CBSEi classes I to VI covered the theme Family in the month of September. Various activities were conducted for strengthening their knowledge. The students were sensitized towards the elders in the family. An Open Day was celebrated in the school where the grandparents of each classes(IA i to VIA i) visited the classrooms of their grandchildren. The grandfriends took out some valuable time out from their set routine and shared anecdotes from their lives or from the lives of other great personalities to motivate the children. The students expressed their gratitude towards their grandfriends by presenting self created cards as a token of their love. They too reciprocated their grandchildren by giving them uncountable blessings and love. The students were made to realize that everybody in the world is not that fortunate as they and their grandfriends are. There are many old people in the world who are homeless. Some live in old age homes,. Our school alumna, Ms. Srishti who is associated with The Help Age India, visited our school. Through heart touching PPT, she motivated the young learners to understand the needs of old people. This inspired them to visit Triveni Old Age Home. There our enthusiastic students were welcomed with open arms. Our children spent some quality time with the inmates of the oldage home, cut a cake, enter- tained them with their lovely performances ,gifted them a token of their love and returned school with everlasting memories , smiles on their faces and thousands of bless- ings to help them to succeed in their lives.The visit sensitized our future of tomorrow and made them realize that it is their foremost duty to help these homeless old people and do something for their betterment. Ms. Sushmita Ghosh from Helpage India paid a visit to the school and encouraged our children to help the aged people in the old age home by collecting some amount from their nears and dears for the noble cause. Our little philanthropists from Classes I A i -VIA i enthusiastically collected the sum of Rs. 26,085. The students were awarded certain prizes by Helpage India as per the amount they collected. The highest donor Moksh Aggarwal, of Class III Ai along with his father Mr. Manish Aggarwal was appreciated in the special assembly for their noble efforts. Mr.Shambhu Prasad retired after 16 years of his dedicated service as the school Peon. The management members, the Principal and staff fondly reminisced about his implacable role in ensuring the safety of school premises.He respected the teachers, the children and the parents and dedicated to the job at hand. He welcomed everyone with a smile and won everyone’s heart with his kind and loving nature.

SUPERANNUATION CEREMONY.. Mrs.Neelam Gulati joined the institute 24 years ago, in 1990.In her illustrious career, she has fostered a love for the Sanskrit language in thousands of students and has consistently been conferred with the Sanskrit Academy Award for 100% result in Class X. She has, thus, been a custodian of our linguistic heritage. Mrs. Gulati has been a paragon of simplicity with frugality being her hallmark. She begins a new phase of life with her retirement.

Class VA i Assembly: Presenting with Pride Students of Class presented their morning assembly on 15th September’14 on the topic “International Democracy Day”. Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the efforts made by the students. The assembly became all the more interesting and motivating by the presence of Ms. Sushmita Ghose, the National Director of HelpAge India. Students of CBSE i sang the SAVE Anthem with enthusiasm and vigor. Ms. Ghose sensitized young minds towards the plight of the elderly. She told the students about HelpAge , a secular not-for-profit organization working nationwide for the cause and care of the elderly. Ms. Ghose encouraged the citizens of tomorrow to donate generously for the aged in the Oldage homes. The assembly was much liked by her and she expressed her gratitude towards the young learners through an appreciation letter in the name of the school.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION (14.08.14 ) On 14.8.14 we celebrated our 67th Independence Day in the Nurs- ery Wing with great enthusiasm. The brave martyrs

were paid homage through a wonderful performance by children. Various fun filled activities such as kite decoration, flag colouring etc. were organized for our future

citizens. While the tri colour filled our hearts with a feeling of patriotism, the celebration of

‘Krishna Janamashtami’ created a devotional aura all around. Special attractions of the day were, the flutes and mukuts, which were beautifully decorated by the little ones.

ORIENTATION PROGRM-05.07.2014 When we talk about a child’s overall development, both parents

and teachers have an equal and important role to play. Keeping this is in mind, an orientation

equal and important role to play. Keeping this in mind, an Orientation Program was organized for parents of new joinees to

familiarize them with and welcome them to the MAPS family. The parents were guided through

the rules and regulations and some magical parenting tips. The presence of Ms. Anureet Kaur and Ms. Bhawna, professional child psychologists, made the program even more successful.

READY STEADY & GO Fun-Play-Learn!!! Playway is an effective method to develop motor skills of our little ones and team spirit and cooperation among them, various races were organized for the student of Pre School and Pre Primary. These races were planned to reinforce various concepts in children in a funfilled way. The list of the races is as follows: Build Your Castle Race(PSch), Pick and Throw Race(P.Pri), Sponge Bob Race (PSch), Ready For School Race(P.Pri),Help Your Partner Race(P.Pri) My Healthy Basket Race(PSch).

JIGGLING JINGLES-22.07.14 Embellished with colourful and innovative

props, children of preschool participated in Jiggling Jingles competition. Our radiant little ones recited wonderful rhymes with brilliance

and great self confidence. Their talent was appreciated by all.

Jr.MASTER CHEF COMPETITION - 24.07.14 Eat Healthy Stay Healthy!! The Jr. Master

Chefs prepared some mouth watering dishes keeping in mind health and nutrition. The beautifully presented platters were a real treat to relish, too.

MY FAMILY MY PRIDE – 12.08.14 With the aim of infusing family values in the young

hearts, a skit competition was held for the students of Pre-Primary. A group of students from each section confidently presented a small show conveying the beautiful message of

respecting and obeying parents and elders. The budding actors were appreciated by one and all.

WRAP UP YOUR FEELING – 26.8.14 . Wrap Up Your Feelings’ competition focused on making children realize the importance of a family .The tiny tots of Pre-School gave words to their feelings and love for their family members with aremarkable presentation accompanied with attractive colourful props.

TRAFFIC TRAINING PARK VISIT-23.07.14 Learning if combined with first hand experience,

always leaves a lasting impression. To give our children a practical experience of Traffic Rules a trip to Traffic Training Park was organized for the students of class I and II. Children

learned about various sign boards. Later recall-ing the same through fun sheet. FILL IN THE SPARK -25.9.14

Without colours, life would be just like a body without soul. Fill in the spark’ competition was held for our budding artists which helped in developing their fine motor skills and strengthened the recognition of colours in a fun – way.

FUN IN NEIGHBOURHOOD –29.09.14 Colours are the most fulfilling elements in our lives. Children enthusiastically p a r t i c i p a t e d i n ‘ F u n I n Neighbourhood’ competition and presented extraordinary examples of their imagination.

NATIONAL SCHOOL OF DRAMA VISIT-23.09.14

To promote language development in children, dramatics plays an effective means. Keeping this in mind a visit to National school of Drama was organized for the students of class I to watch the play “Across the Sea”. This exciting play carried a beautiful message of “being helpful to all without any bias”.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION – 30.9.14 The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with great zeal and vigour in the nursery wing . The fascinating musical display of ‘Ramayana’ kept the audience hooked and beautifully conveyed the message of victory of good over evil. The highlight of the day was ‘Burning Of Rawana’ which created a mesmerizing aura all around.
