The Scorecard
A Newsletter for the Members of The Jeremy Golf and Country Club
Dear Jeremy Golf & Country Club Members,
Over the past eight months, I have met numerous times with Larry Pozil (JG&CC President), Marc Wilkins (JG&CC GM),
Bobbie Robinson (Canyon Links HOA President), with the intent of devising a plan to build a high-quality facility, described as
the Jeremy Ranch Recreation Center (JRRC). At this time, I would like to personally thank Larry, Marc, Bobbie, as well as
Erik Watts, whose considerable business experience helped us validate the plan, and Paul Panagos, whose enthusiasm
and .excellent ideas helped to get this process started and kept it going. The discussions have all been constructive and positive
as we work toward the common goal of providing a private recreation facility to enhance the lifestyle, appeal, and value of the
Jeremy Ranch community and the Jeremy Club.
Together, we believe we have succeeded in producing a plan that is both cost effective for all and that will meet or exceed the
expectations of both Club and HOA members. We anticipate the formation of a Master Association, which would combine the
resources of the Jeremy Ranch Owners Association (JROA), the Canyon Links HOA and one additional neighboring HOA in
Jeremy Ranch. The Master Association would then form a new independent legal entity with the Jeremy Club to finance, build
and operate the facility on the property currently owned by Canyon Links, which is adjacent to the Jeremy Club parking lot.
As currently planned, the Jeremy Ranch Recreation Center will encompass a 10,000 sq. ft. clubhouse that will house a fitness
facility, locker rooms, kitchen, snack bar, and a multi-purpose space, as well as tennis courts, an outdoor pool, hot tub and grass
covered event area, and play space for children.
In order for this plan to move forward, two-thirds of JROA members in each Plat must vote to approve an increase in their HOA
dues in order to provide funding for the new facility. We have held a series of twelve informational meetings at the homes of
volunteers to ensure that all of our members have the opportunity to understand the details of the proposal and to ask questions
and express concerns to enable them to place an informed vote. An informational meeting was also held at the Jeremy Club on
September 18th for all JROA members who have been unable to attend previous meetings. An additional member comment
meeting will be held on October 24th at 6:30 at the Club and more informational meetings will be held as needed. Ballots will
be distributed and votes collected through the end of 2012 or until such time that one-third negative or two-thirds positive votes
have been received from each Plat, whichever occurs first. Once the votes have been tallied by our voting committee, we will
inform our members and the proposed partners, including the Club, as to whether or not the JRRC plan can proceed.
I believe the JRRC represents a great opportunity, even after consideration of the apparent risks, for all of the potential partners.
I will be presenting this plan to all of our members in the coming weeks and will receive feedback through their participation in
meetings, input on a facility questionnaires and, finally, through their votes. If the Jeremy Ranch Owners Association votes to
proceed with this plan, I look forward to working with your management and representatives from the other HOA partners to
build and manage a facility that will provide the best possible Jeremy Ranch community experience for all members.
Sincerely,
Barry Hanover, HOA President
Jeremy Ranch Owners Association

Many people think
that yoga is just
stretching. But
while stretching is
certainly involved,
yoga is really
about creating
balance in the
body through
developing both
strength and
flexibility. This is
done through the
performance of
poses or postures,
each of which has
specific physical
benefits.

The golf season is drawing to a close here at The Jeremy and the leaves are changing. Fall always seems to
sneak up on you when you are in the mountains and this year has been no different. Memorable moments
abounded this season and I am sure next year will hold many more.
It is that time of year again where we will be selling all of our demo clubs, rental clubs and stock clubs at
blowout prices. That also means if you have any demo clubs that are currently in your bag please return
them as soon as possible. Any demo clubs that have been checked out this season need to be returned by
October 20th or they will be charged to your account.
We appreciate the great participation in this year’s club events and look forward to an exciting 2013. Play
on the simulator will begin Thursday, January 10th and the fun golf experiences will continue thru the
winter months. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience at The Jeremy
more enjoyable.
See you on the first tee.

From the Food & Beverage Committee
5 easy to remember, easy to explain, and easy to budget reasons why a clubs food and
beverage operation doesn’t run like a commercial restaurant.
1. Clubs have a limited user base
2. The user base is sophisticated and demanding
3. Members want better value than they find elsewhere
4. High cost/limited benefit services are expected
5. Quality requires a creative kitchen
