The Video Conferencing Pilot.An Educational Project

AIM:To raise the profile of Video Conferencing as a tool for teaching and learning and to create a Cornish Pool of expertise that can be used to support and train other schools for the future.OBJECTIVE 1I can plan a transition project between primary and secondary schools using live satellite links and Video Conferencing to enhance teaching and learning and “enjoy and achieve”.Objective 2I understand how to formulate a VC development plan and can justify its use to enhance teaching and learning.

The Plan

Half day planning in schools for Lead teachers in project. Half day trialling activities with sample pupils. Dates to be given to LD by end of 6th June.

6th and 7th June- Whole day planning between partner schools. Subsequent project.

June/September One day- visiting year 7 teachers to year 6/ year 6 teacher to year 7. Dates to LD.

28th November - Review of Project, moderations and Development plans approved.

Can use ideas of active engagement techniques, literacy support, modelling and pupil assessment to enhance SOW.

Can use VC training and guide to assist in training of staff in schools.

To complete Transition SOW that runs from Primary to secondary level and to give dates to LD to include half day planning and trialling with pupils.

28th November is the review date for the SOW and will beheld at the Cpr Learning Space.
