THE TECUMSEH SONG

Above Winnipesaukee’s wooded shores,Lulled by soft lapping waves,

Bold Indian Chiefs in days of yoreRoamed with their painted braves.

But now there comes another race,Tanned by the sun and strong.

Proudly we takeThe Red man’s place.

Tecumseh to thee we belong.

Tecumseh, TecumsehYour days to us are dear.

Tecumseh, Tecumseh,Our hearts shall show no fear.

We’re strong on water and on landOur hearts are brave and free.United we shall always stand,

Tecumseh’s sons are we!

OWED TO PEMI

There’s an old traditioncalled camp competition

that Tecumseh and Pemi have known. And both have a visionthat the final decision

will make the Hat their own.

It would be a sinif Pemi should win,

and it rarely happens that way.But when the games are done

and Tecumseh has won,it will have been a rewarding day.

It’s really a shame,to lose the game,

but sportsmanship’s the true test. For when you give it all you got,

you may lose the whole lotand take pride in doing your best.

Yes, there’s an old traditioncalled camp competition

that Tecumseh and Pemi have known. And somehow this season

there's a special reasonwhy the Hat should remain our own.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY

PROSPECTIVE CAMPERS?Many Tecumseh alumni ask “How can I still help Tecumseh?” By far, the greatest way that you can help Tecum-seh is to recommend prospective campers. Many current and past Tecumseh campers found out about Tecumsehthrough alumni.

If you know of a potential camper for Tecumseh, please contact Camp Director Jim Talbot by e-mail at:[email protected] or write him at 1906 Johnson Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Please includethe prospective camper’s name, address, age, phone number and e-mail address so that Jim can get in touch withthe family.

Remember that many years ago, someone got your family in touch with Tecumseh. Please repay that favor by get-ting someone else in touch with Tecumseh.

PROPOSED CAMP TECUMSEH

INDOOR PAVILLION

As we launch into the future at Camp Tecumseh new facilities with a specific need are a priority. One such need isan indoor facility to enable us to be fully operational in the rainy season. This is especially important in the shorter3.5 week sessions that we now offer at camp. It is another example of the progress we are making to both moveCamp Tecumseh into the future while maintaining our hallowed tradition and history.

FROM THE 2010 REUNION

ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

Mr. Fraser and Mr. Glascott,

Over the last seven months we have had the pleasure to reflect on your many contributions to Camp Tecumseh. Asthe organizing committee, we have spoken to hundreds of former campers, counselors, and friends of Camp Te-cumseh. So many of them have a specific story of you and the influence you have had on them as friends, as ath-letes, and as young men.

We have believed from the beginning that this would be a great celebration of the fabric that makes Camp Tecum-seh what it is…a place that makes good boys better. The two of you will always be the lasting symbols of thatmission.

We wish you and your families the very best!! We are very glad to have served on this committee for such an ap-propriate celebration of two of Camp Tecumseh’s living legends!!!

Thank you for over 120 years of combined service!!!
