Established in 2005 by Mike Robinson and Oliver Shute, The Wild Fork is an Event Bar & Kitchen based in rural West Berkshire.

We create fully bespoke events that go above and beyond expectations in locations across the United Kingdom, from treasured Grade 1 listed buildings to historic castles, garden marquee weddings, boardrooms, shoot lodges and pop-up festival restaurants.

Our chefs are talented, artistic individuals, only using the finest quality produce and the most trusted suppliers for their dishes.

With energy and passion, our dedicated event planners provide style and confidence at the highest level.

Our experienced waiting staff are sleek and smooth and beautifully dressed.

Introduction.

Director and Co-Founder Oliver Shute has a background in restaurants and private dining in the Scottish Highlands, London and The Alps. He set up The Wild Fork in 2005 as a small team of 2! He oversees the smooth running of the whole operation, directing over 200 events a year.

Director and Co-Founder Mike Robinson is arguably the UK’s most highly regarded game chef. Mike bought his first pub The Pot Kiln in 2005 and in 2009, he opened The Harwood Arms in Fulham with Brett Graham (of 2 Michelin starred restaurant The Ledbury). The Harwood attained a Michelin star in 2010 and has held it ever since. With a side career in television, Mike is also the author of 3 cookery books and is opening 3 new restaurants in 2019. His deer management company controls over 40,000 acres, supplying The Wild Fork with a sustainable quantity of amazing venison.

Managing Director of The Wild Fork West, Michael Holloway heads up our presence in the West Country. Michael began cooking in his neighbourhood bistro Market in London’s Camden Town. From there, The National Gallery and The

Royal Academy before running kitchens for Boston Tea Party, the sustainable café group and events for acclaimed food group, Peyton & Byrne.

Executive Chef Anthony Pitcher is highly experienced in Michelin and AA Fine Dining with 9 years worth of expertise in British, Italian, Classical, Modernist and Fine Dining kitchens. He is a creative soul and his food is magnificent.

Events Manager Jasmine Ebdon-Taylor brings the passion and enthusiasm to every event and wedding, with a keen eye for detail and the latest trends in the event industry. She’s our chief Instagram controller and staff whip.

Events Co-ordinator Victoria Shute assists with the day to day running of our busy business, with her exacting style and high expectations rubbing off on everything we do. She’s also our talented modern calligrapher, creating bespoke table menus, bar signs and place cards for our events.

At The Grange, a festival dedicated to world class opera in the heart of Hampshire, The Wild Fork delivered an exquisite 3 course dining experience in the faded grandeur of the historic house for up to 200 guests a night during the 19 night season in both 2017 and 2018.

Located by the iconic start line, The Waterfront Enclosure is the place to be to wine and dine at the world famous sporting event. With our eye-catching stretch tent hosting up to 200 guests a day, we offer guests an all-day inclusive package to include brunch, a 4 course lunch across banqueting tables, traditional afternoon tea and a complimentary Pimms, Champagne and British Cocktail bar. The Wild Fork brings quintessential country style and atmosphere to the perfect summer’s day out, ideal for entertaining work colleagues or for gathering friends and family together.

As sole caterer for the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, The Wild Fork provides day-to-day catering for staff, small corporate groups and large charity events for up to 250 guests per day, throughout the year. To date, the RBSS has helped charities raise over £30 million and we are immensely proud to have played a big part in this effort since 2007. Charities we regularly entertain for breakfast, brunch and formal 3 course lunches include The Prince’s Trust, Help for Heroes, Peter Jones Foundation, Water Aid, Mary Hare Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Hedsor House in Taplow, Buckinghamshire is one of the UK’s most extraordinary and spectacular exclusive use wedding venues. Perched high above the River Thames and set in over 100 acres of historic parkland, the Grade II listed house is split over 4 floors and can be a challenging venue for waiting staff. The brides and grooms at Hedsor House expect the highest level of standard and The Wild Fork always delivers an exceptional service.

The Wild Fork is a well-established approved caterer for events at Ufton Court, the exceptional Grade I Tudor Manor House and Tithe Barn near Reading. The venue can accommodate intimate gatherings of 20 people, drink receptions for 200 or weddings for 150 guests. A popular venue for all cultures, we often cater for special dietary requirements such as Halal meat or Kosher foods.

The Long Barn is one of the most majestic and spacious barns in Hampshire, offering breath-taking views from one of the highest points in the South Downs National Park. The oak-framed buildings and flint walls dating back to 1764 have been lovingly restored, creating a large open space and a beautiful blank canvas to create a truly bespoke occasion. The venue welcomes weddings, charity dinners and auctions, family celebrations and birthdays.
