The Venue FIERA ROMA - which opened in 2006 - is one of the most important
European exhibition venues. It is a remarkable architectural
compound, designed by architect Tommaso Valle. Fiera Roma is a
modern and multifunctional facility featuring a spectacular aerial
walkway covered with a “sail” that stretches over the whole
Exhibition Venue.
Fiera Roma’s event spaces are extremely versatile. They were
designed to host multiple events at the same time, as well as major
events. Fiera Roma offers efficient services, features state-of-the-
art technology and flexibility, which make it the ideal venue for trade
shows, business meetings, national and international conferences.
85.000 square metre event spaces are available, including indoor
exhibition spaces, meeting rooms, offices located throughout the
whole facility, and 40,000 square metres outdoor space. The facility
consists of 9 single-storey pavilions, in three different sizes, with no
internal pillars and easily accessible by commercial and industrial
vehicles. It also features a Conference Centre made up of 13 halls -
whose capacity ranges from 40 to 570 seats - which can
accommodate up to 3,000 people.
The exhibition venue is easily accessible from Rome’s “Leonardo da
Vinci” international airport and is linked to the city of Rome through
highways and railway lines.
Fiera Roma is Rome’s main exhibition venue, which hosts every year
major International trade shows covering areas such as boating,
motorbikes, crafts, beauty and comics, which attract large numbers
of visitors, businesses and exhibitors.
Moreover, it has been selected as a privileged venue for competitive
state exams.
Thanks to its high capacity, it hosted many important international
congresses:
· 2007 20th World Energy Congress
· 2008 70th EAGE Conference & Exhibition
44tth EASD Meeting
· 2009 EuMW 2009 - European Microwave Week 2009
· 2010 EULAR 2010
ESHRE 2010
· 2012 XX FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics
· 2013 ITEC 2013

Sustainability It is also environmentally friendly, and one of the most environmentally sustainable
exhibition venues in Europe.
As a matter of fact, one of the largest thin film photovoltaic plants in Italy and one of the
biggest in the world has been installed on Fiera di Roma’s 38,000 square metre roofs.
This was made possible by an advanced, special PV technology, namely the “THIN
FILM” technology, which is extremely flexible and much lighter than traditional
photovoltaic panels, thus allowing designing a PV plant that is fully integrated in Nuova
Fiera Roma’s innovative architecture.
The aforesaid PV plant will allow reaching and exceeding - even before 2020 - the
20% energy production target from renewables - and cutting CO2 emissions by
1,400,000 kg per year - which accounts for the electricity consumption of 1,000
households.
Furthermore, Fiera Roma features the first renewable energy Italian integrated mobility
system (SEM).
Thanks to this project, the electricity produced by Fiera Roma’s rooftop PV solar
panels flows out to the national grid, meanwhile powering electric car and bicycle
charging stations.
