the plan:

i want to make my own line of firecrackers.

For about a year i have had an idea about doing a project inspired by firecracker packaging. it’s been the back of mymind and i can’t shake it.

thesis started. the onlyidea i could think ofwas firecrackers. this wasmy starting point,but i needed a concept behind them. i began experimenting,

collecting,

and sketching.

through mind mapping, another idea appeared that i was interested in, boredom.

the theme of boredom didn’t grow. other ideas thatcame up: Firecrackers used to scare off evil spirits, firecrackers used to tell a story, and firecrackers used as a tool of rebellion.

there is a lot of writing too. once again trying to find the meaning behind the firecrackers.
