Following is information for all those that have been asking. The Germanfest runs from Sunday June 8th through Saturday June 16th. The tent will be open on Wednesday June 13th thru Saturday June 16th. The work schedule for our club is as follows: Wednesday we open at 10:30 until 2pm.Since the Police/Firefighter Credit Union covers the 14 food and 8 pop workers every year we do not need those filled on Wed., we need 8-beer workers,2 wine workers,4-ticket sellers and 3- gate workers, Thursday our shift works from 4:45 until 9pm,we need 14 kitchen, 5- pop, 20-beer, 3-wine, 4-ticket, and 9-gate,Friday our shift works from 1:45 until5pm, we need 8-food,5-pop,8- beer,2-wine,3-ticket,and 4-gate, and Saturday we have everyone’s favorite shift, from 8:45 until 1am, we will need 8-food,8-pop,30-beer,5-tickets and 10-gate. Here is some additional informa- tion. All bar workers must have a license to serve, the Germanfest will buy your license if you do not have one, I will put out the apps at this month’s General Meeting, and all apps MUST be re- turned to the Germanfest Committee at their May 5th meeting at Turners. It takes a month for the ABC to process them. You will be allowed to have beer while your serving; but do not give any away. If you are caught you may be asked to leave and Diann or I can’t help you. If you work the gate we collect no fee the first shift; but you will need to put an arm band on those that want to drink and cut them off when they leave, you collect $2 from 2 until 5 and also put on and take off arm bands, after five you collect $5 and do the same, there will be police at the gate all day check- ing ID. We don’t care if you have a beer pitcher on the table by the gate, some times will be slow, you will need a gate captain to take money to the ticket trailer and get change, ticket workers also can have beer if you don’t spill it on the customers when you are giving then tickets, All food and pop workers must were a head covering and apron, all ladies will be given a Turner apron and covering, all men can have either the red apron or a generic white, bring your own ball cap or we have some from the past, if you are not serving you also may have a beer, remember you do not cook; but just serve, I have a crew that gets the food from the trailer, heats it up and moves it to your serving line, all worker will be given $10 in tickets for each shift you work, you may sit at the back kitchen table when your shift is over or go out into the crowd. I wish everyone could park inside the gate; but since we have 177 volunteers working each day that would be hard with only fifty spots. Last year those that kept there parking receipt was given a drink ticket from the club, maybe they will do the same this year. It appears that the sign-up sheets will go up by first of April along with the brat cookers sign-up since they were knocked off the wall last year, however if you want a certain shift you can call Diann at715-2579 and she will put your name on the sheet. If you have any other questions you can call me at 637-3566. We thank you for helping with our biggest money maker. Ed Keller & Diann Williams-GF Committee.

On behalf of Fort Wayne Turners, the Board of Directors sincerely apologizes to Tim and Amy Longardner for the un-just accusations of the past year and a half. In Tim’s position as Bar Trustee since June, 2010, Tim was accused of tak-ing money from the bar and a complaint was filed with the Prosecuting Attorney’s office. Tim was removed from hisposition in October, 2012. The new Board, elected in June, 2013, felt that a second opinion was necessary. They ac-quired the assistance (at no cost to the club) of an accountant familiar with our P.O.S. (Point of Sale) system. Aftermonths of comparing reports from the system to actual bank deposits, she made the following statement:“After thoroughly reviewing the POS reports, the various spreadsheets, the bank accounts and interviewing differentindividuals and consulting with the accountant, I cannot see where there is any evidence to support misappropriation ofthe bar funds.”Her findings and all the reports along with a letter from the Accountant that represents Fort Wayne Turners were sent tothe Prosecutor’s office to be reviewed along with the report previously submitted and his findings were:“Based on the new reports you, on behalf of the Fort Wayne Turners Board, provided me on October 23, 2013, I findthat the evidence does not support, beyond a reasonable doubt, the conclusion that Tim Longardner misappropriated anyFort Wayne Turners’ funds.”“Therefore, I am declining the prosecution of Tim Longardner on the allegations previously made against him and I amclosing the Prosecutor’s Office file on this matter.”We cannot undo the past, we can only move forward to build Fort Wayne Turners into the club on which it wasfounded, a loving family club. No apology can undo the pain and stress that Tim and Amy have endured. We can onlyhope they and all of us at Turners, can find it in our hearts to move forward to building a stronger club.

FROM MARGARET STEPHENS & THE 2013 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
