Getting images off the camera

• I never use camera software• Album software:

– Works with “all” cameras– Does basic editing (red eye, resizing)– Organizes photos– Fun stuff: slide shows, books, printouts

• Editing software:– Some have album features– More editing (text on screen, fixing scratches, color

repair)




Tour: Adobe Photoshop Album

• Might be packaged with Adobe Photoshop Elements

• Get an idea of what Album software does– Crop– Fix Red Eye– Export for various formats




Final Project Ideas

• Looking for a final project related to digital photography? Consider:– Creating a new “photo” page on your portfolio, with

images that relate to your coursework or career interest. Consider 8-10 photos and include captions with each.

– Going through the online 4-H Digital Photography project (http://www.cahe.nmsu.edu/4h/photography/) and posting final work to KidSnaps (http://www.kidsnaps.org)
