About the Institution

Kings College of Engineering (KCE) is an institution which was formed with the single aim of providing quality education to the poor and under-privileged students. KCE has been started during 2001 and run by Raj Educational Trust (RET). KCE is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. KCE has acquired ISO certification by TUV, Rheinland, Germany and the programmes are Accredited by NBA. Our institution offers six U.G Programmes and four P.G Programmes. Endorsed with research centres in the departments of ECE, EEE & MECH. successfully completed project for DRDO and many such organizations thus providing technical service to the nation. The college maintains high standard of education by providing a world class academic facilities, employing highly qualified and experienced faculty members and creating an ambience conducive of quality education. The institution is located at Thanjavur, a historical place of Tamil Nadu on the Thanjavur – Pudukottai Roadway (SH 210 ).

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making organisation for the Technical Education System in our country and second largest Professional society next to IEEE in the world with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students. At present, ISTE has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of more than 1,02,985 Life Members, 5,54,094 Student Members, 2410 Institutional Members (including IITs, IISC.., NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1214 Faculty Chapters and 1322 Students' Chapters and 17 Sections throughout the country. The major objective of the ISTE is to provide quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity and to assist and contribute in the production and development of high quality professional engineers.

thThe 18 ISTE Annual Students Convention is a forum for the exchange of scientific and technical Innovative concepts and the role of students in shaping it towards excellence . The convention provides a conducive ambience for both academic and industry to discuss technical advancements and to propogate innovations towards further evolution. Also it facilitates academicians, industry experts and scholars to exchange their research ideas for collaborative work. The convent ion compr ise severa l technica l events for the engineering/polytechnics students and thus brings them together a common workspace to converse and encourage their expertise for knowledge enhancement and for activation to meet the global needs.

On receiving the intimation of acceptance, participants are requested to send the filled in registration form to the organizing chair with a DD drawn in favour of “The Principal, Kings College of Engineering” payable at Thanjavur.
