Film transport, register mark control
The proven film transport system ensures particularly reliable film guide and a precise advance. Equipment options enable perfect adaptation to the packaging materials and the product to be packaged. The film unwinds feature a 3" film holding mandrel as standard, and an optional 6" adapter is available.
MULTIVAC register mark controls ensure reliable detection of register marks. The teaching of the register mark is performed directly at the sensor. The positioning of the print image is carried out at the HMI.

Lifting units
MULTIVAC lifting units are particularly high quality and durable systems. A rapid and precise lifting movement allows them to contribute to high output. The high closing force of MULTIVAC lifting units are the basis for maximum sealing pressure and perfect seal seams.
With electric spindle lifting units, the closing movement is generated by an electrically driven spindle. The electric drive features a high degree of precision and energy efficiency as well as low noise.

Loading
The pack cavities can be loaded manually or automatically. For manual loading, insertion aids that make this process easier and more efficient are available.
For automated loading, MULTIVAC offers a variety of handling modules, which can be equipped with 2- to 4-axis robots. Through the combination with vision systems, it is even possible to reliably process non-oriented and non-uniform packaged goods.

Evacuation
MULTIVAC evacuation technologies ensure efficient and reliable removal of the existing atmo- sphere from the pack and pack contents. Various die designs and hole punching devices enable processing of a wide spectrum of packaging material. Contour cutting
MULTIVAC contour cuts separate packs from the film with a working cut. In this way, the use of separate longitudinal and cross cutters is omitted.

Discharging packs
For the discharge of packs, MULTIVAC offers different solutions with which the pack stream can be passed to subsequent processes on a single-track or multi-track basis. While the roller conveyor and belt solutions are usually a modular component of a thermoforming packaging machine, MULTIVAC conveyor systems are incorporated into the process as an integrated solution or standalone system.
