The 100% efficient Empathy is a catalytic flueless gas fire which is designed to operate without a flue. This means that all the gasis used to heat your room and none is lost up the chimney. The Empathy can be installed on any wall, with or without a fireplaceopening, in almost any room with a minimum room size of 30m3. A number of styling options are offered with pebble or coal fuel bed. A cavity wall box is included.

Custom gas fire

The build quality of your Custom gas fire will besecond to none. The burner tray is fabricated andcut to the exact size by hand by skilled craftsmen.As every fire is unique, no automated processescan be used. Once fabricated it is hand sprayedin a special paint which can withstand the hightemperatures it will encounter during its life. Theburner board is hand cut to fit the tray perfectlyand drilled precisely to give your fire the mostrealistic flame possible.

Various sizes of imitation coals or pebbles arethen selected to suit the size of your fireplace tocreate a richly glowing fuel bed and flame effect.Finally, prior to packaging in its own mouldedfoam 'nest', your fire will be run on gas andtested to strict European safety standards.

All Magiglo gas fires feature an oxygen depletionsensor that monitors the air supply in the roomand automatically shuts off the fire if the oxygensupply falls below a safe level.

The components fitted during assembly areselected for quality not price. Magiglo even fitunique silencers to the injectors so your peace willnot be disturbed if reading quietly in front of yourfire.

InstallationMagiglo recommends that installation of its gas products is only carried outby installers employed or recommended by a Magiglo authorised retailer.Gas installations must be carried out by a Gas Safe Register installer.

VentilationGenerally, a gas fire with a gas input of 6.9kW or less does not normallyrequire additional ventilation. A fire with a gas input of 7.0kW or more willrequire the installation of additional ventilation. The Empathy gas firerequires an air vent.

Manual controlThe manual control incorporates an integral ignition. Any flame heightbetween high and low may be selected.

Trim switch controlThe trim switch allows you to operate the appliance from a high levelswitch located on the side of the fire. Manual ignition is required.

Remote controlA remote handset is used to operate the fire. Manual ignition is required.The fire can also be operated manually.

Installation guide and general information

SafetyAll Magiglo gas fires feature an oxygen depletionsensor that monitors the air supply in the room andautomatically shuts off the fire before the oxygensupply can fall below a safe level.Natural gas or PropaneWith the exception of the balanced flue fires andSurefire, all gas models are available in natural gasor propane. Due to the properties of propane theflame picture may differ slightly.

WarrantyAll Magiglo fires carry a 12 month guarantee.

Total controlThis option provides total control of your applianceby igniting the pilot and operating the fire by remotecontrol. The fire can also be operated manually.

Slide controlLight, regulate, and turn off your gas fire from oneeasy to operate high level control.

The flue for a rear vented Power flue fire extendsfrom the rear of the appliance directly through awall to outside air, using up to 760mm of flue duct(with optional extension).

The unique design of Magiglo terminal ventsinclude an internal baffle, designed to reducenuisance fan shut-downs in adverse weatherconditions and reduce back draught to the room.
