Supernatural horror-thriller

I would probably watch this film since it has a storyline which isn’t entirely common, but still engaging.

Preview rating, Establishing shot of her house, pan of main character, eye level. Close up shot to show her reaction to the noise, close up of baby monitor helps the audience understand she has children, over the shoulder shot increases tension as we see what she sees. Close up as her child hits her, shocks the viewer and increases confusion. Close up of her child’s face is uncomfortable to watch and makes the viewer pay attention to every word he says. Reaction shot of main character, shows her shock, high angle shot means she is intimidated. Fast cuts to a similar shot of another child, with the letters of “Rogue pictures” flicking past. Slight zoom into the establishing shot of the city. Ariel shot of main character running, giving the viewer a sense of voyeurism. The snow will remind us of the shot of the scary boy. Stedicam mid shot as the main character runs. Mid shot of her showering, perhaps the long string of shots of only her helps the viewer establish her as the main character. and having the main character in shadow implies she will gain a bit of hope/revelation in that building as it is a source of light in the darkness. On the other hand the way the darkness engulfs one side of the building could mean the building will bring doubt and insecurity. Extreme close up of her eye, lets us see her discolouration. The use of a small torch throws shadows on her eyelashes which is quite unnerving, while at the same time demonstrating the doctor’s point of view examining her. Shot reverse shot over their shoulders shows who’s speaking and the main character’s reactions. Fade to black to indicate change of scene. Wide angle mid-shot shows her in a city environment with many people around and sunshine, as she looks to the side there’s an eyeline match to the long shot of the scary boy, in the shadow with no people around, looking slightly translucent to halp the viewer understand he is a ghost and since he is looking straight at her/the camera we understand that he is haunting her. Eye level close up of main character’s reaction. Wide angle mid shot shows the viewer her boyfriend. Another fade to black to indicate change of scene. Shot reverse shot over the shoulders of her and her father help us follow the conversation and see emotions. Fade to black indicates change of scene. Dark reds and yellows and natural lighting of her grandmother’s room implies comfort, reassurance and answers for the main character. Over the shoulder shot shows the

picture she is looking at, making the audience more curious. Crane shot shows the viewer all the graves, with a sense of voyeurism as we watch the main character. Pan joins the crane shot with the next long shot of the main character in a damp, dingy room, having objects obscuring the shot gives the viewer a sense of voyeurism again, as if we are watching her from a hiding place. Perhaps reflects her confused thoughts and feeling of not know the truth/not seeing the whole picture in terms of her situation. Close up of her taking a film reel out of a folder. This tells us it is very important even the shot is quick. Extreme close up of her operating the projector (for continuity) with slight blur on one side. Mid shot of the projector, with light shining right into the camera, may give the viewer a sense of clarity and the ‘light’ being
