When we tell people that the world will see the dawnof the Golden Age , they find it hard to believe this. Itis because they see that the forces of negativity and

evil are gaining more and more ground and, already, they are sofirmly entrenched, and there seems to be no one so great andmighty on the world-scene who can meet their challenge andcan subdue or end them.

‘People are correct upto this point. But God, who is incorporealand whose work has been incognito, has given us and to hundredsof thousands others a vision of a stage beyond the present oneand therein lies our hope. We wish to share that vision, that truthand that understanding with the mankind at large.

The truth is that the end of evil forces comes when theseforces have reached the highest point, or let us say, the bursting, the explosion or the critical point. Since mankind fails to endthem or to keep them in check, the forces of evil, at the highestpoint, indulge in self-destruction, or they end one another. Theycommit a mass suicide. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR DEARGLOBAL DIVINE FAMILY!

After receivingAvyakt BapDada’sblessings on 30th

November, we are sure eachof God’s very dear and nearones must be feeling veryhappy and elated. TheAvyakt Murli wasinterestingly intriguingespecially when AvyaktBapDada stepped aside andasked Dadi Gulzarji tospeak to the gathering. Some members of thedivine family were unable tounderstand this scene, but itwas so similar to what usedto happen during Sakardays when both Shiv Babaand Brahma Baba wouldspeak the elevated versions.Sakar Baba himselfexplained that the secrets ofGodly wisdom were beingrevealed directly by theSupreme Father, God Shiva, followed subsequently bysharing of experiences

from Brahma Baba’slifetime.

Our dear divine sistersresponsible for BapDada’sprogrammes wiselyfollowed the advice ofDadi Gulzarji’s spinesurgeon that she couldspend about two hoursduring Avyakt BapDada’smeeting on 30 November. As time passes, ourbeloved Dadi Gulzarji willhave more freedom to be‘the most preciousMedium’ for meetings oflonger duration in theensuing months, as planneduntil April 2013. It’s ourfirm belief that BapDadawould always live up to thepromise of meeting withthe divine family until theconclusion of globalspiritual service. Thismeans, until the act ofsharing the divine messageof ‘God’s descent on earth’

reaches all parts of theglobe and is completedsuccessfully.

As we know fromexperiences of Godlystudent life, it has beenBapDada’s endeavoursthrough the Sakar andAvyakt roles to help usbecome like our SupremeParents, that is, completelyknowledgeful (gyani),viceless (nirvikari),virtuous (gunvan) andkarmateet. After all, theentire humanity has toprepare for the returnjourney. This can take placegracefully when humansouls have a very clearunderstanding about one’sown Supreme Abode(Paramdham), which wewill first visit to experiencetotal and deep peace withthe eternal Divine Being, followed by the ushering inof Golden Age on earth

when pure souls startdescending again to takethe reins of the globalempire of heaven. Satyugaor Golden Age is an age ofthe aspiring dreams ofsouls belonging to allreligions. These beliefs ina ‘perfect, secure andprosperous world’ havebeen sustained through therevelations made byrespective FoundingFathers or Prophets ofdifferent religions, whodescended on earth at theirrespective times. Even thehistory of the religionsestablished after thedescent of Abraham bearswitness to these facts.

Many people, across theglobe, have been discussingthe hot topic regarding ‘theend of the MayanCalendar’, which issupposed to reach itsculmination on 21stDecember 2012. An arrayof theories and conceptsare being voiced about theforthcoming transfor-mation. However, based onthe direct revelations of

God, our Supreme Fatherand Mother, this universeis eternal. The sun, themoon, the stars and the fiveelements would continue tofollow their natural cyclicphenomenon. A dramaticchange is to take place inthe world, which wasdescribed famously byShakespeare as ‘theunlimited stage’ wherehuman souls, as per theirrespective religiousdenominations, come toplay their unique roles andthen return back home – to‘the sweet Home ofsilence’, normallyreferred to as the SoulWorld. This happensautomatically when allhuman souls haveaccomplished theirrespective roles, andpassed through the foursymbolic stages: Golden,Silver, Copper and Iron thatsignify the purity levelwithin human souls andnature. Extremity ofviolence, sorrow, corruption and peace-lessness at the end of the

Iron Age activates the‘drawing of the curtain onthe great global DramaStage’ in a very short timewhich mirrors the ‘Curtain-Down’ we see at the end ofShakespearean plays.

It’s an irony of fate thatwe human souls haveforgotten the fact that weare actors havingdescended on the WorldDrama Stage to play ourrespective roles, for alimited period varyingbetween 100 to 5000years. That is the reasonbehind multiplication ofworld population over thecenturies, which actuallystarted with about onemillion divine heroes andheroines who embodied thevirtues of godhood, andcelestial qualities in theirpractical lives.

Luckily, we are passingthrough the mostauspicious opportune timewhen God has descendedon earth, but once, to revealthe knowledge aboutHimself (the Creator), theeternal World Drama (the

Page 4: The world renewal-Dec2012

Creation) and divine secretsbehind everyone’s roles, from the beginning to theend, where knowledge andthe power of KarmaPhilosophy rule supreme. Toenjoy ever-healthy, ever-wealthy and ever-happyvirtuous and blessed livesthroughout the entire kalpaof 5000 years, let’s awakenand recognize:-

the beauty of God’swisdom the power of Rajyoga asrevealed by Him and the secrets of thiseternal World Dramaand thereby regain ouruniversal spiritualinheritance of the lostParadise…

We would like to sharethe essence of the DivineMessage received on 30November 2012 for thespiritual progress of ourreaders:

Value the fortune of thejewels of contentment, andsing the song of the heart:

“I have attained thatwhich I wanted to attain”

“The Supreme Father is

celebrating this meetingseeing the fortune andattainment of every child. In His heart, He is pleasedto see the fortune of everychild. The sparklingfortune is visible on theface of each child. Thelight of attainment issparkling on theforeheads. The treasure ofknowledge is visible in thehands and the Comforterof Hearts is visible in thehearts. Multimillions arevisible in every step of thefeet. Each one’s face issparkling and shining withsuch fortune. All thechildren everywhere arevisible as content. All thesouls who see suchsparkling faces wonderwhat you have received, and what would you reply?‘I have attained that whichI wanted to attain’. All aresparkling in the form ofjewels of contentment. Youare seeing your image inthis way too. Are you not? What song does the Fathersing on seeing the soulswho are jewels of

contentment? Wah! Mycontented souls! Wah!

“There are differentideas, but to unite thoseideas is in your ownhands. The Father wantsto see this wonder in youinstrument souls, that, though you may havedifferent ideas, you willunite them.

“Each of you shouldnow consider yourself tobe an instrument for theunlimited task of worldservice, and not just forthe self. As well as for theself, you are alsoinstruments for service. Now, show such wonders.

“There may be upheavalin the world, but you arethe instruments to bringstability where there isupheaval. They will notleave their work, so youtoo, should consideryourselves to be theinstruments. They createupheaval and you remainunshakeable; both of youhave to play your partstogether.”

Question: Dadi, mostof us do our best tom e d i t a t e . W e

understand there is a greatdeal of benefit and yet manyof us find it difficult tomeditate as many other thingscome in our mind. Can yougive us simple steps to take usinto an experience, so thatour yoga can become easy?

Yoga is not a mantra, or amatter of chanting or doingHatha yoga; but, simply it is tobe a peaceful soul – Om Shanti– with the remembrance ofBaba and the awareness thatwe now have to return Home.By saying ‘Om Shanti’ Babacomes in front and I see that I,the soul, am by myself withBaba and I become lost in theyoga connection, feeling lightand receiving might. Yoga isgoing within. I am a soul. Thoughmy eyes are open, they are notseeing the body or things aroundme. When I think ‘mine’ is theSupreme Soul, I go beyond theawareness of the body andbecome His beloved. It is asimple exercise –just a matter

of letting go of thinking andworrying too much. It is great: Ibelong to Baba with nothing toworry about. Sit, connect andattain from Baba. We aredrawn to wherever there isattainment and with Baba thereis the attainment of purity, peace, love, happiness andpower. With this, there is nospace for unnecessary thinking. Q:Dadi, you talk easily aboutGod and your relationshipwith Him. Yet the majorityof belief systems says, He is‘unknowable’ and ‘beyondcomprehension’. How canwe truly know and have arelationship with Him?

Human beings, whetheryouth, children or elderlypersons, want to learn andknow things – the curiosity isalways there – and the fervourto know God is very good.Someone said today that fortwo decades she had beensearching for God and she feelsnow she has found God and itis possible to meet God. Is itreally that cakewalk to meetGod? The desire within us to

meet God is very pure. Whatdoes the world have to offer? Itis temporary and will not behere tomorrow. Some recentlysaid that God couldn’t be knownand seen with the eyes. Whenwe look within and use the inner‘eye’, we can know Him. Babasays:Be introverted, so then, the‘I’ within, can see – and we loseinterest in the things of theworld. God is very subtle, extremely subtle. When we godeep within, we realise that Godis the Living Seed, the Being ofTruth and that Being of Truthentered the body of Brahma.Brahma had the experience ofHim and we have thisexperience throughBrahma. When we have thedesire to know God, there is thepull towards God. When welisten to the things of God, westart to experience Him.TheSupreme Soul is your Mother,Father, Teacher and Satguru. Q: Being introverted andsubtle are the efforts we aremaking now; but what is Goddoing now, that is different? The world drama has beengoing for years but what isGod doing now that makes ourconnection easier and moreeffective?

We are now witnessing howHe is finding His children. Weall have had an experience ofGod, whether we have beenwith Baba for a day, 5 years or

75 years. To experience this, there has to be a deep lovewithin, to want to experienceGod. Just as human beingsengage themselves in earning anincome and take the opportunityto do so whenever they can. Forus, this time of the ConfluenceAge is very short and, when wereceive God’s introduction, werealise the importance of thistime. We recognise God, Self andTime and therefore, we value allof the three. By knowing God,we have come to realise thevalue of the time of thisConfluence Age. We haverealised too that we are notordinary souls: we are notjailbirds or birds in a cage. I ama bird that can live in the palaceof peace. What is being in jail? One who has to do everythingaccording to what they are toldto do. We are making the worlddo what we want them to do. The way Baba makes us move,is the way we want the world tomove. Q: Is Baba doing anythingpractically to manifest this all?

Has God freed you from thejail that you were in before? The mind and senses are nowunder our control. Before theywere out of control and wewould do what both dictated. Whether defeat or victory, respect or defamation, we arestable. Before the mothers

would cry and the brotherswould make them cry! Themothers and sisters areempowered by Baba and Babateaches the brothers to giveregard. The sisters have learntto stay in self respect andbecome instruments to bringmany others. So many of youare within families! Look at theGodly family here and see howwe are so happy together. Thisis such a lovely life and howeveryone’s life could be. Everyone in the world could beinspired to have this kind of life! Q: There are a huge numberof people practisingmeditation and leading aspiritual life. Yet sometimes, there is the feeling of noprogress, of not movingforward or experiencinghealing? Are we forgetting todo something?

There is laziness, idleness. This is the time tomake good progress, so whyare you sleeping? Come out ofsleep. Baba Himself is with usand, although avyakt, we see,he is giving us so much. Manyhave this experience. Especially at Amrit Vela, Babais constantly present andavailable for the children. Weneed to be determined to let goof the 5 vices of lust, anger, attachment, greed, ego and alsojealousy. The first enemy is lust

and then anger. If we get angryonce and speak in an angrytone, we lose our respect. Sopay attention to your words sothat you speak in a sweet way. Let go of ego and haverealisation. The subtle jealousywith others doesn’t help either. With jealousy, a force developswithin; it brings idleness, asthere is no feeling of attainment. Then come excuses.Attachment also works subtly. Free yourself from jealousybecause, as we perform moregood actions, Baba will bepleased with us. We have alldone good service and so wereceive good blessings. Wehave stayed in Baba’sremembrance and this powerenables us to move forward. Dadi has never stopped doingservice and even in the middleof the night, Dadi would beprepared if necessary. Serviceis through words and actionsand also through the mind. Keep your mind pure andpeaceful so that you can serve. There is such service in keepingthe mind pure and peaceful andat a distance, people will receivegood vibrations from you andyou will receive blessings. Aswe serve really well, we receivepower. Dadi receiveshappiness, not tiredness. Service and remembrance gohand in hand. Those who have

Page 7: The world renewal-Dec2012

9The World Renewal, December 2012

the love and interest in study, will be pulled - the soul will notwant to miss the study. Somefeel that if they die, it must bein Baba’s remembrance and nomatter what happens, they wantto be in the atmosphere/aura ofBaba’s house. Q: We have a programmesoon for the people withcancer. What guidance andsupport would you givesomeone who has a terminaldisease with a short time tolive? What advice would yougive to the close carers of thatperson?

Dadi would not give advicewith words but with Godly love, would convey the feeling thatyou will be OK, so don’t worry. Illness is created through worry. And worried worry and makesus worry even more! Thosewho look after an ill person, alsobecome worried. Althoughsomeone may have notunderstood knowledge, whenwe speak words with love, thatwill comfort their heart and theywill feel peace. Dadi hasnoticed that practically, whenpeople have received Baba’sintroduction, people stillexperience sickness becausethe reason for sickness is ourown karma. Baba cures thereason for the sickness. Peoplefind that Baba enables them tounderstand their sickness and

actions and experience purefeelings and this allows thesickness to go. The pain andsuffering of the sicknessdisappears. We can draw powerfrom Baba and feel much better.Q: What advice would Dadigive us in dealing with theordeals of the coming times:the upheavals, obstacles andpersonal challenges? Manypeople don’t have a deepspiritual philosophy as asafeguard so what advicewould Dadi give to souls ofthe world at the moment?

This is why Baba’s directionis for us to serve. Service hasincreased so much so we canhelp in this way. Through ourcompany or listening, a littlepeople receive something. Through our experience, theirexperience increases. So forBK’s there should be evengreater interest to serve and weshould not be under any of theold influence, of nature, sanskars or other people. Then, the original interest we had forour own progress is stoked.Don’t let this diminish becauseof being sensitive, for then theservice you could do, you arenot able to do. Dadi has aconnection with everyone in theforeign lands and Bharat. Dadidoes not feel hatred for anyone, nor does she feel influenced byanyone because they are very

good. The mind and intellecthas to be free to serve andremember. There is thenremembrance in service andvice versa–both are together sothere is no mixture of one’s owndesire or attachment. This ishow others receive Baba’sintroduction. Do laukik work, because you will serve thoseyou work with. Our life is forBaba and, Baba sees that nowthis child is obedient and followsHis directions accurately. Theexpansion in service happensthrough such instruments. Letpeople have the company ofthose who serve in this way. Letthose you work with, receivebenefit through you. When ourfaces sparkle, this will doservice. Day by day service isgoing to increase.Q: If you were to leave thebody, what is your thought forthe world? If God were toallow you a few moments tospeak to the world now beforeyou leave, what 3 thingswould you say?

This is the first time that Godhas said to me: Don’t leave thebody! One’s stage should beangelic, so that no matter whereanyone is, they will experienceand then see what happensaccording to drama. Therehave been many great souls inrecent history; yet they were notable to do the job of

Page 8: The world renewal-Dec2012

The World Renewal, December 201210

transforming the world or make humanbeings realise what human life could be. SoDadi feels that she is in the body to inspirepeople as to how life can be, how humanbeings can be. Know yourself. This messageis reaching far and wide. People will awakenthrough this message. Death is in front of usand, if we don’t speak so clearly, we need tounderstand what we would do in the face ofdeath. This message has to reach everyonevia the media, so that no one is left withoutthis message. This is the time to transformthe world. As we transform, the world willtransformed. It is not just a message but, anexperience. I am seeing it and everyone elseis too. This deep desire to change, will invokethe power of truth.

If we become get heavy, how can webecome light in that moment? Any thoughtthat brings heaviness will make the voice andthe face heavy and, there will be heavinessin relationship. So become light in a second:the soul is separate from the body; Baba isresponsible; I don’t know how it happens butBaba makes it happen. This experience oflightness makes the impossible becomepossible and, Baba makes it happen. Andthe message for the whole world… myfeeling since I came to Baba is that everyoneshould appreciate and realise what Baba issaying. So Dadi’s thought is for everyone tobecome light, realising that Baba is doing itall, and we have to just remember Him andbe souls, detached from the body. In a second, become light and be prepared to leave thebody.

Someone who wants to become an angel, will feel they are detached from the bodyand also loved by God, and that each one’spart is unique and keep moving along, stayingabove.

Fear is in the mind, they say. In the darknessof the night, even when a branch sways in thewind, someone may feel that somebody’s

there. Our own experiences lay the foundation forfearing something.

I have worked with kids aged less than three years.I love being with them. They are so energetic. Ofcourse, it’s not possible for teachers like me to keeppace with them. But still I try to infuse in myself abit of their energy level.

Teaching little kids does not only mean giving themformal knowledge or ‘educating’ them. Sometimes, you have to deal with them at an emotional leveltoo. There was a case of this little girl. She kept onclimbing the ladder of slide and getting down fromthe same ladder instead of sliding down from theother side. Being a teacher, I constantly observekids playing on ground, as that’s the place whereinjuries can happen. I observed this kid for a whileand realized that she was scared of heights. I wantedher to slide down the way other kids were doing butI knew she would not be able to do that on her own. After a while, when she climbed the ladder again, Iwent close to the slide and told her to hold my handand slide down from the slide. She was hesitant. Iexplained to her that I would not leave her hand tillshe gets down. She held my hand rather tight, but Idid not mind. She came down slowly. She went andclimbed the ladder of the slide again. I held her handagain as she came down. The third time I told her totry coming down without holding my hand but holdingthe edge of the slide. She held the edge and sliddown slowly. The happiness that I saw on her faceon this ‘big’ achievement was worth a million dollars.

Isn’t our relationship with God similar? When weface problems and fearful situations in our life, dowe trust Him unconditionally? Do we let Him holdour hand? Trust is not easy to acquire, more so forus, adults, because our mind is conditioned not totrust anyone easily. I pray to God that He grantsevery one the blessing of unflinching faith in Him,the strength to overcome any obstacle and the joyof achieving ‘big’ things in life.

HARMONY INHARMONY INHARMONY INHARMONY INHARMONY INRELARELARELARELARELATIONSHIPTIONSHIPTIONSHIPTIONSHIPTIONSHIP

Relationship is a veryimportant aspect inhuman life. Human

being is a social being. Hence, one has to interact with fellowhuman beings. We derivehappiness when we meet ourbodily relations, friends, teachers, preceptors, peers andthose who are in the society. Welove others, respect others anddevelop affection with others. We also share our feelings, ourdifficulties, our achievementsand our happiness with others. When we share difficulties andproblems with others, the burdenis reduced. When we share ourhappiness and joys, ourhappiness is increased. Whenwe smile; the world smiles withus. Even though life isindependent, we are alsointerdependent in many areas oflife. We are mutuallycooperating to make life pleasantand beautiful.

In human life, it is said thatwe must have, tan – healthybody, man-healthy mind, dhan– money and Jan – people. When it comes to developingharmonious relationship, there

are many hurdles. People ingeneral are able to somehowmaintain their health, earnmoney for their livelihood andalso create a healthy mind. But,the area of relationship has beenvery tough in changing times.Due to the increase in vices ofselfishness, ego, demands, expectations and attachment inindividuals, related thoughtsovertake other considerationsof elder or younger, parents orchildren, wife or husband, friends or others. Everythinghas come to be measured interms of money, materialconsiderations and other pricetags. It is found that in casewe have the best relationshipwith one and all, our capacityfor earning more money, keeping sound health andmaintaining peaceful mind iseasily ensured. But, since therelationship is generatingdissatisfaction and sorrow, theother important pillars ofwellbeing are upset. We allknow that the institution offamily is supposed to be thesolace and happiness groundfor our growth and

development. Since the inter-human relationship in family isdeteriorating, it is resulting inisolation, stress and depressionleading even to the extent ofsuicides and deranged mindsets. The number of abnormalor subnormal people isincreasing. Some people arefound behaving in peculiarways. It is observed that brokenhomes, divorce rates, old agehomes and destitute children areincreasing. Any amount of thepresent day education orexperiences in life is not able toarrest this tendency of souredrelationships. The reason is veryclear that the universalprinciples and values in life arefast disappearing.

In the circumstances, thefollowing points are sharedwith the esteemed readers forrestoring the best humanrelationship.:

1.‘You are important’ – is asimple slogan to be conveyedwith open heart so that it isfelt in the heart. Everyonedesires to feel a sense ofbelongingness.2. Keep self respect and giverespect to others.3. Convey a word of solace, love, care and share.4. Maintain an attitude ofinstrumentality andconstructiveness.5. Have good wishes andpure feelings for others. This

Trust others and betrustworthy.9. Be honest and sincerewhile interacting and dealingwith others.10. Soft, sweet and lesswords have mesmerizingeffect to draw others towardsus.11. Communicate with otherswith open heart and clarity.12. Understand others’perspective and respond. Letus not look at the scene andbehaviour in front of us. Letus be patient and understandthe situations and people aswhat they really are, insteadof what they appear to be.13. Have sympathy and besensitive to others’ feelings.14. Have concern for others’well being and progress.15. Respect the freedom, rights, choices, preferencesand privileges of others.16. Develop attentive, respectful, creative, sympathetic and patientlistening attitude so thatproper response can be

given. Let us not react; let’sconstructively listen andrespond.17. Develop Brahmin codeof conduct (Balance of loveand law in relationship) andstrictly adhere to srimath inrelationships.18.Develop humility, simplicity, imaginativesympathy and sweetness forbetter relationship.19. Develop a mindset of ‘Weand Us’. This will free usfrom ‘Ego’ and selfishness.20.‘Smile’ wherever andwhenever appropriate to theoccasion.21. Honestly praise others.Appreciate others at theappropriate time. ‘Thankyou’– this powerful responseat the right time smoothensrelationship. Avoid flatteryand false praise.22. Accept criticismsportingly. Criticism is anopinion of others whichshould not be construed asopposition. It should bewelcomed as a feedback forfurther improvement in casethere is substance.Otherwise, it can be ignoredwith good wishes.23. Spare sometime to helpothers and for connectingwith others to improverelationship.24. Let us evince genuine

interest in others’ lives whilegiving attention to avoidobsessive overtures from ourside.25. Understand the script onwhich one is operating andthen do the needful.26. Keep attention on the selfto see that we do not losetemper at any point of time.27. Forgiveness is an act ofgreatness. Hence, forgiveand forget.28. Culture, nurture andfoster good intentionsunmindful of adversity ofcircumstances and people.29. Always look at thegoodness of others and dealwith them accordingly.30. Profess, practise andpromote the universal truth of‘Universal brotherhood underthe fatherhood of One God’.Even though we have listed

the above points for maintainingharmonious relationship, whenan unfavourable situation arises,we may not have the requiredinner strength to uphold thesanctity of harmoniousrelationship. In this context, weall should understand that God,the Supreme is our Father andMother who is a self-effulgentlight and He is the Seed of thishuman genealogical tree. Onthe other hand, we should alsounderstand that we are allbrother souls, points of light,

spiritual energy belonging toOne Father. The mostimportant power that isrequired for maintainingbetter relationship is‘Power of love’. God is theocean of Love. Thisunderstanding reminds us ofthe existence of our Fatheron High Who is Ocean ofLove and when weremember Him as oureternal Father and Mother,Friend and Guide, Teacherand Preceptor we get thepower of Love. As we startmaintaining this relationship, our relationship with thesouls becomes very smooth. We get the power ofrelationship which isessentially the power oflove from the SupremeFather. Since God, theSupreme is the Seed of thistree, when we connect tothe Seed mentally; we arenaturally connectingourselves with all the soulsin the world. We are ableto come in contact withanybody with love, happiness and peace. Thisis the way to restore ouroriginal harmoniousrelationship which does notchange with the change insituations, time or thechange in people.

TRANSFORMATIONTHROUGH RAJYOGA

The meaning of Rajyoga meditation is to become the master ofall our sense organs and our mind and establish anunadulterated connection with the Supreme soul. This process

recharges the soul as we are connecting with the main powerhouse, the Supreme Soul.

In most of the vedic texts and in the Geeta, getting control over themind has been considered as the most difficult task. Even if we mightbe able to get control of the sense organs to some extent, gettingcontrol over the mind is considered to be the most challenging one.Even the acts performed by the sense organs are nothing but amanifestation of the soul’s character, which can also be termed asthe soul’s sanskars. Transformation of the soul’s sanskars or behaviourpatterns lies at the core of getting real mastery over the sense organsand the mind.

In Geeta, the way suggested by God to become a conqueror ofmind, is Manmanaabhav, which means to give our mind to God. Givingour mind to God means to allow in our mind only those thoughts, which are as per God’s divine directions. It means to involve our mindin the task given to us by God, which is to spread pure vibrations inthe world. It also means to absorb our mind and intellect in the thoughtsof the Supreme Soul and in the love of our divine Father. On followingthese directions, the soul starts getting purified. The transformationof sanskars starts happening. Even in practical life, when we spend alot of time with someone, we start picking his or her qualities knowinglyor unknowingly. If we truly love someone, we start becoming like thatperson.

Similarly, through Rajyoga, as we spend more and more time in thecompany of God, we start picking God’s qualities and our intellectbecomes divine. This process takes some effort in the beginning butas we start experiencing the soul’s virtues in meditation, the efforteventually gets reduced and gradually our remembrance becomesmore and more natural. It doesn’t remain a task to be performed sittingin isolation. But we can practise this meditation while carrying out ourdaily activities. It becomes a way of life and our aim of life becomesfulfilled in real sense.

One of the greatestillusions of our centuryis that to have the

space to do what you want todo you need more time. Thisneed not be so. It is not time thatdetermines the speed of ourlives, but we, and the speed ofour thoughts. Ten minutes oftrauma can feel like severalpainful hours, and yet ‘time flies, when you are enjoyingyourself’. Ever thought why?Because it is thoughts that reallytake up space, not actions. Thinkof a time when youprocrastinated about completinga job. When you finally got downto doing it, notice how much lesstime it took than you hadimagined earlier. In fact, wework hard to stay busy so thatwe won’t have to face ourinternal demons or get depressedwith our own company! Amoment of silence and there ispanic. What to do? Whom tocall? Where to go? In fact, assoon as we get in from work,we scurry to turn on the TV orour favourite music, and we callthat ‘quiet time’.

Technology too has had a partin this. Having faster modes of

communication means we areforced to decide and act faster. In the past, it would have takenus a few days or weeks torespond to our love letters andsend our responses by ship. This urgency to respond isbeing thrust upon us now withinminutes or hours via textmessage, email, chat messagesetc. What would happen if youdid not get an ‘I love you’ backthe very next moment you sentit. You would begin to questionyour partner’s integrity! Thevalue of 24 hours is not thesame. And nothing haschanged except the speed ofour life.

Life is not about becoming ahermit either. “Hands that workare better than lips that pray”.In fact, the peace that followsaction is most restful. The quietthat follows, after resolvingsomeone’s unrest is mostrewarding.

There is nothing wrong withbeing busy and active, yet oneneeds to learn to be easy andflexible at the same time. Oneneeds to create a rhythm, notan empty busy-ness withoutany melody. Thoughts, speech

and actions are needed to beorchestrated and synchronized.Life has to have a deepermeaning. So which do you workon first, activity or stillness?Well… what value wouldmusical notes have if it were notfor the silence in between them? How can you fly when there isno ground to return to? Howcould you enjoy the days if itwere not for those nights ofsound sleep?

And what is all the kerfufflefor if we are not experiencingsublime peace and bundles ofhappiness! All the actions shouldhave a meaning and purposebehind it; yes we should enjoythe journey, but the destinationis equally important. So if weare to stay busy, then let it bewith healthy thoughts, otherwise an ‘empty mind is adevil’s workshop’! If I have notplaced thoughts in my mind, then who has – that is a scarythought! Entertain your mindwith pellucid, peaceful, positiveand powerful thoughts.

Between every stimulus anda response, there is a space, aspace in which to choose. Atthat moment, as I choose, Ibecome the Master.

Actually when we practicebeing in a state of soulconsciousness which means tobe more aware of the soul andits qualities and the experienceof the eternity of the soul, then

the world slows down for us.And in mundane or physical

consciousness I limit myself; Icannot see beyond what thesetwo eyes reveal to me. Thereis no internal world to enjoybecause I have not developedit. I feel restricted and bound byphysical limitations, and thatincludes time. Furthermore, Iconvince myself that I am rightto think this way just because

everyone else does. But theinner voice, the consciencespeaks louder.

Practising soul-consciousness for a fewminutes in every couple of hourswill allow you to tune in to thethird dimension of life. Afrequency that will keep youcalm in moments of chaos. Andyou will find yourself using theexpression: ‘There is more than

what meets the eye’.It’s time… to take out time

in between your busy moments, and create a silent space in yourmind. Keeping the mind lightand easy with simple peacefulthoughts, will allow you tosavour the moment andcomplete tasks efficiently. Thenyou will truly come to knowwhat is‘QuietTime’!

GURUAND

GOVIND

There is a famous coupletof Sant Kabir Das jiwhich goes like this:

Guru Govind donon khare, kake laagun paaye

Balihari Guru Aapki, jinGovind diya bataye.

(Kabir ji says that when hefinds both God (Govind) and histeacher (Guru), who introducedhim to Govind, standing togetherbefore him, he cannot decidewhose feet to touch first toexpress his gratitude.)

Kabir Das was the greatestof the great poets. His poetrycan epitomise the deepestthoughts in a single couplet asseen above. His language wasvery simple which even anilliterate person would be able tounderstand. It is very true thatthere is no deliverance withoutknowledge and knowledge ofany kind, particularly spiritualknowledge, cannot be acquiredwithout a guru. Anyone whoteaches us new skills or trainsus to master the alreadyacquired skills, can be termed asa guru. The first ever guruthat one has is the motherwho trains the child to meethis or her basic needs, bothphysical and emotional, until

the child is old enough tobecome self-dependent.The training begins even whenthe child is in the mother’swomb. That is why doctorsrecommend to the would-bemother to avoid wrong food andwaste thoughts or feelings, forensuring healthy growth of theyet-to-born child.

As the child grows up, he issent to school for receivingeducation. In fact, in the oldentimes, the teacher was called aguru and the school, a gurukulwhere the students were giveneducation in three R’s and alsoknowledge of religion andreligious practices. Thestudents, rich or poor, lived withthe guru under his tutelage. The example of Shri Krishanand Sudama is very well knownin the Hindu lore. The girl childin our country is indoctrinated, from the very young age, toregard the man whom shemarries as her guru. Althoughthis is no longer the norm now,yet the wife is even nowexpected to obey and payobeisance to her husband in allcircumstances like the discipledoes for a guru. It is actuallyin the old age that one feels the

need of having a regular guruso that the last days on the earthare spent in peace and inremembrance of the deity heworships, not so much as a markof love for the deity but as a signof fear of death and ofpunishment for past sins.

The other day, I listened to apreacher speaking on a religiousT.V. channel, explaining themeaning of this very couplet ofKabir Ji. He said that Kabir Jiwas laying emphasis in thiscouplet on the need andimportance of a guru in one’slife. He explained that onecannot hope or aspire to meetwith God without the help of aguru. I knew that he wasspeaking of his own guru but,in a way, what he said is quiteright. The mind asks for whatis visible or material. Its needsare deeper and it often requiresphysical means to fathom thetruth and its depths. God isincorporeal; one cannot seeHim or talk to Him as you canto a person in flesh and blood. Therefore, the need of a guruto guide you and show the wayto realisation of God; as guruis essential as a mediumthrough which one could hopeto realise God.

This is, however, true of aguru in the real sense of theword and who is really worthyof our respect, as elucidated byKabir Ji. The true guru doesnot profess as such that he

Page 15: The world renewal-Dec2012

17The World Renewal, December 2012

would arrange your meetingwith God; he is only a partnerwith his disciples in their spiritualjourney to the ultimate. Noguru has so far succeeded inarranging the professed meetingwith God. The guru himself, being a seeker of the truth, willnot be able to arrange thatmeeting. If the gurus were ableto do that, then nobody wouldhave questioned the veryexistence of God and the humanrace would not have been asgodless as it is today. Well, weare all human beings, seekersof the truth; we cannot blameanyone, great or small, for notbeing able to achieve the desiredgoal.

The fact of the matter is thatmany of the gurus have donejust the opposite of what wasrequired of them. Instead ofbringing us nearer to God, notto speak of arranging meetingwith Him, the gurus have takenus far, far away from Him inthat we have become entangledin the name and figure of thegurus—little rememberingGovind or even caring aboutHim— taking Him for granted,to be everywhere and yetnowhere in particular. If therewere any margin for believingin God, that margin has beenwashed away by the wrongknowledge given by gurus thatGod is inside every human beingor, worse still, every humanbeing is God. The result is that

we are so badly caught in theweb of gurudom that we startlooking at the guru as the Godor an incarnation of God. TheGovind has been relegated tothe rearmost seat in the vehicleof our existence.

Some gurus are free withshowering blessings and somedo it for money. In case whensome – not all – of the blessingsclick, the credit is immediatelygrabbed by the guru; his nameand fame go up. In case of anyblessing failing to materialise, the invariable response from theguru is: “It is the will of God”.It is thus the guru’s grace on thecredit side and God’s will on thedebit side.

The question is: Wherecan we find the true guru–theguru who can show us the wayto God and may possiblyarrange our meeting with Him?Is there any such guru in thisage? We find so many gurusthese days; we hear them dailyon the television channels. There are gurus who teach usyoga or physical exercise forachieving Nirvana; othersteach the art of living for a heftyfee. There are gurus of all agesand descriptions – old gurus, young gurus, very young gurus, plain gurus, female gurus, familygurus, jagat gurus and the like.We have even market guruswho advise us how to andwhere to invest our money. Asa matter of fact, anyone with

the gift of the gab and a littleknowledge of humanpsychology can hope to becomea guru. It has become a sortof a calling for many. Though, mostly, the gurus grow richerover a period of time, there arealso some unfortunate ones whoend up in courts or landthemselves in jail.

In such a scenario, it is reallya hard job to find a true guru.Though the gurus have beenthere from centuries together, the man has so far beenunsuccessful in his search ofGod. But being clever andingenious as he is, he has notadmitted defeat. He has founda simple way of dodging thequestion as to where and whoGod is and what He does, byproclaiming that He iseverywhere and in everything, living or non-living.

But there were some souls, though very few, who strived toknow the truth about God, theSupreme Soul. They weresuccessful in reaching up to Himbut in their own individual way. They believed in what they hadexperienced and then wanted toshare it with their fellow men. Those who believed in them andfollowed their principles, gathered around those few soulsand took up the task ofpropagating their teachings andcollecting their sermons anddiscourses at one place, andgave these teachings a formal

Page 16: The world renewal-Dec2012

The World Renewal, December 201218

name after the name of theprincipal teacher.

Thus was laid the foundationof religion – the organisedreligion. It is how variousreligions and belief systemscame into being. They werepure souls —those who startedthe religions or those whoinitially propagated them. In thebeginning, therefore, the newly-founded religions were of thehighest order. With the passageof time, however, the souls, who

later joined the ranks of thebelievers, lost some of theirsheen. After some time, therefore, cracks startedappearing in the religions whichconsequently came to bedivided and sub-divided intogroups or sects, each withseparate head and set offollowers. Many of these sectsmoved away from the principlesand tenets of the religions theybranched from and werereduced to a mere set of

elaborate rituals. Thenfollowed mutual hatred andrivalry among their followers, sometimes leading to holy wars,as to which one was the biggergroup or sect and had a largerfollowing. The factors that hadbeen working all the time infermenting these troubles wereego and greed – greed forpower, wealth and fame – thathad, slowly and gradually, takenhold of the human soul.

(....to be contd.)

A sculpture is a three-dimensional art workcreated by an artisan, a sculptor, byshaping materials, which may be hard like

a wood or stone or soft like clay. God or theSupreme Being also has been remembered asthe Spiritual sculptor. With that consciousness,I, being like a rough living block of wood or stoneor a plain piece of clay, place myself in His safehands. There are three types of faith in thisconsciousness:-

1. The faith in the Sculptor,2. The faith in myself and3. The faith in timeIt’s my first faith, my faith in the Sculptor,

in His vision of His finished work i.e. a perfectand complete ‘me’, which he foresees, waiting to emerge from my present imperfectself, that allows me place myself in His hands. His vision of perfection is so clear that knowingit; I feel I must regain my original condition. Alsowhen I come in front of God, who is a perfectspiritual being, His love and the knowledge Hegives me makes me aware of myself as a spiritualbeing similar to Him. This awareness then remindsme of my original qualities and the spiritual beauty

and perfection hidden inside me, which helps mein having the second faith, i.e., the faith in myself.I am able to trust the Sculptor, knowing that theknocks I receive will chip away at myweaknesses, and restore my truth and beauty.Initially, I may not know myself completelyor have full faith in myself, the second faith, but God, the Sculptor, knows me and has fullfaith in me, all the Sculptor wants me to dois to be still and patient. Being still meanshaving complete faith in Him and myself, and beingpatient means having the third faith – the faith intime. His knowledge and power give me thestrength and courage to be still and patient i.e.strong in all three faiths while He continues Hiswork on me. I should not move or be impatienti.e. not let any of my faiths waiver; otherwise I willnot become perfect. There is a vast differencebetwixt how God sees me, and how I am at thepresent moment. Holding the vision that God hasof me, I have to just surrender my mind to theSpiritual Sculptor and keep myself in His hands. When I do that, the thoughts inside my mindget focused spiritually on Him and as a resultI receive His spiritual energy, which reshapesand transforms me. That which is the highestand the most beautiful in me begins to emergegradually. – From Awakening

According to the secretsrevealed by IncorporealGod Shiva through the

medium of His corporealmedium Prajapita Brahma in thisongoing auspicious ConfluenceAge, processes, as envisaged tooccur or to be carried out inSatyuga and Tretayuga, will beslow, dignified and thoughtful.Deities and populace will live inharmony with themselves, withother souls and with nature.Natural resources will not beused for energy production, asthey need input energy for itsuse. Solar energy will be mainstay of golden and silver ages. This energy is available in itspurest form. It will ensure thatthere is no degradation ofavailable energy or increase ofentropy. Therefore, the aboveprocesses can be termed asisentropic.

Compare this with physicalevents, witnessed by us as soulsin Kaliyuga, in Nature and inbody. The energy of universedecreases due to friction andconverts into thermal energy (i.e.heat).

The entropy of universe

increases. Heat is the basicform of energy. We soulssustain our life wherein glucoseis metabolised into carbondioxide using oxygen from air.In power plant cycle, thermalenergy is rejected in cooler aslow temperature thermalenergy. In total, due to all ofabove activities, the thermalenergy is accumulated inthermodynamic sink, i.e.biosphere. This accumulation isresponsible for increase oftemperature and increase in thesea level.

Our thoughts becomepolluted due to oursustenance on abovemetabolic processes. Thermalenergy as sensible heatappears as attachment.Thermal energy as latentheat appears as jealousy. Inshort, ten vices are variedform of heat.

A conscious effort is made bydeity souls under direction ofGod Shiva and Brahma Baba inauspicious Confluence Age tocreate Golden Age. Each souland nature thus becomescompletely pure. Even the

subject (Praja) and scientistsare pure in Golden age; thesescientists have a pro humanmindset. Frictional forces arecompletely absent. Thetemperature of biosphere is 10to 15 degrees Celsius throughoutthe year. Solar energy issufficient to sustain an initialpopulation of nine lacs. The lifesustaining processes, asenvisaged, are reversible andisentropic. It is a proven fact thatthe production of sound isisentropic. God Shiva, therefore, advises us to talk less, talk sweetand talk thoughtfully. Thischange will not requiredegradation of nature. Naturewill take care of plant and animallife. Only divine intervention byGod Shiva is required to changemagnetic flip.

At the end of Tretayuga, major changes will occur innature due to tamoguni(impure)populace. Scientific progress willbe wiped out and world will fallinto Maya’s hand. This can becalled the end of Brahma’s day;ignorance will be the rule of theday. All knowledge will be writtenin Sanskrit. Various religions willappear. Natural resources willbe exploited for energyproduction and sustenance. Thissituation will remain till a newcycle restarts.

We are witness to the abovediscussed transition as co-creators.

MY EXPERIENCESMY EXPERIENCESMY EXPERIENCESMY EXPERIENCESMY EXPERIENCESWITH MY BWITH MY BWITH MY BWITH MY BWITH MY BABABABABABAAAAA:

I’d like to share here myunique experience with mymost beloved Supreme Soul

God Shiva, i.e. Shiv Baba, whoalways makes me experiencesuper-sensuous joy, filled withHis Godly love. It was way backin the year 1998, when myhusband died in an accident atwee hours, during our visit to thefamous Temple of SHIVA atThiruvannamalai (4 hrs drivefrom chennai city), in TamilNadu. I was also injured in theaccident – my ear drum gotdamaged, right shoulderfractured, and I got injury on theright side of my head and alsoon my legs as I was crushed inbetween the back and frontseat. My husband was sleepingwith his head on the window andsince all of us were asleepincluding my brother-in-law, whowas driving, the car went downthe road deep into a forest andcollided with a tree resulting intothe death of my husband on thespot. The others were alsoseriously injured.

I could not see anything in thedarkness as my head was

bleeding and my eyes got stuckup, but I could feel someonepulling me out from the backas there was no way they couldtake me out. I could not movemy limbs. They were 3 ofthem; I don’t know how theycame to that spot and who theywere. I could only tell them myresidence number as we hadleft our two daughters(Aishwarya–the special girland Subhashini , aged nine andtwo respectively, then) at myin-laws’ place. That’s all I couldremember at that time.

Those three men got meadmitted in the Apollo Hospital,Chennai and informed my in-laws about the accident andthen after 2 days, I came toknow that my husband was nomore and all the rituals weredone. Not even a drop of tearwas shed from my eyes. However, I didn’t know whatwas going on and how I’d beable to bring up my twodaughters. Owing to thetragedy, my life was paralysedboth mentally and physically, asI had fractures and hearing loss

of 70% and had financial lossalso. At that time, I had not gotthe true introduction of God. Itis only now that I understandhow Shiv Baba has turned mygrief-stricken life into a life ofhappiness, by continuouslyhelping me out at every step andin every situation.

I had absolutely no moneywith me at that time, but had aflat in Hyderabad–near mymother’s place – and decidedto go back when my in-lawsheld me responsible for thedeath and told me clearly thatthey’d not help me in any way.I managed to get moneysomehow and we came back toHyderabad in August 1998.

I got both my daughtersadmitted to the schools and gotmy shoulder surgery done andear drum replaced with theinsurance money. At that timeI didn’t know that the doctorwho performed the surgery wasalso Shiv Baba’s child – hecharged me the minimum feeand provided all the medicinesfree of cost. Through the saleproceeds of the flat, my

daughters’ education went onsmoothly.

Then I took up a job inAPTECH and started working, learnt driving and bought atwo-wheeler. While I waslearning driving, I felt as ifsomeone clad in whites washolding me from back andtaking me forward. (Now Iknow that it was BrahmaBaba). But after sometime,DRAMA had something elsein store for me. Aishwarya’sboth the Femur bones gotbroken due to a wrong surgeryconducted on her both legs forTendons Stretching (performedby Dr. Purohit at NIMS–alsoa BK) and due to this, she hadto undergo SURGERY withrods implanted in both thethighs. Even the orthopaedicsurgeon who operated uponher was a BK. All thishappened when I had notbecome Shiv Baba’s child. Then I had to be at home formore than a year and I thoughtwithout wasting my time, Ishould go for further studies. Therefore, I did my MBA (HR)and passed with 1st class, eventhough I had a softwaremanagement degree fromAPTECH, U.K. and a richexperience in R&D prior to mymarriage.

Again, I took up another jobat VISU INTERNATIONAL

as branch Manager and duringthis time, an unknown ladyintroduced me to Godlyknowledge of Brahmakumaris, when she came to my officeone fine Thursday and said thatBaba would help me overcomeall the problems. Thus, I startedgoing to the B.K. centre atPunjagutta, Hyderabad. B.K.Radhika gave me the 7-daycourse but I didn’t understandanything, as my mind waspreoccupied with lot of worries, tensions, fear etc., and runningshort of time. I was just doingmy duties, like a machine, without any interest. I alwaysused to get dreams whereLORD Venkateshwaraappeared, looked at me withhis big eyes and converted meinto a flower of his garland andwould carry me over themountains into the world oflight. I didn’t understand thisat that time.

Then, another major problemcame in my life. On Dec. 16th2005, when I was at the centrefor meditation, Aishwaryastarted getting fits for the 1sttime and since this had nothappened earlier, my motherunknowingly gave her milk andshe aspirated and becameunconscious. She was rushedto the hospital, where doctorssaid that she might not surviveand asked me to donate her

eyes etc., and also informeveryone at home. Next day,my sister-in-law (Husband’ssister),who is now a Dean inMadras Medical College, cameand asked the doctors not toremove the ventilator and lether breathe her last with thatonly. Fortunately, 21 dayspassed and she was stillstruggling to come out of it.Then, on one Thursday theventilator was giving somesignal which meant she mightbe coming out of her criticalcondition. But, when doctorswere cutting the tubes fromthe ventilator - The Power WasOff, Generator Was NotStarting. It was total darknessand I was standing outside ICUand watching all these scenes. There were many doctors, allin white coats and there wascomplete darkness. Then, onedoctor switched on a TORCHand cut the tubes. At that time, all I could visualise was thatShiv Baba’s rays of light werefalling on her and nothing morethan that was visible to me (thisis also real experience seenwith my eyes open). My mindwas totally blank at that time. After sometime, doctors toldme that she had regainedconscious-ness, but her rightside had been paralysed due tobrain damage (CP atrophy),lost her speech and she may

not live for more than 6 monthsand now, it’s going to be 7years, this December.

Then, the Director ofGitanjali School, seeing all myproblems, created a vacancyand offered a job so that I couldtake care of the girls and alsohave holidays along with thechildren, so that I would not bestressed out. She also admittedSubhashini in the school. Tilltoday, I’m continuing to workhappily because I am still ableto use my education, earn andtake care of the girls. Atpresent, giving spiritualknowledge to as many souls aspossible in school about powerof mind through meditation, stress management, timemanagement etc; (Baba’sknowledge, translated in myown words which will be usefulin managing daily activities);without losing an opportunity,as Baba is combined inworking with me. I could feelthis. I also arranged a talk bySister Shivani (arranged bysister B.K. Manju ofMarredpally centre), whohumbly agreed and gave a talk/lecture, to all our teachers (400approx.) in the school.

There are many moreexperiences, where Shiv Babagives me suggestions, does thework for me, leads the way

when I sometimes getconfused due to difficultsituations, guides and supports. What has he not done for me? I am so lucky to have theSupreme World almightyAuthority, by my side. MyMother also attends the Centreevery Thursday and believesthat Baba is the Ultimate. Shedoesn’t understand theknowledge but tells me that thisBaba is Powerful thanSaibaba. So, she keepsremembering him throughoutthe day. My brothers alsoacquire knowledge from me,as their role of going to thecentre has not yet started but,I know that it will come soon.

Subhashini is at present inClass XII (ISC) and isplanning to continue herstudies in Neuro Psychologyand also attends the centre, whenever possible. Sheunderstands and churnsMurli more than me andfollows purity of food anddoesn’t eat anywhere else. Itake Aishwarya to theCentre on my holidays in awheel chair as it is 10minutes walking distanceand she knows that she is asoul and she greets thesisters with OM SHANTI,also listens to Baba’s songsdaily and goes to sleep only

The most serene of allcreations in nature is astone called Marble.

Years of being under intense heatand pressure, the love of holdingonto the earth, despite all thetortuous weathering and theindescribable hurts of a ravaging, tumultuous nature, turns the cakylimestone into one of the mostexclusively beautiful rock ofserenity, the Marble.

When a soul touches Godfirst, its interiors are all cakedup with the mud of impurity, avision which is limited and lichen(moss)-like conditioning whichspreads its vicious tentaclesaround the soul. There are fewwho can withstand the intensepressure or the fight whichensues internally, when placedin proximity to the heat ofpurifying situations, in the life ofa nascent spirituality.

A soul who can face aravaging of this kind, and still beable to stand up with self-respect and accept itself, wartsand all, can be the raw materialfor spiritual serenity.

When God enters our world, from the land of Silence, Herarely has a blueprint to workupon. He deposits within ourcaked minds the seeds, whichcan give birth to a new kind of

Self-respect–that of beingdivine beings. Yet, every day,our vision and attitudes shrivelup like winter-dried leaves andHe starts, once again, to waterus every morning. Day-in andday-out, amongst the deafeningnoises of a hundred influences, which dirty His children, Hestrives to keep His seeds ofSelf-respect intact, watersthem with mercy and love, accompanies them through thesunlight of purifying, regenerating situations, andguards them through the coldnights, weeding out the wasteand unwanted. Everyday, thisSupreme gardener workstirelessly filled with positivityand hopes that each of Hisoffspring, his sapling, will bloomto be a sturdy, young tree.

Yet, the times and weatherof change are relentless. Theyrain down mercilessly on Hisyoung saplings, carry them off, erode and try to kill them. But,never does this tirelessgardener give up. Through thetortuous weather, through allthe storms, He keeps onnurturing and planting tillmany, if not all, of hischildren grow to be sturdy andbuoyant oaks.

This journey of being with

God, holding onto my highestSelf-respect, when the worst ofthe self surfaces and seeing myold self being torn away fromme, is the most painful andravaging of all. What I hold dearand mine, no longer exists for ithas to make way for a new wayof being, a new way of livingand thus pave the way for a newworld. When every humanconsciousness undergoes thiscleansing of impurities from thelimestone of the self andexperiences the searing heat oftransformation, it is the Serenityof God, which gives it power.

To be able to understand, acknowledge and accept theway God works by my side, getting His hands grimy and notminding it one bit, lends mehumility to withstand the heat ofthis self-induced transfor-mation. His gentle presenceteaches me every day to be ascool as rainwater, in everysituation. His calm, cascadingfountains of fortitude andpeace, wash away the strainsof fear I hold. Then one day, ona silent morning, unknown, unseen by human eyes, therecomes into the soul a qualityof reflecting light. Thelimestone turns into anexquisite piece of rock, muchvalued and sought after, forits refined look. Some use itto sculpt their fantasies whilethe most Serene, most cool ofall rocks, many build a

Come November and every afternoon I takemy six year old to the park where sheplays on the swings or in the sand pit and

I sit and watch soaking up my daily dose of vitaminD and catch up with friends over the phone. Theother day I came across a mother-son duo andwhat ensued between them set me thinking--themother in question was thirtyish and her cherubof a son barely four. The mother hovered endlesslyover the child, daubing his hands with sanitizerevery now and then, pulling down anddusting his clothes every time he came down theslide and reprimanding him if he even shoutedloudly. The child seemed harried and uneasy byhis mother’s constant instructing and badgering. She obsessed over him and would not let himtouch mud and as he dreamily looked at mydaughter and her friends make mud cakes,Irealized how the term ‘helicopter parenting’ musthave come into parlance. Simply put, it is a new-fangled term for a paranoid kind of parentingwhere each thought, each action and every iotaof effort of the parent is child-centric.

Modern parents of our generation (read GoogleSearch parents) are more prone to this malady. We seek perfect parenting paradigms from booksand the Internet. Children are not given anyleeway even in little things which are of noconsequence. We want to be perfect parents ofperfect children and often end up acting as

of Serenity have learnt that to stay silent yet alive,to shine a light upon others yet hold in heart ajourney which began in darkness, and to be filledwith a calm and steady love for all tasks, big andsmall as God is, is to be Serene.

wardens. We are so preoccupied with theirhygiene, nutrition and ideal behaviour that we justdon’t let them be. I have often felt intimidated bythe parents of my children’s peers calling me upabout the number of stars that the child got onan assignment or tutorial. Children are then putcontinually under a scanner in a bid to make themsuper-performers. Some parents even go to theextent of choosing their children’s’ friends for them.I personally feel it is healthier to give the childrensome freedom and responsibility so that theydon’t end up as dependent, suffocated andanxious human beings. Let them err and learnfrom their mistakes, let them fall down and get upagain, let them have their share of exposure tobugs and germs so that they develop immunityand don’t end up as germophobes and believeme playing with mud never killed anyone. Let thekids enjoy being loud and boisterous once in awhile. Let them make some decisions – this willmake them confident and do wonders to their self-esteem. Let them learn to organise their thingsand to fight their little battles themselves. Whatis imperative is letting them know that no matterwhat you’re always around and that they canalways bank on you if need be.

If we look at it from spiritual angle, we all arespiritual children of God. Does God interfere in ourday to day working? He has given us independenceto perform actions, keeping in view ourconscientious application of all our intellectualcapabilities. He looks at us as spiritual entitieswith wonderful capabilities, which bloom andsharpen, as we go on playing our part in the eternalworld drama. Let us consider children as individualsouls, full of potential and talent, which will behoned the more we provide them opportunity toperform independently and as per their discretion.Surely parents should observe them and guideappropriately, as and when needed.

VALUE OF TIME

There are very few peoplewho fully understand thevalue of time and energy

and use them creatively. Thosewho do not use their time andenergy wisely have to ultimatelygo through a shortage of both at atime when they are most needed.Time and tide wait for none. Oncetime passed in negativity or inwaste, is forever lost; it nevercomes back. So , let us make thebest use of this most auspicioustime of Confluence Age orSangam Yug according toShrimat of God so that we don’thave to repent later. It is sensibleto keep on realizing the value oftime and energy beforehand anduse them in the best possible wayso that they are spent usefully. One should utilize every secondand make the best use of it. Weshould not fall a prey to lazinessand become weak in living our life.

Time is our precious treasure, the loss which cannot be made up.Every second counts in buildingthe life of a human being. Enjoyingevery second of our journey of lifeis that which really matters. Thosewho are endowed with life gettime, but the way one uses thesevaluable assets counts a lot to him/her and to the world also.

Usually, most of us do not have

a definite purpose in our mind.We do not know what to dowhen time and energy areavailable to us. In thesesituations, we usually complainthat we are bored and do notknow what to do. Life should belived with a purpose and notwithout it.

The Incorporeal GodShiva(lovingly called ShivBaba) has said that the periodof Confluence Age is the mostvaluable period in the whole ofKalpa. We should value everysecond of this life, Baba has said,“One second of Confluence Ageis equivalent to one year ofGolden Age”. So, in this valuableperiod, we should lead our lifewith awareness and utilize everysecond. We should pay attentionand give value to this spiritualbirth at the Confluence Age andreally show Baba through our life“Worth Diamonds”.

Baba has said, “The time iscoming to an end; it is only nowthat your image of the previousKalpa is to be revealed. You haveto shoulder the responsibility inorder to transform variety ofproblems”. The mountain of theIron Age will be removed anyway, but only if we spiritualaspirants give a hand of love to

solve various problems of theworld. We should maintainconstant intoxication and shouldnot ourselves become a problemnor cause problems to others.

The long journey of life shouldbe passed in happiness and bliss. Many side scenes have to becrossed through, but we shouldnever get disheartened orbecome weary. The journeyshould inspire and energize othersand also motivate them to live andfeel encouraged by our presence.Whatever we want to do, weshould do now as the presentmoment is most invaluable “Nowor Never”. Tomorrow may bringproblems with it; so every secondshould be lived with full vitality. We should not stop in our journeyor live in past, but always enjoythe present life given by God.

We should ask ourselves,“How can we use our time andenergy in the best possible wayin the present situation.”

There is a better way to liverather than complain, “I am boredand have nothing worthwhile todo now. I have no time to dothese important jobs”—thosewho live with such a persistentnegative attitude are always sad, sorry and bitter.

Our perception and responseto anything is in our own hands. We are creators of our owndestiny. We should make the rightchoices at right time and use ourenergy at right time to accomplishthe task.

Bowlers (Maya) AndBatsmen Who Play TheGame With 16,108 BatsI’ve learnt that the most

important aspect to life is howmuch time you spend at thecrease hitting runs (doing good)for your side (family). Somespend only minutes, others hours, whilst the careful and skilful canspend days scoring for theirteam. They do not waste theirtime and take the opportunity toscore runs. They concentrate, dedicate themselves and aredisciplined, keep their aim clearlyfocused and fixed in their mind.

They keep their eye on the balland always do their best and give100%. Don’t Be Out For A DuckIf you are not batting with

God, the reality is, you are noton God’s side and if a bowlerbowling at God, trying to get Himout. God and His team aresurrounded by poison andfalsehood on this cricket field oflife, yet are still trying to wakethose bowlers up to truth and forthem to experience the benefitsof playing the game as it shouldbe played. Ask yourself: Are you the car(body) or the driver (soul) insidethe car? Are you on God’s sideand a good batter? Or are youone of the endless bowlers andfielders on the side of this worldand its mess? If only the peopleof the world knew that to try andbowl God out and His team, isreally to try and take out whatlittle happiness they have in theirown lives and destroy all truth inthemselves. ScoreIn this spiritual cricket match,

that you now find yourself inwith very dangerous balls flyingat you from all directions, everything will depend on youkeeping a cool head and ofcourse, your partner doing thesame. Your partnership at thecrease (life today) and howmany runs you score, will dependon you both understanding eachother, trusting and working foreach other.

In this case, for the children ofGod, their partner is God, so theyneed to be asking themselvesevery day the same question: AmI worthy to bat with God? A goodindication is how many runs haveyou managed so far to put on thescoreboard between you. Howmany each day do you score? Ifyou score well, then you are mostlikely very worthy to be battingwith God on the field of play. Yetshould you score only a few runsand get out all too easily, thenchances are, you are not thatworthy, true, strong or dedicatedto be in partnership with God, forif you were, you would be scoringmany runs. In today’s fast life, sometimeswe forget to sit back, relaxand think…

WHAT IS LIFE. . .! What amI doing with it??? Why am Ihere??? Who got me here .??We’re so busy and lost in thehustle and bustle that we don’tknow where we are heading ourpurpose of life to. However, thepurpose of one’s life depends onperson to person but before all ofthis do we know what life is. .??

There have been manytheories and thinking, books andbeliefs, debates and discussionson it. But, let’s think of it simply. With today’s condition, round theworld with falling economies, exploding population, increasinginflation and deterioratingcharacters; our definition of lifehas become cruel. So, life is arace, or a struggle, sometimescompetition, game and gamble. But is it truly so? Most of thepeople now tend to relate theirlife with those terms. It hasbecome our deep-rootedmindset. But we need to realisethat, when this is the way wedefine it then, that is how it willturn out to be!

Let’s try and think ofsomething beautiful, relevant,

different and soothing. Couldwe call life to be anopportunity? Yes, it is! It is anopportunity to prove, to learn,to understand, to live, to loveand so on. Life itself is anopportunity, yet we keepwaiting for an opportunity in ourlives for the right time to knockat our doors. We have onewhole life to justify this givenopportunity.

We’re all fond of Gifts.Excitement, happiness, love, assumption are some of thefeelings and emotions attachedto it. Isn’t life a gift? A giftfrom God to enjoy , to have fun,to celebrate and to share! A giftbecause we don’t know whatis there in store for us! We openit gently to see what has beenwrapped for us.

Life can also be called aschool, a place to learn, makefriends, give exams, gettingpromoted to higher standard. With each passing standard,we grow.It is a journey too, onwhich we move in differentdirections sometimes and, thus, don’t have the idea where togo, face bad weather and evenmeet people who misguide us.

Can there be such a journey

in which neither the traveller isaware of his own self, nor ofhis destination, nor does he knowabout the true guide? In fact, the destination can be knownonly when one is accompaniedby, true guide. It must be notedhere that this is the end ofKaliyuga, i.e., Iron Age; this isthe time when Incorporeal GodShiva, who is our true Father,Teacher and Preceptor as wellas Liberator and Guide, teachesus the knowledge of EasyRajyoga. This small epoch in theentire kalpa of 5000 years iscalled Auspicious ConfluenceAge. Hebestows on us the knowledgeof beginning, middle and end ofthe World Cycle and advises usto realize ourselves as souls andremember Him continuously sothat our misdeeds of past birthsas well this birth are burnt andwe become viceless and pureand complete with all virtues, which He is the ocean of.Remembering our most belovedGod Father Shiva in such a wayis our true journey, which is alsocalled Yaad Ki Yatra or Pilgrim

One stormy night many years ago, anelderly man and his wife entered thelobby of a small hotel in Philadelphia.

Trying to get out of the rain, the couple approachedthe front desk hoping to get some shelter for thenight.

“Could you possibly give us a room here?” thehusband asked. The clerk, a friendly man with awinning smile, looked at the couple and explainedthat there were three conventions in town.

“All of our rooms are taken,” the clerk said.“But, I can’t send a nice couple like you out intothe rain at one o’clock in the morning. Would youperhaps be willing to sleep in my room? It’s notexactly a suite, but it will be good enough to makeyou folks comfortable for the night.”

When the couple declined, the young manpressed on. “Don’t worry about me; I’ll make outjust fine,” the clerk told them. So the coupleagreed.

As he paid his bill the next morning, the elderlyman said to the clerk, “You are the kind of managerwho should be the boss of the best hotel in theUnited States. Maybe someday I’ll build one foryou.”

The clerk looked at them and smiled. The threeof them had a good laugh.

As they drove away, the elderly couple agreedthat the helpful clerk was indeed exceptional, as

Shanti Dham and is the abode of our SupremeFather God Shiva, i.e., Shiva Baba too. So, let’sunderstand the journey of life and make sincereefforts to become viceless and virtuous. ; it isnow or never!

Life isn’t about finding yourself butcreating yourself. . . . .

finding people who are both friendly and helpfulisn’t easy.

Two years passed. The clerk had almostforgotten the incident when he received a letterfrom the old man. It recalled that stormy nightand enclosed a round-trip ticket to New York, asking the young man to pay them a visit.

The old man met him in New York, and ledhim to the corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. He then pointed to a great new building there, apalace of reddish stone, with turrets andwatchtowers thrusting up to the sky.

“That,” said the older man, “is the hotel I havejust built for you to manage.”

“You must be joking,” the young man said.“I can assure you, I am not,” said the older

man, a sly smile playing around his mouth. The older man’s name was William Waldorf

Astor, and the magnificent structure was theoriginal Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

The young clerk who became its first managerwas George C. Boldt. This young clerk neverforesaw the turn of events that would lead him tobecome the manager of one of the world’s mostglamorous hotels.

We are not to turn our backs on thosewho are in need, for we might beentertaining angels. Life is more accuratelymeasured by the lives you touch than thethings you acquire…

Any change – positive ornegative, begins in themind. If the mind does

not agree, actions do not happen. It is said that using the power ofthoughts, one can createimmense changes in theenvironment around. If one’scurses can come true, so canone’s good wishes. It all dependson the sincerity of the thought.

In one of her speeches, SisterB.K. Shivani pointed out that thethoughts made by one person arereflected outside. She gave anexample of an Indian meeting anAmerican. If the Indian thinksin his mind “I am an Indian”, theAmerican meets him with a viewthat he is an American (and viceversa). If one goes with thethought in mind that one is aman/woman, the same thoughtwaves occur in the mind of theother person. Likewise, if onethinks in his mind “I am an Atma(soul)”, the other personapproaches in the same thoughtprocess as well. If one hasstrong thoughts in one’s mind,

these spread automatically. The sincerity in the thoughtsdecides the level it spreads. This indirectly says “What I do,the world does”. All of us musttry to follow this motto and takeit in a positive way, rather thansaying, “I do what the worlddoes.” If everyone decides todo what the others do, thenwho is to stand up and make achange when there is a crisis?

It is based on the sameprinciples that KiranBirSethi,Founder/Director of theRiversideSchool, Ahmedabad, initiated a small scalecompetition for school students, called “Design for change”,which is now taking place on aglobal level. It all began whenshe wanted to make herstudents realise the difficultiesof child labour that many otherunlucky children face. Shedecided that just a lecturewouldn’t make the studentsunderstand, and hence madeher students rub incensepowder just for some time. This

was an activity which was doneby children of their ageeveryday in the incensefactories. The students realisedthe difficulty faced by the otherchildren of their age every dayof their lives. They then set outon a campaign, telling theshopkeepers of the area not tohire children for work. This wascertainly not something theywould have initiated if they hadlearnt about child labour as aclassroom lecture.

She then decided to make thisa contest for school children. This contest requires schools tocreate a core team who wouldact. The students are given oneweek to implement a changewith any one idea. It isincredible how many problemsin the society can be solved bysimple ideas. Sometimes, thestudents set out cleaningbeaches, making surveys, anddoing greater and simpler thingsin order to make a change, tothe extent they can. This makesstudents ‘DO’ a change, ratherthan just create ideas and putthem on projector screens orfiles and submit them asprojects. This makes thestudents create the change theywant to see.

To bring the change, we wantto see it begins at a very basiclevel. For instance, if we wantto see non-violence in the world,we must first be non-violent.

– Dhwani J., Std. XI, Chennai

“Be the change you want to see”¸ those were the wordssaid by Mahatma Gandhi.

CHANGE BEGINS IN THE MIND

Page 29: The world renewal-Dec2012

31The World Renewal, December 2012

And the change, as always, must begin in themind. As Gandhiji said, ‘being non-violent isn’tan easy task, because being non-violent doesn’tmean, not hitting others merely. It means beingnon-violent in thought, word and deed’. By wordand deed anyone can be non-violent. But beingnon-violent in thoughts, isn’t something, every soulcan do. But the real effect is seen in thesurroundings of a person who is non-violent bythoughts, and not around the person who is non-violent only in word and deed and not by thoughts. One, who has brought a change in his mind, willcertainly not do the converse as words or deeds. For instance, if non-violence is one’s desire, onemust first of all, stop thinking bad about others, must stop hurting others, and then make biggerchanges by turning vegetarian, or better yet, vegan.

So if we want to bring change in others, wemust first make the change within the mind, then, show it in action. I’m not a philosopher to saythis. But I am eligible to say this, because I haveimplemented this in certain aspects of my dailylife, after being inspired by great persons likeMahatma Gandhi, Dr. Abdul Kalam and KiranBir Sethi. For instance, I aspire for an eco-friendlysociety and I have stopped bursting crackers. Ihave started being conscious of the resources Iuse. I have made other similar changes in me, sothat I do my bit towards making the world a betterplace to live in. Like sister B.K. Shivani says, ifwe wake up, we don’t need to go around wakingpeople. If one wakes up, it makes noise. And thenoise makes others wake up as well.

Change in even one person makes a differenceand it inspires others to change. Good reformsare always contagious. Let’s pick one thing wewant to change in others. And let’s first ensurethat we possess and implement what we wantothers to. Let’s begin now.

TRY TO THINK ONEPURE THOUGHT

EVERY DAY

I am what I think. The mind is constantlyoccupied in the thought process, and it isvirtually impossible to have a vacant yet

alive mind. Without doubt, my entire world hasbeen created by my thoughts. Sometimes theresults of these thoughts are manifestedimmediately and sometimes results take alonger period to come into the practical. However, the fact remains that thoughts, whengiven constant energy and attention, will comeinto practical. They are the basis for all myactions.

If I must think, and if by thinking I createthe world around me, negative or positive, through actions, negative or positive, wouldn’tit then make sense for me to think the veryhighest and purest of thoughts, so that theworld I create would be of that correspondingquality-high, noble and pure?

And what is a pure thought? Aren’t allthoughts pure simply by nature of being athought? A pure thought is one that is free fromall the vices such as ego, hatred, pride, jealousy, greed or anger. A pure thought, whentransferred into action, enriches the creatoras well as the creation. It is an energy that isformed at the most exalted levels of self-respect, but extends far beyond the self, making everything it touches exalted.

Pure thoughts are becoming sadly rare, asis evidenced by the world I have createdaround me. The pollution in all areas speaksof impurity within the thought processes.

It was the beginning ofsummer. I was boardingUdyan Express at Gulbarga

railway station. My destinationwas Bangalore. As I boardedthe train, I saw that the second-class reserved compartmentwas jam-packed with people. Isat down and was pushed to thecorner of the berth. Though itwas meant for three people, there were already six of ussitting on it...

The ticket collector came inand started checking people’stickets and reservations..Suddenly, he looked in mydirection and asked, ‘What aboutyour ticket?’ ‘I have alreadyshown my ticket to you,’ I said.

‘Not you, madam, the girlhiding below your berth. Hey,come out, where is your ticket?’I realized that someone wassitting below my berth. When thecollector yelled at her, the girlcame out of the hidden place.

She was thin, dark, scaredand looked like she had beencrying profusely. She musthave been about thirteen orfourteen years old. She haduncombed hair and wasdressed in a torn skirt andblouse. She was trembling andfolded both her hands. Thecollector started forcibly pullingher out from the compartment.Suddenly, I had a strangefeeling. I stood up and calledout to the collector. ‘Sir, I willpay for her ticket,’ I said.

Then he looked at me andsaid, ‘Madam, if you give herten rupees, she will be muchhappier with that than with theticket.’

I did not listen to him. I toldthe collector to give me a ticketto the last destination,Bangalore, so that the girl couldget down wherever shewanted.

Slowly, she started talking.

She told me that her name wasChitra. She lived in a villagenear Bidar. Her father was acoolie and she had lost hermother at birth. Her father hadremarried and had two sonswith her stepmother. But a fewmonths ago, her father had died. Her stepmother started beatingher often and did not give herfood. She was fed up with thatlife. She did not have anybodyto support her so she left homein search of something better.

By this time, the train hadreached Bangalore. I saidgoodbye to Chitra and got downfrom the train. My driver cameand picked up my bags. I feltsomeone watching me. When Iturned back, Chitra wasstanding there and looking at mewith sad eyes. But there wasnothing more that I could do. Ihad paid her ticket out ofcompassion but I had neverthought that she was going tobe my responsibility!...

I told her to get into my car.My driver looked at the girlcuriously. I told him to take usto my friend Ram’s place. Ramran separate shelter homes forboys and girls. We, at theInfosys Foundation supportedhim financially. I thought Chitracould stay there for some timeand we could talk about herfuture after I came back frommy tours.

I was not sure if Chitra would

even be there. But to mysurprise, I saw Chitra lookingmuch happier than before. Ramsuggested that Chitra could goto a high school nearby. Iimmediately agreed and saidthat I would sponsor herexpenses as long as shecontinued to study. I left theshelter knowing that Chitra hadfound a home and a newdirection in her life.

I got busier and my visits tothe shelter reduced to once ayear. But, I always enquiredabout Chitra’s well-being overthe phone. I knew that she wasstudying well and that herprogress was good.. I offeredto sponsor her college studies ifshe wanted to continuestudying. But she said, ‘No,Akka(elder sister), I have talkedto my friends and made up mymind. I would like to do mydiploma in computer science sothat I can immediately get a jobafter three years.’ She wantedto become economicallyindependent as soon aspossible. Chitra obtained herdiploma with flying colours. Shealso got a job in a softwarecompany as an Assistant testingEngineer. When she got her firstremuneration, she came to myoffice with a sari and a box ofsweets.

One day, when I was in Delhi,I got a call from Chitra. Shewas very happy. ‘Akka (eldersister), my company is sending

me to USA! I wanted to meetyou and take your blessings butyou are not here in Bangalore.’

Years passed. Occasionally,I received an e-mail fromChitra. She was doing very wellin her career. She was postedacross several cities in USA andwas enjoying life. I silentlyprayed that she should alwaysbe happy wherever she was.

Years later, I was invited todeliver a lecture in SanFrancisco for Kannada Koota,an organization where familieswho speak Kannada meet andorganize events. The lecturewas in a convention hall of ahotel and I decided to stay atthe same hotel. After the lecture,I was planning to leave for theairport. When I checked out ofthe hotel room and went to thereception counter to pay the bill, the receptionist said, Madam, you don’t need to pay usanything. The lady over therehas already settled your bill. Shemust know you pretty well.’ Iturned around and found Chitrathere.

She was standing with ayoung white man and wore abeautiful sari. She was lookingvery pretty with short hair. Herdark eyes were beaming withhappiness and pride. As soon asshe saw me, she gave me abrilliant smile, hugged me andtouched my feet. I wasoverwhelmed with joy and didnot know what to say. I wasvery happy to see the waythings had turned out for Chitra. But I came back to my originalquestion. ‘Chitra, why did youpay my hotel bill? That is notright.’ Suddenly sobbing, shehugged me and said, ‘Becauseyou paid for my ticket fromBombay to Bangalore!’

MANAGE EMOTIONSWhen the energy of our consciousness is

out of our control - the mind is agitated. Weare being emotional. The solution is to

detach from the inner storms, stand backand observe the hurricane passes.

Detached observation withdraws the energywhich your emotions require to sustainthemselves. When you watch your own

anger, it dies. If you don’t detach from it, andobserve it ...it will be your Master.

or the global level, then each one needs tomake efforts to wrest control from the forcesof evil entrenched in one’s own mind, andeach one has to be good, do good and spreadthe vibrations of goodness and virtue. Thiswill give speed and power to the forces ofVirtue and they will, then, soon reach a pointwhen they will take control of the world orderimmediately when the forces of negativityhave exploded or ended themselves on theworld-scene.

So, the point is that while people say thatthe problems of nuclear arms race, overpopulation, poverty, environmentalpollution, etc., have taken a dreadful globalform and are becoming an increasing threatday-by-day, little do they realise that thesewill soon die their death. People are worriedabout the future of the world and they ask:“What will happen?” But they do not showproper concern for self-change and little dothey realise that the time for self-change isnow, because, the very gravity of theproblems is the proof that their point ofexplosion will reach very soon.

Let all, therefore, know that our firstresponsibility is for self-change, for this isfrom where the work of world-transformation starts, and this work of world-transformation, which has been taking placefor about seventy-five years now, is gaininggreat momentum and will soon result in thedawn of the Golden Age, for the old era –the Kaliyuga will give place to the new – theGolden era or Satyuga.

How much time you spend in self-introspection?How often you wonder about your greatness? You consider yourself handsome,Highborn and fairest of allHow do you think you are right? But others are inefficient, lazy and corrupt

You waste much time speaking ills of othersGiving names to your rivals and neighboursMaking fun of them as subjects to condemnPouring cans of poison and venom

You are pained to see your rival progressBut have a hearty laugh if he's depressedHow much you hatch plans for your enemies?Don't know someone is constantly watching ?

Understand you'll receive what you giveDon't indulge into waste thoughtsYou are not made for themThey will pull you downTurn your destiny to hell

The Dhammapada says:'Don't follow low practicesDon't live carelesslyDon't hold wrong viewsDon't prolong the suffering world."

So also Sri Auronbindo:"Elevate your selfAnd realize the divine in you."

So, give up your waste thoughtsSay 'stop" when they occurOr divert them towards divinityTowards peace, happiness and purityThey will make your life betterHappy, peaceful and pure.
