The dolphins

The students of our school have used several kinds of material to represent the symbol of our town. Even our younger students participated with pretty original ideas! Everybody showed a great interest for the theme and worked with enthusiasm! Let’s have a look at the classroom activities and the inspired works of our little artists on the coat of arms of our town, the dolphins.

A΄ grade • two wooden frames made of pulses

and painted with water colours• magnets with a cork base and

pictures the students made on top

B΄ grade • book reading• bookmark

C΄ grade

• bibliographic research• construction with goffret, canson and

coloured paper  

E΄ grade• mosaics with painting• clay creations• paper pulp works• town visits (spotting the coat of arms,

crests et.c.) • city map drawn in an artistic way• map with the countries of the programme 

F΄ grade• bibliographic research in the school library• visit to the Archaeological Museum of

Rethymno • workshop with Mr. Markos Liodakis, one of

the donors that sponsored the sculpture of the coat of arms of Rethymno “ The dolphins complex”

art) • laminated paintings with crayons or

markers to use as place mats• clay creations and monotypes with wax
