The Swan was designed by Arne Jacobsen together with the Egg in 1958 for the Royal

Hotel in Copenhagen. The Swan is ideal for lounge, waiting and meeting areas as well

as the home.

ARNE JACOBSEN 1902 - 1971

Our cooperation with Arne Jacobsen dates back to 1934,but it was in 1952 the break-through came with the Ant

chair. It was succeeded by the 3107 series in 1955. This

propelled his and Fritz Hansens names into furniture history.

Arne Jacobsen was and is an admired and outstanding

designer. While the significance of Arne Jacobsens buildings

was less appreciated, his furniture and other design

work have become national and international heritage.

DESIGN

FINISH

The shell is polyurethane foam with glass fibre reinforcement. The

seat carrier consists of a spindle of diameter 28 mm automate steel

and an assembly plate of 5 mm steel sheet. The individual parts are

welded and surface treated with matt zinc. The base consists of a

satin chromed, swivel centre part of welded steel tubing (diameter

38x2 mm) and a 4-star base in injection moulded aluminium. The leg

ferrules are in black-grey synthetic material.

UPHOLSTERY

The Swan is upholstered with cold cured foam and covered with

fabric or leather. Standard fabric for the Swan includes Kvadrat

Hallingdal, Tonus, Divina and Topas as well as Comfort or leather.

The leather includes Classic leather (5 colours); Natural leather

(1 colour); Elegance (3 colours) and White or Optical White leather

(2 colours).

GUARANTEE

A five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects in standard

products (materials and workmanship). Wear, tear and damage tothe product is not covered under this warranty. Claims from end users

under the guarantee must be submitted to the vendor from whom the

product was purchased. All measurements are indicative.
