Moscow confirms its success .
The third Mode Lingerie and swim Moscow opened last Feb 23rd with a very strong
attendance on the very first day, despite the holiday “Defender of the Fatherland”
on the opening day. Numerous visitors walked the aisle of hall 24 of Expocenter,
meeting the 110 brands that were exhibiting, 22% more than in February 2015.
Business was also on the agenda of buyers, as orders were noted, after the
standstill of the past few months. They showed real interest in the collections,
selecting new ranges for the next season.
Exhibitors were quite enthusiastic about this regained interest and business
commitment, hoping for a new momentum in sales.

Mode Lingerie&Swim Moscow in February 2016 was attended by 2,990 visitors. The total
number of visitors grew by more than 40% compared to February 2015, and by more than
10% compared to September 2015. This increase concerns first of all buyers from Russia,
Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The change in ratios of visitors from several regions
should be noted.
Although Moscow and the Moscow Region
remain as before leaders in visitor turnout (53% of
all the visitors with a growth of 24% by September
2015), in February 2016 the second place was
confidently held by the Southern Federal District
(10% of the total number of visitors and a 95.5%
increase), exceeding by far the Central Federal
District in number of buyers. The number of buyers
from the Central Federal District and the Volga
Federal District decreased by 25%. We should
mention an increase of more than 45% in visitors
from Crimea, the Northwestern Federal District, and
the Russian Far East. The increase in representatives
from stores and wholesale firms from Siberia, the
Urals and northern regions was around 20%.

This was the first time I attended an exhibition like this one, but I
would like to share my impressions. I vividly remember the
Grand Défilé, and I was glad to be able to attend the seminars
so I could learn a lot of new things. Thank you for the dinner
with the exhibition organizers and representatives of other
cities, which allowed us to socialize in an informal situation. Next
time I would like to look at new items again and trade
experiences.

warm welcome to every visitor, attentively

Swim Moscow for the first time as special guests.
The VIP dinner on February 24 on the Radisson yacht under
Moscow's evening lights made an unforgettable impression on
the guests as well as the organizers. This was a wonderful

The insider view of the Lingerie and Beauty conference
Today we can observe new trends in business: on line shopping, points of sale being turned into
places for recreation, and lastly cooperation between several branches of industry, especially fashion
and cosmetics.
Following the trends, Eurovet and the French Lingerie held a conference on "Lingerie and beauty”:
two segments in a single boutique".
During this conference the crossover phenomenon was revealed, and methods and advice about
introducing cosmetics into lingerie boutiques were provided: niche cosmetics, perfumes, aromas and
candles for the home.
During interviews conducted before the Exhibition itself of store owners from Italy, France, Ukraine,
Russia, and also of top managers of lingerie manufacturing companies, ideas and advice about
introducing complementary sales into stores were presented.
Swimwear stores, for example, can attract attention and increase sales by adding an assortment not
only of sunglasses and hats, but also of suntan creams.
The owner of a store in Krasnodar shared the secrets of her success with the Dita von Teese brand
cosmetics line.
Lastly, the most popular type of complementary purchases is
aromas and scented candles for the home. The owner of the
EDION brand shared his experience with boutiques about niche
perfumes that can be used in different commercial ways:
for accessories and aromas for home use, perfume for clothing
and lingerie, among many other uses.

showcase”, at the heart of the hall, and the Grand Defile “Vintage Carrousel”, powered by
Lingerie magazine, carried a full house audience in the world of poetic performance and
enchantment.
