Grace and peace, Dear friends, Greetings from Annual Conference! This morning I am at OCU in Oklahoma City with our lay delegate, Shana Dry. This week we will hear reports from all of our conference ministries. We have already experi- enced a wonderful Memorial Day worship service where Rev. James Graham we honored all of the ministers in Oklahoma who have gone on to glory during the past year. We heard a great sermon about living in God’s grace last night. It is truly a joy to be able to re-connect with old friends, make new friends, and be reminded of the importance of our connectional ministries in the conference. It is in this context that I give thanks to you, the people of First United Methodist Church in Tahlequah. I am reminded of all the ways in which you have been in mission to our community, the state, and even the world as we participate in apportionment giving and general conference missions. I am proud that we have one of eight missionaries from Oklahoma coming out of OUR congregation. The Rev. Kristen Brown has done valuable work in the Holy land as she has sought to connect a diverse people with the mission of Christ in the world. I am excited that she will be with us next Sunday to preach to us. I hope you will all come and join us during the Sunday School hour and bring a breakfast snack and visit with Kristen. Rockets Over Rhema leave@2:00 Summer may not have arrived officially but TUMY has accepted it and are running with it. We are so very grateful for the support that is given to us as a youth group. We events going on all summer and without your continued support we could not do them. Camp registration forms are due IMMEDIATELY! If you have not turned yours in please stop by the office and fill one out. All in-coming 7th grade to graduated seniors are invited to attend. The cost is $240, we are very blessed that our church pays for half of this tuition. Call the church office if you want to go to camp. Our last Fundraiser luncheon and dessert auction is scheduled June 14th right after the 10:40 ser-vice, mark your calendars now. We are in need of snack sup-pers for Wednesday evenings.
