The Totem Times December 6, 2016 Critic’s Corner Hello everybody! Mr.Anonymous here to tell you about a really good book series called Wings of Fire. This book series is incredible for anyone who likes dragons, kingdoms, prophecies, ect. I haven't read much of the series which currently has ten books. They look awesome and are really cool when you read them. I would probably rate this one book 4.5 stars because there are some boring parts that are basically walking around or sitting but there are some really good parts with battling, fighting, and death. Also guys you should start putting names in those boxes so you can then write a little patch of a random things that you want to write about. I am very sorry that I didn't announce it last Monday, but the winning name is Tailyne Case. The Sports

by Rick Rodgers The major college bowl and cup games happened over the Thanksgiving weekend so let's look at some of the major games: Washington University dominates Washington State in the Apple Cup 45 to 17. Ohio State pull a close win in second overtime against Michigan 30 to 27. Kentucky defeats Louisville in an amazing upset 41 to 38.

NFL Week 12 The Browns continue their losing streak, losing to the Giants in another sad loss 13 to 27. The Seahawks lose to the 6-5 Buccaneers in a surprising lose adding to the Bucs win streak 5 to 14. My personal game of the week with the record match up which made an amazing win as the Chiefs upset winning against the Broncos in overtime 30 to 27. ***What happened to my poor ponies? If only we could have gone into OT using sudden death rules…noooooo! :’( <sniff, sniff> BUT, they redeemed themselves against the Jaguars the following Sunday. **(Personal commentary by Ms. King added regarding the Broncos loss and more recent win)

What Do You Know About Cats? By Ricky Boy

Hey, Ricky Boy here. I’m back with

another article for the fun facts section. Today’s article will be about cats, so let’s get to it. I have had experience with these types of cats.

Did you know that some cats can have thumbs!!! You might not believe me but that’s what this article is for, for you to learn cool things. This condition is a rare genetic mutation called Polydactyl which happens to cats (and also humans) giving them extra digits and giving them thumbs and extra claw’s.

Polydactyl cats are very rare to find, also not all Polydactyl cats like scratching things because they have a extra claw in between the extra digit and the original paw. Just for the sake of the article I’ll stop here and you guys can leave comments of what I should put in the article next time.

RELATIONSHIPS 101 Dear B.,

I’m in trouble. I’m starting to have feelings for my BFF. I can’t stop daydreaming about him when we’re apart and when we’re together I get the warm fuzzies and can’t stop giggling. Should I say something or will it ruin our friendship?

Signed, Worried in Washington Dear Worried,

Hello, you have said you liked your best friend. What I would suggest, is that you get to know him as long as you can. Once you guys are amazingly best friends, tell him/her. If they don’t accept your feelings, still be their friend. If they do accept your feelings, yay for you! Cliche much! I hope you enjoyed this!

(Cont. from page 3.) Dear Dogchickbook,

I really understand your problem. It happens to me, too. My tip to stay more focused is to take notes. That is very helpful, and act like you're taking a test right after. That can maybe make you more focused ,and spot on. Eat a healthy breakfast, and sleep early like a routine. Don’t stay up late watching movies or YoTube. I do that a lot when I have to go to bed. Also, ask to move to the front. I know maybe you're sitting next to a friend, but that’s what is distracting you. Having good posture. Most important ignoring distractions, that doesn’t involve the answer or question. It’s better to talk at lunch or even your passing period. I hope these help you be less distracted. Your truly, Flowercookieyum
