What would you build?Imagine that you build a monument to represent something that you feel strongly about. Create a blueprint and picture of

your monument and describe what it symbolizes.

Younger children know very little about The

Statue of Liberty. Create a timeline of events to teach them about the history of the Statue and include pictures.

What is it like coming to America?

Pretend that you are an immigrant and the Statue

of Liberty was the first thing they saw when coming to America .

Create a concrete poem that illustrates what you felt as you entered the

New York Harbor approaching new found

freedom.
