Peroxide in the beauty industryPeroxides or activators are oxidizing agents used with dye permanent, semi-permanent, bleaching and tonalizadores. The peroxide is a catalytic or conductive agent. The peroxide of hydrogen is the Activator used by stylists commonly. It is used in products for coloring hair. It has a PH of between 2.5 and 4.5. You need to mix it with ammonia which is an alkaline compound to make it active. Ammonia is also found in the coloring creams.Peroxides are measured in America by volume and in Europe by percentageIt is important to mention that coloring hair represents a great challenge since it has special characteristics. There is less oxygen on the side of the lower neck. By contrast, the upper part of the Crown brightens more quickly and we call it growth which is only in the first two centimeters.
