Molech (also known as Moloch, Molek, Melech, or Minervas Owl) most of the time

represented by an owl, was an ancient Near Eastern deity worshiped by several cultures. The

Canaanites, Carthaginians, Phoenicians and Israelites were especially devoted to making human

sacrifices, even burning newborns alive, depending upon the seriousness of the blessing desired.

Moloch was commonly worshiped in the mid-east in pre-New Testament times. Throughout

history Moloch has been depicted as a bull and sometimes even resembling a dog. The most

common usage by secret societies in modern times is the owl representing esoteric wisdom.

The worship of Moloch is not only limited to ancient times. Today we can still see it all around

our modern society including government, religions, corporations, educational and financial

institutions.

Moloch is mentioned in the Bible as one of the many common pagan gods worshiped by the

Israelites. (1 Kings 11:7) and (Acts 7:43)

1 Kings 11:7 On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the

detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites.

Acts 7:43 You have lifted up the shrine of Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the

idols you made to worship. Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Babylon.

According to the Old Testament, the Ancient Israelites where highly involved with the worship

of Moloch (Molech), and to them it was a common practice to sacrifice children to this evil

deity. Let see what the International Bible Encyclopedia says about it:

Solomon, under the influence of his idolatrous wives, built high places for Chemosh, the

abomination of Moab, and for Milcom, the abomination of the children of Ammon. See

CHEMOSH. Because of this apostasy it was intimated by the prophet Ahijah, that the kingdom

was to be rent out of the hand of Solomon, and ten tribes given to Jeroboam (1 Kings 11:31-33).

These high places survived to the time of Josiah, who, among his other works of religious

reformation, destroyed and defiled them, filling their places with the bones of men (2 Kings

23:12-14).

Molech-worship had evidently received a great impulse from Ahaz, who, like Ahab of Israel,

was a supporter of foreign religions (2 Kings 16:12). He also made his son to pass through the

fire, according to the abominations of the nations, whom Yahweh cast out from before the

children of Israel (2 Kings 16:3). His grandson Manasseh, so far from following in the footsteps

of his father Hezekiah, who had made great reforms in the worship, reared altars for Baal, and

besides other abominations which he practiced, made his son to pass through the fire (2 Kings

21:6). The chief site of this worship, of which Ahaz and Manasseh were the promoters, was

Topheth in the Valley of Hinnom, or, as it is also called, the Valley of the Children, or of the Son

of Hinnom, lying to the Southwest of Jerusalem (see GEHENNA).

That Molech-worship had increased in the interval may account for the frequency and the

clearness of the references to it in tile later Prophets. In Jeremiah we find the passing of sons and

daughters through the fire to Molech associated with the building of the high places of Baal,

which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom (Jeremiah 32:35; compare to Jeremiah 7:31; 19:5)

Molech According to the Jewish Encyclopedia:

In the Masoretic text the name is Molech; in the Septuagint Moloch. The earliest mention of

Molech is in Lev. xviii. 21, where the Israelite is forbidden to sacrifice any of his children to

Molech. Similarly, in Lev. xx. 2-5, it is enacted that a man who sacrifices his seed to Molech

shall surely be put to death. Then, curiously, it is provided that he shall be cut off from the

congregation. In I Kings xi. 7 it is said that Solomon built a high place for Molech in the

mountain that is before Jerusalem. The same passage calls Molech an Ammonite deity. The

Septuagint as quoted in the New Testament (Acts vii. 43) finds a reference to Moloch in Amos v.

26; but this is a doubtful passage. In II Kings xxiii. 10 it is stated that one of the practises to

which Josiah put a stop by his reform was that of sacrificing children to Molech, and that the

place where this form of worship had been practised was at Topheth, in the valley of the

children of Hinnom.

The name Molech, later corrupted into Moloch, is an intentional mispointing of Melek,

after the analogy of bosheth (comp. Hoffmann in Stades Zeitschrift, iii. 124). As to the rites

which the worshipers of Molech performed, it has sometimes been inferred, from the phrase

pass through the fire to Molech, that children were made to pass between two lines of fire as a

kind of consecration or februation (Jewish Encyclopedia, Article on Moloch)

In John Miltons Paradise Lost (1667), Moloch is listed as one of Satans fallen angels (Book

I). He also gives a speech at the parliament of Hell in Book 2:43 105. Later in John Miltons

novel, Moloch becomes a pagan god on earth.

OWL LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE PENTAGON

According to some accounts there is an Owl located in the center of the Pentagon. The Owl

figure was placed there by John McShain, the man who built the Pentagon. McShain was a

highly successful American building contractor known as The Man Who Built

Washington. He was also a Jesuit-trained Knight of Malta.

MOLOCH HIDDEN IN CYPRUS COAT OF ARMS

Do you remember the government of the Island of Cyprus, along with the European Union,

blatantly stealing peoples savings from their bank accounts? Take a look at the previous

illustration and compare their symbol of the Coat of Arms. There is a Moloch hidden within the

symbol.

Who is controlling the Government of Cyprus? Obviously, it must be somebody who worship

Moloch.

In Allen Ginsbergs poem Owl (1955), Moloch is also used to represent money, wealth,

capitalism, and overall, peoples suffering.

Molech According to the Catholic Encyclopedia:

(Hebrew Molech, king). A divinity worshipped by the idolatrous Israelites. The chief feature

of Molochs worship among the Jews seems to have been the sacrifice of children, and the usual

expression for describing that sacrifice was to pass through the fire, a rite carried out after the

victims had been put to death. The special centre of such atrocities was just outside of Jerusalem,

at a place called Tophet (probably place of abomination), in the valley of Geennom.

According to III (I) Kings, xi, 7, Solomon erected a temple for Moloch on the hill over

against Jerusalem, and on this account he is at times considered as the monarch who introduced

The Symbolism of the Lilith (Divine Lady Owl) was used by the Sumerians and the

Babylonians. The Lilith is only mention once in the Hebrew Bible in Isaiah 34:13-14 JPS

Hebrew Tanakh. In the King James Version is actually mentioned as screech owl, great owl.

Wildcats shall meet hyenas, Goat-demons shall greet each other: There too the Lilith shall

repose And find herself a resting place. (Isaiah 34:14 JPS Hebrew Tanakh)

And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it

some kind of Queen of Heaven:

The Sumerian word for owl is ninna and the name Nin-ninna given to the goddess in her owl

form meant Divine Lady Owl. The ancient texts also give the Akkadian word kilili for Nin-

ninna, and this name was one shared by Innana and Ishtar. Perhaps kilili is the original derivation

of Lilith, who, much later, in biblical times, is called night-owl or screech-owl. (Baring and
