THE HONORABLEPEARNEL CHARLESThe Honorable Pearnel Charles is the Minister ofLabor and Social Security. His political career startedin 1965 when he joined the staff of the BITU shortlyafter completing studies in Political Science in NewYork. His entire working life has been with the BITUand the Jamaica Labour Party. Now in his fifth termin Parliament, he is MP for North Central Clarendon.

FRANCK “ZANU”ADJISEGBEFranck, aka, Zanu, has been helping employersunderstand Image Development since 1999. Likeno other, he has the rare and unique ability tolead his participants to convert their weaknessesinto gainful action. He has beenspeaking on the topic of behavioural competenciesas a business tool aligned with the business strategyfor over 23 years. FRANCIS WADEFrancis Wade is the founder and President of Framework Consulting. His firm focuses on solvinguniquely difficult people problems in Caribbeancompanies. TJERK (JACK) DUSSELDORPTjerk (Jack) Dusseldorp is the President ofWorldSkills International. He is the Chair of theDusseldorp Skills Forum and past Chair of theWorldSkills Australia Foundation. He has servedon the Boards of the NSW Technical and FurtherEducation Commission and the Australian StudentTraineeship Foundation. He headed up the Officeof Youth Affairs within the Department of thePrime Minister and Cabinet in the second HawkeGovernment.

DAVID ROBERTSDavid Roberts has over 39 years experience invarious sales positions in a number of countries.He has been resident in Jamaica for nearly 9years and his current role is as Director ofBusiness Development for Global Directories.who are the publishers of telephone directories for 15 Caribbean Islands. David has experience ina number of industries and held positions includingCommission Sales, Sales Management, SalesTraining, Telephone Sales and Senior Managementpositions.

VANESSATHOMAS WILLIAMSVanessa Thomas Williams is an Attorney at Law whospecializes in Industrial Relations and legal issuessurrounding employment. She is an IndustrialRelations Consultant and is currently engaged in private practice. Her professional work coversmanagement training in Industrial Relations, HumanResource Management Policy Design andImplementation, and Occupational Safety and Health Management. She has represented a range ofemployers in collective bargaining. Ms. ThomasWilliams is also a lecturer at the University of the WestIndies, St Augustine Campus.

MERRICK NEEDHAM Merrick Needham, Officer of the Order ofDistinction, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,has been Jamaica’s principal logistics, ceremonialand protocol consultant for some thirty years. Hewrites and lectures on protocol and related topics.This has included repeated training courses inJamaica and The Bahamas for senior governmentofficials and private sector executives, and inBarbados for senior officers of the CaribbeanDevelopment Bank. For several years he also lecturedto police officers from most CommonwealthCaribbean countries on aspects of State and MilitaryProtocol and Police procedure at ceremonial events.

SUZANNE JONESSuzanne Jones has been a professional Librarian for28 years. She has supervised a multi-generationaland multi-ethnic workforce, responding to the changinginformational needs on University campuses. Shehas been involved with conducting research regardingworkplace dynamics, including the effects of generational issues. Her research on generationalwork relations focuses on bridging conflicts by under-standing and appreciating generational differencestowards encouraging a more collaborative workplace.

JACQUELINE IRONSJacqueline Irons has had over 29 years experienceas a HR/IR Practitioner honed in the Distributive,Manufacturing Insurance and Hospitality Industries.She is currently, a Part-Time Lecturer at UWI &FIU.

ANNA KASAFI PERKINS, PhD.Anna Perkins is the quality assurance officer on theMona Campus of the UWI. She is an eclectic thinker/administrator/trainer and her first book entitled, “Justice as Equality: Michael Manley’s CaribbeanVision of Justice” is now available.

DANNY ROBERTSDanny Roberts is the Director of the Hugh LawsonShearer Trade Union Education Institute and a VicePresident of the Jamaica Confederation of TradeUnions. He is formerly Vice President of theNational Workers Union and President of the Unionof Clerical Administrative & Supervisory Employees.He received the National Honours - Commander ofthe Order of Distinction (CD) for his contribution toTrade Unionism.

ANDREW WYNTERAndrew Wynter is the Compliance and InvestigationsManager at Grace Kennedy and Co. Ltd. Prior tothis, he was the Risk and Governance Managerwith Hardware & Lumber where he was involvedin the areas of Loss Prevention, and Risk management. Andrew is Assistant RegionalVice President (ARVP) for the American Societyfor Industrial Security - Caribbean Region.

KALA FLEMING, PhD.Kala helps companies design and implement their CSR programs so that all stakeholders, not just shareholders benefit. This inclusive approach to CSRhas yielded significant bottom line returns for large fortune500 companies as well as small startups with limitedresources. She embraces a holistic approach to innovation and achieving aggressive goals and objectives.She has a strong background in strategic planning,research and project management. She excels at seeing the big picture, identifying gaps and managinginitiatives. Her experience spans utility, food and beverage, and non-profit industries.

PATRICIA HOLNESS PhD, C.D; J.P.Patricia Holness is a Leadership, PerformanceManagement and Strategic Planning Practitioner.Sheis a CEO of the Registrar General’s Department andhas lifted the profile of the Registrar General’sDepartment to the extent that in 2010 theOrganization of American States (OAS) not only designated the RGD Jamaica as having the “BestPractice” in the hemisphere, but has requested thatthe RGD Jamaica modernizes the Civil Registries ofthe OECS countries. Dr. Holness is an internationalspeaker on motivational topics.

ALLAN BALLAGHAllan Ballagh is Director - Technical and FurtherEducation (TAFE) Australia and Vice-President atRMIT University, a position held since November 2003.Prior to joining RMIT as a TAFE Project Director in1998, and later as Associate Director TAFE, Mr.Ballagh held a number of positions at the WesternMelbourne Institute of TAFE. Allan has a record ofleadership in developing and implementing approach-es to teaching and learning, professional develop-ment and the implementation of quality systems in theTAFE sector. He is RMIT’s nominee to the VictorianTAFE Association (VTA) CEO Council and a memberof the VTA HR/IR Standing Committee.

Allan is also a member of the Capital City LLEN (LocalLearning and Employment Network) ManagementCommittee and currently represents TAFE DirectorsAustralia (TDA) as a member of the FrameworkImplementation Action Group which oversees imple-mentation of the recomendations of the VET Productsfor the 21st Century report.

BARRY MOLTZBarry Moltz – Author and Motivational Speaker,has founded and run small businesses with a greatdeal of success for more than 15 years. After successfully selling his last operating business,Barry has branched out into a number of entrepre-neurship-related activities. He founded an angelinvestor group, an angel fund, and is a formeradvisory member of the board of the AngelCapital Education Foundation.

CHRISTOPHER BARNESChristopher N. Barnes is the ManagingDirector of the Gleaner Company of Jamaicaand has responsibilty for all activities of TheGleaner Group. He joined The Gleaner in2007 and served for three years as deputymanaging director. Prior to joining theGleaner , he worked for 10 years with AlcanInc. ANNE CRICK, PhD.Anne P. Crick is a Senior Lecturer in OrganizationalBehaviour, Human Resource Management,Organizational Development and OrganizationalDesign. She is a former Head of the Departmentof Management Studies and the Centre forHospitality and Tourism Management located inNassau, Bahamas. She is also a former AssociateDean of the Faculty of Social Science. She is alsoa certified trainer in hospitality management andis a trained facilitator. Dr. Crick worked in severalof Jamaica's leading hotels as a manager and asa trainer before moving fully into academia. Inthose positions she developed quality standardsand established training programmes and schedulesthat enhanced the delivery of customer serviceand the quality of the work experience.

RICHARD HINESRichard, a Certified Fraud Examiner, is the Managerof the Fraud Prevention Unit at National CommercialBank (NCB) where he has been employed forthe past twenty eight years. A career banker byprofession, having worked in most of the Bank’score areas, locally and in the United Kingdom,Richard moved from being an Internal AuditOfficer in 1998, to concentrate fully on fraudprevention and investigation within the NCBGroup. He sits on the Jamaica Banker’sAssociation Anti Fraud Sub Committee and theJ.E.T.S. Anti Fraud Committee. Richard is also anInvestigator on the Electronic Fraud Task Forcerecently launched by the JCF’s Organized CrimeInvestigation Division, OCID.

KENNETH BARRINGTONTHOMASTobago born and raised, K. Barrington Thomas ChiefServant / Life Coach / Corporate Trainer with IncubatorCaribbean Focus Limited, started his working life as ateacher in the Primary school system. He then enlistedas a Military Officer, and spent nine (9) years with theTrinidad and Tobago Defense Force (Regiment). He co-developed the Trinidad and Tobago Special Forces Unitwith his mentor Col. Selwyn Derrick, and commanded itfor its first seven (7) years of its existence. In his day, itwas rated as one of the finest special ops (jungle) unit inthe hemisphere. Under his leadership, he developedand ran successfully , the first Jungles Warfare Course inthe country’s history.

He went into corporate training, empowering persons inall walks of corporate and public sector life. His primaryfocus is now empowering, mentoring, and developingEntrepreneurial Leaders in Trinidad and Tobago, theCaribbean, and North America .

NOEL COWELL, PhD.Noel Cowell is a Senior Lecturer of EmploymentRelations in the Department of ManagementStudies at the University of the West Indies. Healso lectures in Industrial Relations in theDepartment of Management Studies. Dr. NoelCowell maintains that “to move forward, thethree major players in industrial relations: –Government, employers and the unions requirea strategic partnership”. His current researchinterest focuses on various aspects of the work-place relationships.
