L .O . T. { Location Of Transience }
A new take on multi - programmatic architecture, which performs for the user.
Michael PryorThesis spring 2011
Prof. LawlerNYIT
L.O.T. is NOT about a static final object lost in a permanent state of program, L.O.T. is architecture which performs for the user. Society today exists as transient flows of constantly changing programmatic days. If users themselves are involved in transient activities, should’nt their architecture as well? Within the urban enviornment exists spaces declared as “multi-purpose buildings”, which typically involve large scale, open plan buildings where functionalelements are added and removed to introduce a new program. L.O.T. physically warps and fluxuates the enclosed spatal condition as a whole to introduce a new program with a custom space, opposed to using a default open space where any activity can happen.

L.O.T. ‘s programmatic conditions are formed as
spatial compression based on the flows of user types and activities at certain times of the day. The deformations
