Based on Adam Hamilton’s book, The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life.

What happens when we don’t stay in physical shape? Our bodies may get stiff, we’re not as energetic, or able to meet our potential, and we may even become depressed.

The spiritual life is also about getting fit. It’s a walk that also requires discipline and steady commitment to growth in Christ. In this series, we’ll explore a model, a guide for Christian discipleship built around five essential practices that we follow both collectively and individually:

worship, study, serve, give, and share.

‘Diaper Drive,’ led by 4th graders, collects 13,000 diapers for those in need!

A record breaking number of diapers and money were collected in February thanks to the leadership of our amazing 4th graders and all of our very generous and precious children and families!

In total 13,000 diapers will now be

given to families and babies in need at the Central Arkansas Diaper Bank – a PHUMC ministry that serves 30 to 50 families every month. The friendly competition between the boys and girls also brought in $954.

Special thanks to the Diaper Bank team-Erin Newbolt, Allyson Gattin, Nan Black, Jennie Stewart! And a big thanks to the 4th graders and devoted teachers Allison and Stephen Hester and Derek Schaffer! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!
