Display Clients can be generated by a traditional session running on a Terminal Server, a shadowed thin client, an image from an IP camera or VMWare® virtual machines. The sources of these displays are referred to as Display Servers. ThinManager’s MultiSession core technology allows you to view multiple Display Clients with a single thin client. Using session tiling you can even view up to 25 Display Clients on a single monitor. TermSecure extends this functionality even more by allowing you to link Display Clients to a user instead of to a particular thin client. Users can then access their own displays simply by authenticating to any ThinManager Ready thin client.

better security and configuration of their thin client networks. Our MultiSession core technology allows multiple sessions running anywhere on the ThinManager network to be viewed through one thin client.

ThinManager can “tile” these screen views based on your settings. You can dictate which tile shows which session. You can set it to run in screensaver mode so that certain “tiles” are constantly updated with different sessions. ThinManager allows up to five monitors to be run from one thin client. MultiMonitor thin clients are available from third party vendors such as Arista and Advantech.

As resources are used, SmartSession decides where to assign thin clients to keep the Terminal Servers running at peak efficiency. SmartSession’s unique queuing feature helps administrators manage the Terminal Server’s processor load by pausing individual clients before connection if necessary.

Manage virtual terminal servers and virtual desktops. ThinManager brings support for virtual environments by adding virtual machines and virtual servers to the ThinManager source tree.

Available with XLi licensing, PXE boot allows ThinManager to boot and manage thin clients from hardware vendors like Wyse, HP, Dell, Lenovo and others.

ThinManager provides support for IP cameras. Our highly customizable program lets you choose the options that best fit your needs. Most IP Cameras that conform to the mjpeg (motion jpeg) are supported.

ThinManager Mobile is an iPhone or iPad app that can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store. It allows you to connect to your ThinManager and manage it from your iPhone or iPad. You can shadow clients, change their configuration, restart, or disable them from the palm of your hand.

In the past, you could only have 1 firmware version and a set of associated modules. Now you can run multiple firmware versions and no hardware will be rendered obsolete by upgrading to version 6.0.

ThinManager allows every client to be assigned to multiple Terminal Servers. If the current Terminal Server fails, the client will switch to another desig-nated Terminal Server, allowing the unit to continue functioning in the event of a server failure, server maintenance or software upgrades.

ThinManager adds a high-level of security to terminals on your thin client network. Control user access to applications through group permissions or to terminals using both group permissions and terminal scheduling. Five licenses included with initial install of ThinManager.

IP camera support gives operators greater insight into the factory floor. Use it to expand the line of vision on the production line or as a security tool to monitor loading docks, parking lots and more.

Allows multiple sessions running anywhere on the ThinManager network to be viewed through one thin client monitor.

Make any single display thin client a dual display thin client by using this function with a display link adaptor.

ThinManager allows ThinManager Ready thin clients to be “shadowed” from within ThinManager. This allows the administrator to see exactly what is being run on the thin clients. ThinManager also allows the administrator to see what user is logged into a session and what applications and processes they are running.

ThinManager provides TouchScreen support by simply adding the TouchScreen module to the configuration. There are currently 18 serial touchscreens and a universal USB TouchScreen module.

Auto connect to any session via standard Windows LogIn.

ThinManager supports WinTMC, ACP’s software client that provides a Windows PC the functionality of a thin client. The ThinManager Platform supports MultiMonitor for WinTMC.

ThinManager Mobile contains most of the functionality of the full ThinManager application, allowing users to shadow, view an IP camera feed, restart and manage terminals from an iPhone or iPad just as they can from ThinManager running on the desktop.

ThinManager 6.0 introduces iTMC for the iPad*, turning it into a full blown thin client. You can run a session of your HMI or any other plant floor application from a portable iPad. *iPad2 or higher recommended.

Redundancy

ThinManager® combines unique hardware enabling technology with a proven thin client

management interface. ThinManager offers a scalable solution that works for a single

remote location all the way up to a worldwide networked industrial infrastructure.

Server Licensing includes licenses for two ThinManager Servers, providing redundancy at a single location. This allows for an unlimited number of thin clients and terminal servers on a single network.

ThinManager redundancy uses a redundant pair of ThinManager Servers. ThinManager licenses and configurations are stored on both servers with a fully accessible ThinManager GUI. If terminals can’t find the primary ThinManager Server they will boot from the redundant ThinManager Server and receive the same configurations and instructions as well as full access to the ThinManager application with the administrator console.

ThinManager is also available in a redundant “mirrored” licensing format that allows a synchronized pair of ThinManager servers. The primary server contains a fully functional version of ThinManager with the administrator console and allows monitoring and configuration of terminals. The secondary “mirrored” ThinManager server holds an exact copy of the licenses and configurations from the primary server. ThinManager on the mirrored server is a “view-only” interface that cannot be edited. Terminals can boot from either server and receive the same configuration. Mirrored redundancy costs 50% less than full redundancy.

Site Licensing provides a single license that can be installed on an unlimited number of ThinManager Servers at a facility. This license provides for redundancy and departmentalization of ThinManager Servers. Enterprise Site extends the enterprise server licensing to all networks at a single facility.
