Skymapper
A two metre telescope (to be located at Siding Spring) with a very wide field of view: seven square degrees.
The focal plane to be paved with 50 orthogonal transfer CCDs.
Can map the whole southern sky down to B~23 in a week.

Interim Plans.
The 40” Telescope, and its wide field imager (WFI) is being automated.
As this occurs, it will increasingly become a survey instrument.
