SMART CITIES AWARDS
Winners of the Most Popular SPV CEO Award were selected based on popularity, through maximum citizen votes. In a quest to encourage urban local bodies, Smart Cities Council India partnered with Deloitte to facilitate the Smart Project Awards. This category was further judged by an eminent panel comprising Lux Rao, Director & Leader-Digital Transformation office, CISCO India; Ashish Mathur, Managing Director, JUSCO; and
Prakash Gaur, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Asset Management. Corporations and their officials were recognised for relentlessly working towards the betterment of citizens’ lives, through the AMRUT Cities felicitations. And, the Start-Up Innovation Hub Awards were for start-ups that have created the most innovative solutions for cities. The jury panel for this category of awards consisted of Yedukondalu Kumpati, Joint Managing Director,
AP Innovation Society and Viivek Verma, a Value Enabler, Coach, mentor, Investor and Social Empowerer. The awards were presented by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Ministry of IT, Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana; and Nalini Atul, Joint Managing Director, KUIDFC, Government of Karnataka; in the presence of Pratap Padode, Founder & Executive Director, Smart Cities Council India.
