1. PRECIPITATION EVAPORATION CONDENSATION TRANSPIRATION CONDENSATION 2. Click here for the Discussion 3. The water cycle is a continuous cycle where water evaporates, travels into the air and becomes part of a cloud, falls down to earth as precipitation, and then evaporates again. This repeats again and again in a never- ending cycle. Water keeps moving and changing from a solid to a liquid to a gas, over and over again. 4. Evaporation Evaporation Fun Facts about Evaporation: Water that evaporates from Earths oceans, lakes, rivers, and moist soil rises up into the atmosphere. 5. Transpiration Transpiratio n The process of evaporation from plants is called transpiration. (In other words, its like plants sweating.) 6. Condensation Condensation Fun Facts about Condensation: A water rises higher in the atmosphere, and it starts to cool and become a liquid again. When a large amount of water vapor condenses, it results in the formation of clouds. 7. Precipitation Fun Facts about Precipitation: When the water in the clouds gets too heavy, the water falls back to the earth. This is called precipitation. 8. When rain falls on the land, some of the water is absorbed into the ground forming pockets of water called groundwater. Most groundwater eventually returns to the ocean. Other precipitation runs directly into streams or rivers is called Runoff. 9. when water falls back to earth, it may go in the oceans, lakes and river. It may end up on land, plants and animals or it may use to drink or it may collect in the oceans, lakes, river and stream where the cycle start all over again. Collection 10.
