The end of the racing
season - a great time was
had by all. Thanks to the
CGTOAD and the
NCGTOA members for
sharing in a fun year.
We came in 17th for 5-
Man team points (out of
27), and 7th in total team
points. Not a bad year,
but there is always next
year to improve!

Winter is slowly coming, and it is time to start
thinking about putting the cars away. As we do this, we
reflect about how much fun we had this year with the cars
like entering the cars in a show, or whatever else you like to
do with your car.
After the cars are put away and we watch the snow
start to fly, the ghost and goblins will be coming out for a
Halloween Party at Jay and Mary's house. Please see the
flyer on page 11 for more details. There will also be a
personal invite arriving at your door soon.
At the November meeting we will be having
nominations of officers for 2012. Please think about running
for an office, and come to the November meeting ready to
volunteer. Your club needs you and your idea's to keep the
club viable, strong and fun.
Nationals Update:
Our next committee meeting will be October 15th
10:00am at the Embassy Suites. Every Club member is
invited to attend, and after the meetings there will a
walkthrough of the hotel and The Ranch. If you cannot make
it to the meeting, please come for the tour and check out the
awesome facility the 2012 National Convention will be at.

with one new member, Bill Hagan,
Welcome Bill!

they were approved as read.
TREASURER’S REPORT:

we still have money in the account.
OLD BUSINESS:
The September 9th and 23rd Club
Clash races were discussed. Our
Club hosted a barbeque on the 23rd.
The GTO's of Colorado finished 7th
in overall team points, and 17th in 5-
Man points.
The Scavenger Hunt was discussed
by members that attended. It was
stressed that more member
participation is needed.

GTOAA 2012 Nationals report:
October 15th - Nationals
Committee meeting at the Embassy
Suites at 10am. Meet in the lobby.
John and Bill talked about the quilt
we will be auctioning off at the
Nationals. There has been $190
donated so far, and we need $350
total to cover the cost to have it
made. Please think about donating
towards this cause.
John Lawrence with the CGTOAD
designed a business card for all
members of both Clubs to carry
around, and distribute at will. The
card was highly received, and all
members though it was an excellent
idea. John will be bringing several
cards to the Committee Meeting on
the 15th, and we will get more
made as well, to send across the
nation.
The Club voted to pay $95 to the
NSRA out of the 2012 account for
a sponsor in their schedule. This
will be a business card size ad, and
we will use the design John
Lawrence came up with.
Jim Wangers is booked! The
BUSINESS MEETING MINUTES
contract is signed, and he will be
here in 2012.
Bandimere is still waiting for the
NHRA schedule to come out,
and this will determine what our
fate is with racing there for the
Nationals.
We are waiting on the contract to
be resolved with the GTOAA
Board, and when it is, we will go
live with the registrations. Aaron
Gibbs, the man who developed
the software, is ready and
waiting in the wings.
It was voted to sell beer glasses
at the Nationals, just without the
beer. Neither The Ranch or the
Embassy Suites are willing to
lower their beer prices, and the
remaining tab would be too high
for a sponsor to pick up.
We are well on track for the
number of room nights we need
to book with the Embassy Suites.
Prices need to be nailed down at
the next committee meeting
regarding ALL activities, so we
can get the registrations all
online.
Meeting adjourned at 8:31pm.
There was no 50/50 pot
NEXT BUSINESS
MEETING: The next Business Meeting will
be held November 3rd at
Johnson's Corner on I-25. Come
early for dinner at 6:00pm, the
meeting will start at 7:00pm.

Well, another racing season has come to and end. Maybe that is good
thing, as I can't afford to replace any more broken parts (and if I do, Mary will kill me). Bad luck aside; I think the GTO's of Colorado had a good year.
We didn't place as high as last year, but I do believe we had a few more
racers join the mix. It always nice to see different faces bringing out their cars
to have a go down the track. I truly enjoy hanging out with members of our club, as well as members of the CGTOAD. We have a great group of no-
GTO owners that race with as well, and I would like to thank them too. We
have a fairly large group of Tuners that race with us, and they are a good group of young kids that just want to race. Nothing wrong with that! We also
have several other brands of muscle cars racing on our team. We have
MOPARS, Fords, and some other GM's as well. It just goes to show, that no matter what your ride is, we all enjoy good racing and good company. See
you all next season!
The last Scavenger Hunt was an absolute blast! Matt put together a fantastic list of items to get pictures of. They were all very interactive, and
required a lot of ingenuity. You can see by the pictures in this issue that both
teams came up with a different interpretation of the listed item, and that is what makes this game so darn fun. We laughed our heads off as we went
through the pictures after we got back. The pictures shown in this newsletter
are just a glimpse of what was actually taken. This brings me to my next
thought. Why the heck aren't more members participating in this event? Those of us, who have been participating, know that this may very well be
the premier event of the year. It is an absolute ball. What can be more fun
than driving around in your GTO, having a team of Club members in the car jumping in and out of the cars snapping photos of who knows what, watching
the general public gawk at the cars while wondering "are those guys off their
rockers"?? For those of you that join in the fun, please tell other members what the excitement is all about. For those of you have never participated,
you really need to make the next Scavenger Hunt. Once you do, you will
never want to stop.
JACK AND THELMA'S ANNUAL WHITE ELEPHANT PARTY:
Where: Jack and Thelma George's residence, 816 E 1ST St, Loveland, CO 80537
When: October 30, 2010, starting at 4:00pm
This event is an absolute blast. The evening starts out with everyone eating a pot luck
dinner, supplied by all guests, so remember to please bring a dish to share (and you
drink of choice). Then Thelma always has a couple of fun games that everyone
participates in. Then the White Elephant gift exchange begins. Every person in
attendance needs to bring some sort of gift. The gift can be anything from a purchased item (for a nominal cost), to something you found in the corner of the
basement. The gifts usually change hands three or four times, so plan your strategy
carefully! Then everyone moves outside to enjoy a great big bonfire, so bring some
firewood for the fire. This is an event you don't want to miss, so mark your
calendars!
