Melany Whitney has a passion for helping people look and feel their best. For more than a decade, she has been among the nation’s leading-edge beauty experts specializing in the art and science of permanent makeup. Melany is Board Certified in the application of permanent cosmetics as well as scar camouflage and areola repigmentation.

“I want to boost people’s self esteem and help them achieve their natural magnificence,” Melany says. And with her keen eye and cosmetic artistry, she’s doing exactly that. She has transformed the lives of countless clients: men and women with active lifestyles, people who suffer from makeup allergies, poor vision, hair loss, scars and burns, all while earning kudos from medical professionals in the process.

Melany’s life has straddled the beauty and art worlds. After graduating from Cornell University’s School of Art and Architecture and working as a professional artist, she continued her career in fashion/cosmetics. She was professionally trained at the Fifth Avenue studios of Estee Lauder and Revlon and succeeded as an illustrious New York City model, actress, and professional makeup artist.

With an eye for detail, skill as an artist and a deeply held belief that women and men don’t have to resign themselves to living with less than perfect physical features, Melany undertook extensive paramedical training and acquired clinical certification in permanent cosmetics. She is fully licensed and accredited in her field in Florida, New York and New Jersey and has developed advanced techniques in micropigmentation.

Melany’s reputation as one of the nation’s most accomplished and artistic practitioners has led to professional associations with prominent plastic surgeons, including physicians at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell University, NYC. Will I Look Artificially Tattooed?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Although this is cosmetic tattooing, Melany’s artistry guarantees soft and natural results. The Center uses only the finest cosmetic pigments, customized just for you. NO “tattoo blue/grey” brows or eyeliner; NO stenciled-look eyebrows; NO misplaced eyeliner way above the lash line; and, NO dark purple lip lines! When Melany implants pigment within the skin, permanent cosmetics appears more “natural” than any topically applied cosmetic.

Will it hurt?Melany takes every precaution necessary to make the Micropigmentation experience as pleasant as possible. A wide range of the newest (medical professional use only) topical anesthetics are utilized. A full medical block is given for all lip procedures.

How long is the recovery time?You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed! Most clients can walk right out the door, ready to show their beautiful new face to whomever they see.

Will it fade?The body’s skin changes over time, and so will any coloration. However, the process takes years to fade. Maintenance applications may be desired to keep color fresh.

How long will the procedure take?A mere hour or two can make you beautiful for years to come.

When will I see the final result?A noticeable difference will be readily apparent immediately following the procedure. The final result will be visible after the healing process is fully complete, usually in a week.
