The 7th Annual Judith E. Voelkl Memorial Recreational Therapy Workshop is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2020. Clemson’s Recreational Therapy Club and Program host this Workshop. JEV 7: Breaking the Mold! JEV (Judith E. Voelkl): Breaking the Mold is a theme we believe encourages both students and professionals to rejuvenate their excitement for and approach to practice. Driven by the results from American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA)’s Delphi and Competencies study, we aim for this year’s workshop to feature diverse presentations with a special emphasis on evidence-based practice and topics such as (but not limited to): Trauma informed care within Recreational Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation Generating practice-based evidence Standardized assessments used in behavioral health, long term health, and physical rehabilitation Inclusive programming Activity analysis Theory-based practice Adventure therapy, outdoor experiences, and use of nature Peer leadership for patients/clients Adaptive sports Please consider submitting a presentation proposal individually or with colleagues. SESSION DESCRIPTIONLimit 150 words – the typing space to the right will not expand further than 150 words. Please provide descriptive of content as related to NCTRC job analysis. If your proposal is accepted, this will be inserted into the program to describe your session.

SPEAKER QUALIFICATIONSAttach Vitae/resume in MS Word and PDF with proposal form.

Include information on current position and qualifications to present topic(s) listed in 2-page vitae/resume.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS Please indicate whether the session will be lecture, discussion, interactive, panel, etc.

LEARNING OUTCOMES Please state learning outcomes for each session in measurable terms. Example: Participants will be able to verbally identify at least three critical issues facing healthcare.
