THERMASHIELD the new advanced technology of physical cross linked polyolefin
foam insulation with its added irradiation process which increased the thermal
conductivity and enhance insulation properties. Thermashield proves as an All-in-
one insulation and its built in Acrylic Adhesive system that provides an easy
install feature in which other adhesives and supports are now unnecessary. The

1. Easy to Install & Cost Efficient - Thermashield does not require any additional chemicals on the installation process.
2. Noise Reduction - Thermashield also has the ability to reduce noise. It
also acts as a sound insulation due to its closed-cell structure and an
excellent dampening of vibrations.
3. Fire Repellant - Thermashield gives a fully fire repellant body in which its chemical compound stops the spread of fire just within a second.
4. Fibre free - Does not emit fibres in installation or service.
5. CFC and HCFC FREE - Environment Friendly does not contain any CFCs, and HCFCs, which can damage the ozone in the atmosphere; As-
bestos free, and be classified as not classifiable as to carcinogenicity to
humans .

Thermashield is the original “All in One” flexible thermal insulation made from physically cross linked closed
cell polyolefin foam, factory fused to a reinforced 45micron aluminium foil and backed with a specially
developed acrylic tissue interlayer adhesive system. Designed for value and proven to perform, Thermashield
products offer outstanding thermal insulation properties and effective condensation control.
1. PHYSICALLY (Irradiation) Crosslinked – Engineered cell size
and density for outstanding thermal performance.
Thermal Conductivity – 0.032 W/mK (@21ᵒ C meant temp, 50-70% R.H)
Physical ( irradiation) cross linking utilises an electron beam process
that is clean and precise. Cell size affects thermal conductivity and
hence thermal performance. Thermashield insulation provides much
better thermal as well as physical properties than ordinary chemically
cross linked and elastomeric foams.
2. Negligible vapour permeability and water absorption for effective
condensation control.
Permeance : 3.3 X 10 -4 g/M.N.s
Permeability : 8.19 X10-15 Kg/Pa.s.m (0.029 mg.m/N.h)
Permeability Resistance Factor : μ> 20,000
Vapour diffusion into the insulation material is one of the major
causes of condensation. The subsequent spreading of water after
condensation can reduce the insulation capacity of a material by as
much as 50%. Due to its closed cell structure and additional alumi-
num foil facing, Thermashield is classified under British Standards, as a
vapour barrier itself. This ensures effective condensation prevention,
often associated with vapour permeability through the insulation, the
closed cell structure prevents absorption and stops the spread of wa-
ter.
3. Extensive Fire and Smoke testing.
All fire and smoke tests are certified by independent accredited
laboratories.
Thermashield™ insulation has been extensively tested to major
national and international standards, including Australian, British, UL,
American, European, and ISO Standards. Thermashield™ products
are also approved and listed by several national bodies such as PSB
( Singapore), HK Fire Services Bureau, as well as BOMBA ( Malaysia),
Dubai Municipality, Qatar Divil Defence and Bahrain Civil Defence.
Thermashield meets the NFPA 90A and NFPA 90B standards.

4. Reinforced pure aluminium foil facing
Thermashield is supplied with factory applied reinforced aluminium
foil facing. The 45micron aluminum foil with the strong reinforcement
weave offers superior physical protection to the insulation.
No additional coatings or protection is required.
5. INNOVATIVE BUILT-IN ADHESSIVE SYSTEM
THERMASHIELD has made a breakthrough in polyolefin foam
insulation with its built-in adhesive system. Third party adhesives are
no longer needed for installing this product. It has an acrylic
substance at its back covered by a protective layer of paper. The
installers just have to peel the back cover and plot on surface. This
feature gives a perfect leveling of the insulation without the
unnecessary voids that we can hardly notice in ordinary foam
insulations. This affects the time and effort and gives a perfect finish
for the job.
6. Acrylic tissue adhesive system
The acrylic tissue interlayer adhesive system is designed to perform in
a variety of extreme conditions. The tissue interlayer system is
specially developed to ensure foolproof application. It is designed to
be re-positionable at the installation stage before permanently
curing to the steel duct. Unlike direct coated systems, this ensures
proper installation without damage to the insulation caused by
repeated alignment of the insulation to the duct.
7. Faster installation
The “All-in-One” system enables fast and easy installation thus
providing significant installation cost savings and a superior job finish.
No additional vapour barriers , coatings or mechanical fasteners are
required.
