BUILT-IN RESISTANCE TO WEATHER ANDCHEMICALS EXTENDS USEFULNESS.Longlife EPDM Bands have the same qualities of natural gum rubber bands, with the added benefits oflonger life and broader usage. Applications includetension members on shoe trees, in ski boot racks, holding assemblies together during cleaning, movingor storage in manufacturing areas, numerous householduses and in spring link bands for serpentine springconstruction. Exposure tests and rugged, 2,000-hourWeather-O-Meter tests have proven the ozone- andcrack-resistant reliability of these bands.

• Ozone Resistant–EPDM bands resist high ozone concentrates while under stress.

• Weather Resistance–Sunlight and weather extremeshave little effect on EPDM bands.

• Temperature Resistant–EPDM bands can be usedcontinuously in temperatures from -60˚F to +300˚F. They continue to provide excellent service when exposed to hot water or steam, with minimal water absorption and loss of elasticity. However, a gradual loss of elastic properties is experienced as the temperature extremes are approached.

• Chemical Resistant–EPDM bands resist deteriorationfrom most acids, alkalies, alcohols, glycols, ketones, esters and detergents. EPDM bands are notrecommended for use in applications involving hydrocarbon solvents, oil or turpentine.
