Weber approached the project as he does every commission,

considering both the space and curb appeal top priorities. One of

the biggest challenges, he says, was lot size: “We maxed out every

inch of the buildable setbacks as well as the spatial perception.”

He also kept in mind the owners’ desire for a home that would

welcome guests, intelligently combining casual elegance and

space for entertaining. Indoor and outdoor areas flow seamlessly,

with many rooms overlooking the swimming pool. “It lends itself to

a great atmosphere,” says Weber.

To execute Weber’s design, the homeowner hired Naples-based

Foresite Homes to build a home with exceptional attention to de-

tail. For example, Weber wanted to make sure the kitchen backdrop

would be very symmetrical and that the vaulted ceiling, fixed glass,

and cabinetry would all come together to maintain that symmetry.

Weber is especially proud of the way the home’s front elevation

turned out. “The contractor did a great job executing the detail,” he

says. “We get many compliments on it.”

Weber’s intricate design details were further enhanced by interior

designer Jan Wallace. Wallace highlighted Weber’s carved ceilings

and walls with curated art and lighting to reflect the essential ele-

ments and let the structure shine. “All the ceiling designs were done

to enhance the coastal feel for each room,” says Weber. Crisp white

walls and furnishings against dark wood floors in the living spaces

create a modern aesthetic.

From the dramatic two-story foyer to the vaulted cupola on the lanai,

each room is imbued with its own distinct character, says Weber. The

delightful result is a home that bespeaks modern Caribbean charm. v
