anything- is what makes a difference. Carol told me once that it was the small things that made the biggest impact. Unexpected visitors. Homemade desserts. Even the occasional glimpse of a tiny pink ribbon that showed her that she was not alone in this fight. “It’s powerful knowing that other people, even strangers, are pulling for you,” said Carol. “It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but that’s the kind of encouragement that turns victims into survivors.” We all know and love people who are faced with the fight of their lives. We’re offering the Solidarity Pink Ribbon Necklace as a way to show them that we’re all on the same team. The beautiful .925 sterling silver and sparkling pink, lab-created DiamondAura® pendant is a simple symbol of strength and courage. Wear it proudly knowing that you were one of those who took action. The Solidarity Pink Ribbon Necklace sends a clear message to the world that love is not a luxury... hope is stronger than fear... and surrender is simply not an option.

In 1929 the finest watchmaker in Switzerland created a legendary timepiece so rare that only a handful ever show up for auction. Luckily for watch collectors, after 75 years, many of the patents have expired. So now we are able to handcraft the world’s first replicas at a fraction of the price of the originals. Complex watches from the 1920s and 30s are highly prized by collectors because of their impeccable design, innovative functions and scarcity. Inspired by the 1929 mechanical chronograph that recently sold for £1,487,000, our Stauer Vendage has been painstakingly handcrafted to meet the demanding standards of vintage watch col-lectors. The Vendage has a 27-jewel automatic movement, powered by the motion of the body, that never needs batteries and never needs to be manually wound. The magnificently-etched guilloche face includes two interior dials that display day and month with a date window at 6 o’clock. It’s truly a masterpiece. Metal band Wrist Sizes: 6 1/2 “–9”.

Make a royal impression with 90 carats of gorgeous golden yellow canary DiamondAura®! Baron Waldstein of Moravia had one thing on his mind when he visited England in the summer of 1600. Her name was Elizabeth and she was one of the most powerful women on the planet. The young Baron admired the architecture of the country and toured all of the abbeys and palaces, but the idea of an audience with the Queen was going to be the highlight of his trip. In his diary, he wrote how much he hoped to see “the greatest object of my journey ‘the figure of the Queen’ glittering with the glory of majesty and adorned with jewellery and precious gems.” You can be certain that Elizabeth did not disappoint her guest.

Much like the grand and breathtaking statement pieces found among the Royal Jewels, our Coronation Col-lection was designed specifically to impress visitors. The spectacular cuts of golden yellow, lab-created Dia-mondAura® glisten inside their gold-finished settings. But that 18” of radiant sparkle is just a warm-up for the stunning canary DiamondAura® teardrop pendant. The 18-carat lab-crafted pear dangles from the extravagant strand like a museum treasure set free for the night. Costa Rican volcona reveals its deepest,

darkest secretPick-up lines and occasional compliments are the tools of amateurs. Real romance takes commitment, practice, dedication. And the finest love-smiths around use every technique in the book. They write poetry. They show up on her doorstep holding a

bottle of champagne. They learn to cook and dance. With the experts of affection, date nights happen “just because.” But most importantly, these courtship connoisseurs know that no matter how you act, it has to be sincere. It has to come from the heart. Here at Stauer, we couldn’t agree more. But we also know that not everyone can express themselves like Casanova, and not everyone can afford secret romantic getaways. That’s why we’re giving you the chance to show her that you’re a talented tender-heart (for a price that will melt your heart). Give her this abso-lutely radiant, genuine Murano Amora Heart! Where does one go to be in the presence of real passion? Well, when we set out to bring you this impressive handmade Italian work of art, we went nowhere but the birthplace of Casanova himself. In the homeland of that Venetian love legend, we were almost guar-anteed to stumble upon something with un-surpassed sweetness. And lucky us, when we visited the Venetian island of Murano, that’s just what we found. In Murano, masters have been creating delicately handcrafted works

of art since the 13th Century, using techniques that have remained largely unchanged. Carefully spinning and blowing molten glass from enormous furnaces, the artists mold fantastic forms in colours that swim with light. It’s an amazing process that (just like love) takes a lifetime to perfect. The Amora is a magnificent example of Murano Glass art. Hanging gracefully from an elegant silk cord that closes with a fine .925 sterling silver lobster clasp, the heart almost glows in resplendent red, while its smooth polished surface sends gleaming flashes of light in every direction. You may not consider yourself a master of love just yet, but with the Amora, at least you can show her that you’re all heart.

A. 24715 Piedra de mar Pendant £199.99

The last time I was in the Dominican Republic, I was seeking what every jewellery enthusiast looks for on this tiny island— Larimar, the exquisite blue stone that is only found in the island’s mountainsides. Discovered just a little less than forty years ago, it has become a source of work and pride for so many locals. You can mine for it yourself, although I don’t recommend it if you’re claustrophobic. I met an old designer who told me about his long love for Larimar. He told me how when he was a young boy, it used to wash up on shore, with the shells and other stones. He thought it was made of the water, since it matched the vibrant turquoise of the sea. He and his brother called it “piedra de mar,” ocean stone, and would bring it home in handfuls to their mother as a gift. She kept them in an old glass jar on her bedroom dresser. Today it sits on his beat-up work table. He works day in and day out with this beautiful stone, the gem of his country.

Our Piedra de Mar collection is a tribute to these talented craftspeople. Set in .925 sterling silver, each piece is unique-every hue of blue a little different, each vein of white moving in a slightly different dir-ection. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to own something so rare and beautiful.

On my last trip to Venice I opted for a gondola ride. Perhaps a bit touristy, but there’s no doubt that best place to see the floating city is from the water. And the best guide is always the gondolier with the widest smile. Be-tween my broken Italian and his broken English, the words didn’t really matter. He loved the city and his pas-sion was contagious. “My heart belongs to Venice,” he said. And after the ride, so did mine.

That ride reminded me of what it means to have real passion for your work. And there’s no place on Earth where that passion burns hotter than on Murano. Every piece that comes from the centuries-old workshops of the island’s glass craftsmen is stunning. Our Gondola Collection features a gallery of hand-crafted glass beads, each uniquely shaped and coloured. Made in Italy.

You can bet that the world’s first beaded necklace was simple. It was likely nothing more than a few stones or shells strung together. We’ve come a long way in terms of style. But not much has changed in the creation. It’s still a slow process that involves adding one bead at a time. One after another after another after another. It’s a timeless art that demands infinite patience and precision. One look at our Bandar Glass Bead Collection will tell you that it was well worth the wait. Crafted by artists drawing on centuries of tradition, it is a stylish modern take on a very old-fash-ioned idea. Ancient Romans perfected the art of glass beads. The tiny treasures became important currency for explorers during the Age of Discovery. They traded the beads for everything from exotic ma-terials and spices to precious metals. When the European beads reached the shores of Indonesia, they revolutionized the island’s jewellery traditions. Few materials were more prized and soon Indonesia’s most exceptional glass beads were considered more valuable than gold. Think of this necklace as a direct descendant of gener-ations of jewellery history. Handcrafted in Indonesia, our Bandar Necklace features 20 individual strands, each containing a near-countless wealth of gorgeous, golden-hued glass beads. The dramatic 36” length lays beautifully with a rich look and a lightweight feel. Twist it like a toreador or let it simply swoop. The Ban-dar secures with a beaded toggle closure. The companion Bandar Glass Bead Cuff showcases a crisscross design of beadwork in an accommodating and flexible design. Together these pieces conjure images of faraway lands and a lost island paradise. But they also echo with a smart sense of fashion and global style. Once you see them up close, you’ll realize that there are a thousand little reasons to be impressed. Once you wear them, you’ll understand why, after hundreds of years, the bead still goes on.

Make up for lost timeThe 1945 Léman Timepiece is inspired by a classic from the most famous of vintage Swiss watchmakers. Advanced tech-nology makes it even more accurate than the original, without losing any of its signature style. Holding the finished product makes me wish I could share it with my grandfather. The wrist-watch that started it all. His father gave it to him as a gift for being the first person in the family to graduate from college. Throughout my childhood, whenever I asked him to see it, he’d show it off like a proud parent. I loved that watch almost as much as he did. And so when he lost it, I think I was the only one who understood how much it hurt. Reconstructing the past. It was only once I got into this business that I fully grasped the true value of such a rare timepiece. I’ve been working for the last 20 years trying to recreate a worthy replacement for his missing masterpiece. Just like the 1945 original, the Léman has been given a distinctive square case marked with simple indicators. The face is rich with vintage detail, including a serpentine hand to mark the date and a distinctive moon phase display. With the introduction of our Léman, I’m finally making up for lost time. I’ve been back to London more times than I can count and the sight of Big Ben never gets old. The legendary GothicRevival tower stands as tall as it did in 1859 when it was first introduced to the world. Except for a few snags, the famously reliable clock has chimed through good times and bad, in years of peace and during the scourge of war. Today, Big Ben remains the most recognisable-and hard-est working timepiece in the world. The problem with Ben is you can’t take him with you, so we put the big clock on a diet. Using the famous 23-foot wide face as inspiration, designers at Stauer have created a scaled down homage that would make even Her Majesty proud. The Stauer Big Ben Watch features an etched enamel dial with black hands and markings that echo the 19th century cast iron and opal glass design of the original. Protecting the exquisite dial is a gold-finished case that fastens with a genuine brown leather strap and is waterproof to 3 ATM. Every Big Ben Watch is expertly constructed using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled, machines for remarkable accuracy that may just surpass the record of the original. It doesn’t matter if you’re a lifelong Anglophile or you’ve just always wanted a British accent, right now is thebest time to make the most famous face in London yours!

Legendary lady of the Old West inspires a stunning collection of stylish beads and shimmering gold!“Pretty as a Victorian cameo and, when necessary, tougher than two-penny nails.” That’s what they used to say about Nellie Cash-man, so-called “angel” of the Wild West. She caught the pioneering bug when Ulysses S. Grant told her to seek adventure out west, and go west she did. In a life that would include working as a prospector, store owner, nurse and res-taurateur, Cash-man would always find time to help those in need. After moving to British Columbia to cash in on a gold strike, she heard that dozens of men were stranded in Cassiar Mountains in a snowstorm, Cash-man immediately gathered a small crew to mount a rescue. Attempting to save these men was considered so dangerous that even the Canadian Army wouldn’t go.

The Angel of Tombstone Collection captures the pioneering spirit of this true American original. Inspired by the fabled White Buffalo Turquoise found in the Nevada mountains, this necklace, bracelet and earrings is a testament to the strength and courage of those founding men and women of the Wild West. With gold-finished spacers to symbolize the gold rush that sparked so many to head into the unknown, these unique pieces are truly meant for those determined individuals who won’t take no for an answer. Don’t miss your chance to cash in on the mother lode. Get the collection inspired by a true angel.

For their own mechanical health, all automatic watches should be kept wound and running to ensure proper lubrica-tion and cut down on wear. Using screw-down crowns on a steady basis for manual winding will result in a shorter life for these spring-loaded crowns. In time, this can actually damage the threads on the crown or case and compromise the water resistance of the watch.

Now with our most affordable model to date, you can enjoy the convenience and peace of mind of owning a watch winder without breaking the bank. This one-rotor design will wind clockwise or counter-clockwise. The count-down function allows it to auto rotate your watch for one hour and rest for 3 hours. AC adapter included.

Back in 1933, the single most import-ant watch ever built was engineered for a quiet millionaire collector named Henry Graves. It took over three years and the most advanced horological technique to create the multifunction masterpiece. This one-of-a kind watch was to become the most coveted piece in the collection of the Museum of Time near Chicago. Recently this ultra-rare innovation was auctioned off for the record price of £5,628,000 by Sotheby’s to a secretive anonymous collector. Now the watch is locked away in a private vault in an unknown location. We believe that a classic like this should be available to true watch aficionados, so Stauer replicated the exact Graves design in the limited edition Graves ’33.The antique enamelled face and Bruguet hands are true to the original. But the real beauty of this watch is on the inside. We replicated an

extremely complicated automatic movement with 27 jewels and seven hands. There are over 210 individual parts that are assembled entirely by hand and then tested for over 15 days on Swiss calibrators to ensure accur-acy. What makes rare watches rare? Business Week states it best…“It’s the complications that can have the big-gest impact on price.” The four interior complications on our Graves™ watch display the month, day, date and the 24 hour clock graphically depicts the sun and the moon. The innovative engine for this timepiece is powered by the movement of the body as the

automatic rotor winds the mainspring. It never needs batteries and never needs to be manu-ally wound. The preci-sion crafted gears are “lubricated” by 27 jew-els that give the hands a smooth sweeping move-ment. And the watch is

tough enough to stay water resistant to 5 atmospheres. The movement is covered by a years warranty. Not only have we emulated this stunning watch of the 1930s but just as surprising, we’ve been able to build this luxury timepiece for a spectacular price. Many fine 27-jewelled automatics that are on the market today are usually priced well over £1,000, but you can enter the rarified world of fine watch collecting for under £130. You can now wear a millionaire’s watch but still keep your millions in your pocket. Wrist Sizes::6 1/2” to 9”.

In the early 1930’s watch manufacturers took a clue from Henry Ford’s favourite quote concerning his automobiles, “You can have any colour as long as it is black.” Black dialled watches became the rage especially with pilots and race drivers. Of course, since the black dial went just as well with a black tuxedo, the adventurer’s black dial watch easily moved from the airplane hangar to dancing at the nightclub. Now, Stauer brings back the “Noire”, a design based on an elegant timepiece built in 1936. Black dialled, complex automatics from the 1930’s have recently hit new heights at auction. One was sold for in excess of £305,000. We thought that you might like to have an affordable version that will be much more accurate than the original.

Basic black with a twist. Not only are the dial, hands and face vintage, but we used a 27-jewelled automatic movement. This is the kind of engineering desired by fine watch collectors worldwide. But since we design this classic movement on state of the art, comput-

er-controlled Swiss built machines, the accuracy is excellent. Our Accuracy Standard is an astounding 99.94%. Three interior dials display day, month and date. The screw-down crown keeps the watch water resistant to 5 atms. And, we have priced the luxurious Stauer Gold plated Noire at a price to keep you in the black…now only £129.99!

We found our most important watch in a soldier’s pocket

It’s the summer of 1944 and a weathered allied soldier is walking in Rome only days after the Allied Liberation. He finds an inter-esting timepiece in a store just off the Via Veneto and decides to splurge a little on this memento. He loved the way it felt in his hand, and the complex movement inside the case intrigued him. He also really liked the hunter’s back that opened to reveal a secret compartment. He nicknamed the watch Ritorno for “homecoming” and according to The Complete Guide to Watches, the rare heir-loom is now valued at over £20,000. But to us, it is just a reminder that nothing is more beautiful than the smile of a healthy returning soldier. We wanted to bring this little piece of personal history back to life in a faithful reproduction. We’ve used a 22-jewelled movement reminiscent of the best watches of the 1940s.

We then test it for 15 days on Swissmade calibrators to ensure accuracy to only seconds a day. The movement displays the day and date on the antique satin-finished face and the sweep second hand lets any watch expert know that it has a fine automatic movement, If you appreciate the rare, the classic, and the museum-calibre collectible, we have a limited number of Ritornos available. We hope that it will remind you to take time to remember what is truly valuable. Wrist Sizes: 7 1/2” to 8 3/4”.

A. 20781 Stauer Swiss Grandis Watch £299.99

The original status update

I’m old enough to remember when shameless self-promotion was called bragging. Success used to be a digni-fied, private affair and the man who did well for himself didn’t shout it from the rooftops. When someone up-dated their status, they did so discreetly. One day you might notice a sharper suit or shinier shoes. Inevitably, every man’s prosperity would find its way to the wrist. And nothing said “success” like a Swiss watch.

Our Stauer Grandis Watch is a masterpiece of fine watchmaking tradition. Elegance on the wrist. In 300 years, mankind hasn’t invented a more distinguished way to elevate your personal style. The Grandis is tasteful, not flamboyant. Simple without being plain. All class and entirely Swiss-made with a precise quartz moment . This is the watch that says everything it needs to say in hushed tones and immaculate design. It was made espe-cially for the man who knows that nobility is about more than posture and proportion. It’s about tradition. It’s about time. Simplicity rules the design with bold Roman numerals and a radiant, rippled guilloche pattern. The rose-gold fused case and genuine brown leather strap provide the finishing touches. While the Grandis certainly looks worthy of a spot beside some of the most important Swiss watches ever made, one exception keeps it off the auction block: price. Let the millionaires duke it out in a bidding war. You’ve just found the per-fect watch to let the world know you’ve arrived. Quartz, ATM: 5, Case Gold fused Stainless steel, Band Material: Genuine leather.

I trade antique watches from the 1920s through the 1950s and love to come across masterpieces in timepiece en-gineering. Just yesterday I bought and sold two beautifully designed classics for about £90,000. But fine antique watches leave me frustrated. Because they’re so delicate and difficult to fix, I almost never wear one. So we came up with a solution: The Stauer Quotidien. Using a design reminiscent of the early complicated wristwatches of the 1920s (from three of my favorite high-end makers) we’ve created a modern day masterpiece... with a surprisingly “antique” price. The world’s finest “brand new antique”? Today, we can build a vintage-styled automatic time-piece with multiple complications, enhanced by modern accuracy and durability that you can wear without the worry.

The Quotidien features a 22-jewelled automatic movement that is a marvel of miniaturized precision. The interior “eyes” or complications include a 24-hour clock, as well as day of the week, date and month. But at this “antique” price, you can wear it every day without the worry. And by the way, this modern marvel is far more accurate than our collection of fine antiques. Unlike the older pieces, our modern “antique” carries a 1-year warranty on the movement and a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Feel free to test out this historic timepiece or send it back, no questions asked. See our T&C’s on page 63.

A. 20840 Stauer Prestige Watch £299.99

Putting on a genuine Swiss watch should make you feel something. Because the truth is, the Swiss seem to compre-hend better than anyone that a watch means something. They haven’t forgotten that there was a time before time, before people measured minutes and days. They know that every timepiece from the first sundial to the modern digital watch is the product of someone long ago experiencing the desire to understand the chronology of life. And as a result the Swiss infuse their masterpieces with a sense of respect and love for time itself. That’s why when we bring you a genuine Swiss, we ensure its style is timeless. Time passes but that doesn’t mean a design should. Enter the Stauer Prestige.

Based on a long-loved design that’s been popular with the world’s best watchmakers for over thirty years. The Prestige understands that honouring the past is just as important as looking to the future. Its classic ivory-toned face is etched with geometric detail, marked with raised gold-toned hour indicators, and includes a date window at 3 o’clock. The movement is an accurate genuine all-Swiss quartz, and the case is constructed of sturdy black and rose-gold toned stainless steel. The most striking details of The Prestige are its dodecahedral bezel and its rose-gold hinge accents along the tough rubber strap. But the entire piece is a testament to the way the Swiss take time and style very seriously.

This is our finest hour

How dare Stauer break the unwritten rule in Switzerland? Chaos erupted at this year’s Basel watch fair. The watchmaking elite attacked me in French, German and Italian (with the occasional British accent), outraged that Stauer would engineer a luxury Swiss-made timepiece for an extremely low price. They said it couldn’t be done, but we did it anyway. Now you get to wear the spectacular Swiss-Made Stauer Bienne for our exclusive price! Join the luxury revolution. The crown princes of watchmaking worried that their exorbitant yacht vacations in Monaco would be in jeopardy. For years they convinced the world that Swiss luxury should cost thousands. But in reality, those thousands went to Swiss bank accounts, six-figure supermodels and ski chalets and not into the engineering of the watches. Shame on them. It’s time for a change. You deserve it.

You can own an exquisitely engineered Swiss timepiece without over spending. The only thing that matters is the machine and the quality of the refined quartz movements. So we went to the factory in Bienne and met with Francois, a fourth generation watch maker who makes masterpieces that sell for £5,000 and more. Working together we smashed the once unbreakable price barrier. The shockwaves have turned the luxury watch world upside-down. That’s why the Swiss declared war on us. We consider it a compliment.

Mr. Bigshot rolled up in a roaring high-performance Italian sports car, dropping attitude like his £22,000 watch made

it okay for him to be rude. That’s when I decided to roll up my sleeves and teach him a lesson. “Nice watch,”

We did, but he literally paid 110 times more for his membership. Bigshot bragged about his five figure purchase, a luxury

heavyweight from the titan of high-priced timepieces. I told him that mine was the Stauer Corso, a 27-jewelled automatic classic now available for only £199.99. And just like that, the man was at a

uncompromising precision, impressive performance and the most elegant styling.

You deserve a watch that can hold its own against the luxury classics for a fraction of the price.

You’ll feel the quality as soon as you put it on your wrist. This is an expertly- crafted time machine... not a

cry for attention. Wear a mechanical masterpiece for only £199.99! We surveyed our customers. As intelligent, high net worth individuals, they have outgrown the need to show off. They have nothing to prove; they already proved it. They want superb quality and astonishing value. And that’s exactly what we deliver. The Stauer Corso is proof that the worth of a watch doesn’t depend on the size of its price tag. Peer through the exhibition back to see the 27-jewelled automatic movement in action and you’ll

understand why we can only offer the Corso in a limited edition. Our speciality is vintage automatic movements. The

Corso is driven by a self-winding design, inspired by a 1923 pat-ent. Your watch will never need batteries. Every second of power is

generated by the movement of your body. The black dial features a trio of date complications including a graphic day/night display. The Corso secures

with a two-toned stainless steel bracelet and is water-resistant to 3 ATMs.

It took us more than 27 Full Moons to get this one right. It might have been one small step for Stauer but it’s one giant leap for the watch collector. The 29 day Stauer Moon Phase tracks the phases of the moon—from new to full. Moon Phase watches have always been quite complex and very expensive but Stauer has engineered a way to build true moon phase functionality using a space age quartz movement at a reasonable price. The coin edged case is plated in 18k rose gold and the etched antiqued ivory dial and Roman numerals are reminiscent of a design from 1929. But under that classic vintage design, the en-gineering is quite ingenious. Recently a Moon Phase watch sold at auc-tion for over £90,000 but we think that we can save you about 99.8% with a watch that is more than 99.995% accurate thanks to the high spec Swiss quartz movement. Those are numbers that add up pretty well. So if you want to know the precise time or find out when the next full moon is so you can avoid those werewolves, Stauer has got you covered. This is a limited edition of 2,499 pieces so please don’t wait. This kind of watch only comes around once in a blue moon. In the most decisive sea battle of the Napoleonic Wars, the French navy and its allies lost a total of 22 warships. The British lost none. During the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, Britain’s Admiral Horatio Nelson became a national hero...but also lost his life. The Stauer Nelson Timepiece is modeled after the gold pocket watch found on Nelson after he was killed. Built by legendary British watchmaker Josiah Emery in 1787, the original watch recently sold at auction for more than £637,000. This unique timepiece replicates the extremely rare, “regulator” style that counts minutes along the outside dial while hours and seconds are clocked in separate complications. The automatic, 20-jewelled Stauer Nelson features a handsome gold-fused stainless steel case, case back and crown. Mineral glass protects the antiqued, ivory-coloured dial, marked with bold black numerals. The watch fastens with a crocodile embossed leather strap and is waterproof to 3 ATM. Wrist Sizes: 6 " to 8".

The 1930s brought unprecedented innovation in machine-age technology and materials. Indus-trial designers from the auto industry translated the principles of aerodynamics and streamlining into everyday objects like radios and toasters. It was also a decade when an unequalled variety of watch cases and movements came into being (movement - Automatic). In lieu of hands to tell time, one such complication, called a jumping mechanism, utilized numerals on a disc viewed through a window. With its striking resemblance to the dashboard gauges and radio dials of the decade, the jump hour watch was indeed “in tune” with the times! The Stauer 1930 Dashtronic deftly blends

the modern functionality of a 21-jewel automatic movement and 3-ATM water resistance with the distinctive, retro look of a jumping display (not an actual jumping complication). True to Machine Art aesthetics, the sleek brushed stainless steel case is clear on the back, allowing a peek at the inner workings. The 1 1/2” case is complemented with a black alligator-embossed leather band. Wrist Sizes:7”–8 1/2”.

Colorado The U.S. government has engineered the most ingenious, most accurate clock in the world: the F-1 U.S. Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. Our extraordinary new Stauer Titanium Atomic Watch utilizes the transmissions directly from that remarkable cesium fission atomic clock to report the most precise time. And it is now available in the UK! - synchronizing with the cesium fission clock in Cumbria. This sci-entifically advanced timepiece will gain or lose only one second over a 20 million-year period. It is that accurate! Super Light Titanium has two big advantages over steel. One is corrosion resistance and the other is that titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal, which means that titanium is approximately 45% lighter than steel. But every other titanium watch that we can find is priced at over £400, and none of them are nearly as accurate as our atomic movement. Stauer has decided to bring these resources together in a timepiece that has the most accurate movement available today. You’ll neverhave to set this watch. Just push one of the buttons and you are synchronized with the atomic clock in Cumbria, UK, and the hands of the watch move to the exact time position. The sleek black textured dial has luminous hands and markers plus the timepiece is water resistant to 3 ATM. A Titanium-clad offer. This Titanium Atomic Watch exceeds the accuracy of any Swiss luxury automatic so you can be more punc-tual and keep most of your money in your wallet, not on your wrist. Look at your watch and we guarantee that the time is incorrect, unless you are wearing the advanced atomic technology. The Stauer Titanium Atomic Watch is not available in stores and it comes with our 30 day money-back guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with the accuracy, simply return the watch for a refund of the full purchase price.

Back in 1921, America experienced the first radio broadcast of a baseball game. Valentino wooed audi-ences as “The Sheik” on the big screen. A scruffy scientist named Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics. And if you slipped into a speakeasy, it’s likely you slapped a Morgan Silver Dollar onto the bar to pay for that forbidden nip of whiskey. One of the most widely desired of all U.S. coins, the Morgan Silver Dollar has become a legend. It’s easy to see why—the largest silver currency ever to circulate in the United States, Morgan dollars are 90% silver. Now, the master watchmakers at Stauer have combined this beloved coin with a legendary Swiss movement to create a remarkable timepiece. The Morgan Silver Dollar Watch features a genuine Morgan silver dollar as its face, set inside a coin-edged case. Master engraver George Morgan’s radiant profile of Lady Liberty provides a striking backdrop for the blued, Breguet style hands. Etched Roman numerals along the edge of the dial and a sapphire crown add the final elegant touches. The Morgan Watch fastens with a brown, crocodile-grain leather strap and gold-finished buckle. Don’t miss this chance to secure your own limited-edition masterpiece! Wrist Sizes: 6 ¼”–8 ¾”

The room smelled like history. Pipe smoke and old leather. Snifters of scotch and a smouldering fireplace. All mixed with a faint must from centuries of damp London days. I remember breathing it in and thinking, this is how it smells in heaven. I found myself in the library. Its walls were crowded with horned trophies that stared back with black eyes. Grand cabinets full of artifices stood like shrines to decades of adventure. Faded photographs. Tribal masks. Ceremonial swords. But still, in that room of odd and fantastic objects, wouldn’t you know it was the clocks that caught my eye. Each told the time in some remote part of the world. One in particular caught my eye. “That’s the Quartermain clock,” my host said. “It tells the time in Northern Zimbabwe.” You can set the Stauer Quartermain Watch for whatever time zone your next adventure finds you in. Inspired by that historic clock face, our watch boasts vintage details framed in a handsome, brushed rose gold-finished case. Consider it your unof-ficial membership card for the historic, members-only club. In its heyday, the club was a haven for Britain’s great adventurers, a place where they could reunite to tell wild stories and compare scars. Today it stands as a museum of unapologetic manhood. And I’m big enough to admit that I wanted to stay there forever. I can’t, of course, but at least every time I glance at this watch, I have something in common with the toughest men alive.

The one thing that the British have always done well is watchmaking. They were the undisputed masters of craft-ing time for centuries and lost their title only after refusing to change the way they worked. While Switzerland and America embraced the machine age, the British preferred slow and steady. By hand. One watch at a time. And that stubbornness paid off. Finely-crafted British watches are irresistible to serious collectors. That’s why I love nothing more than exploring the tiny watch shops of London. I never know what I’ll find or when. The Stauer Kensington is based on a black-dialled beauty I spotted in the crowded display case of a vintage watch shop on Kensington High Street. I was running late for a flight home, so my decision came quick. The shop owner couldn’t remember exactly where it came from, but it was clear that the watch had been someone’s faithful companion. It had the scuffs and scratches of a world traveller. I felt the face that striking wasn’t for retirement just yet. I brought it along for one more hop across the Atlantic, so that it could have a second chance...on your wrist!Stauer designers have recreated the original watch’s bold dark face and oversized numerals and added a trio of complications including a day, date and 24-hour dial. The dial is protected by a stainless steel case and a sturdy disc of Cotswold™ Crystal. The Kensington features an extra wide stainless steel bracelet that secures with an integrated butterflyclasp. Inside, this watch keeps impeccable time with a precision quartz movement and is water-resistantto 3 ATMs.

Once upon a time, the vast gold deposits of northern Europe were little more than a myth. Even the bright-est minds of the Greek Empire didn’t know where the gold came from or how it was produced. All they knew for sure was that one-eyed mountain people stole it from the Griffins, fierce beasts with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Creative, but not even close.

In the 5th century BC, Herodotus wrote, “The most outlying lands…are likely to have those things which we think are the finest and the rarest.” At least he was right about something. There’s no mystery about where we found the precious gold for this Alta Gold Ingot Watch. You can read for yourself that the stunning centrepiece of this unique watch comes straight from thelegendary “outlying lands” of the snow-covered Swiss Alps. The Alta Gold Ingot Watch boasts a 1-gram ingot of 99.99% pure gold, issued by the world-famous Credit Suisse. Each features a unique serial number and sits at the centre of a radiant, 14K rose gold-finished dial. The stainless-steel case is fused with rose gold and a rectangle of sturdy Cotswold™ Crystal protects the elegantly minimalist design. Butthe Ingot Watch is more than just a pretty face. Inside, you get the luxury of legendary precision with a Swiss Ronda quartz movement. The Alta secures with a genuine leather band and is water-resistant to 3 ATM. Wrist Sizes:6 1/2”–8 1/2”.

I love classic watches. They are finely tuned miniature mechanical marvels that are both beautiful and functional. But many Swiss models cost more than my new car. So we decided to replicate the movement of a magnificent £26,000 Swiss automatic watch, but sell it to you for a fraction of the cost. You end up with thousands in change... enough to buy a brand new car.

Is their watch really worth £26,000? We don’t believe that any watch is. That’s the point. So how did we build such a fine machine for such a low price? We saved you a fortune by moving production across the border and out of Switzerland. We hired Swiss-trained engineers to manage the production. We even purchased Swiss calibrators to ensure accuracy. But we avoided the high taxes and high marketing costs in Switzerland.

We built this brilliant timepiece with a 6-hand movement. The Stauer Rose Gold-Finished Monaco displays the date and day of the week. A third interior dial displays 24-hour military time. The exquisite automatic movement is powered by your body’s motion so it never needs batteries. The interior workings have over 185 parts assembled by hand. Twenty-seven rubies act to minimize the friction on the gears and rotors so the movement maintains incredible accuracy. Every single watch is timed for 15 days before it leaves the factory. You can tell the quality by the smooth sweeping motion of the second hand. For the first time in watchmaking history. You’ve never seen a watch this refined on the market at this low a price. You deal directly with the manufacturer so we pass the savings on to you. And the Monaco comes with the added luxury of keeping your money in your wallet, not on your wrist. Automatic, Case: gold fused, ATM: 5, Wrist size inches up to 8½”.
