life is often a crosstoo heavy to bearyet it is not heavierthan the cross You borefor my countless sins

Lord forgive me my sins that made Your cross so heavyso that it may in turnlighten my cross

Lord give me the strengthto cope whenever i fall

let me recall how You fellwith Your heavy cross

so that i may gain the strengthto rise once more to serve You

a sword of sorrowpierced a mother's heart

seeing her beloved Son mangleda Son who could not refuse her

when she pleaded for more wine for wedding guests

she is our bridge to Jesuswe discover Him thru her

He cannot refuse to help usif we ask His mother

she is the beacon on His path that we traverse

Lord in the many times i fellas You did in calvaryYou were always there beside meYou were offering a helping handbut in my numbness and confusion i failed to see You if i did i would have easily risenand never lost hope

in my darkness You are the Lightin my despair You are my Hope

how many timesdid i miss the opportunityto help people nakedwhen my garments were so manyhow often did i turn a blind eyein my indifferencepreoccupied with myselfmy own survival

Lord teach me to serve Youto teach and not to count the costto fight and not to heed woundsto toil and not to seek for restfor Your greater glory

I make you sickso you can seek My healing

to quench the parched earthand bring salvation to all

how can i thank You Lordfor dying that i may live

except by living my life for Yousuffering for Your brethrens

tears of sorrowshall become tears of joywounds of painshall become wounds of glory

i mourn Your passing Lordbut i celebrate Your returnYour death has washed awayour endless sins

to You be glory and honor

it is darkest just before dawnthe dawn of Your resurrectionthe blinding light of Your glory

it is calmest just before a storm the storm of Your comingsweeping across the earth

they destroyed the templebut in three days it was rebuiltLight encompassed the darkness

You have saved Man from his sinsfrom east to west, north to southacross all generations thru time
