Dear Parents and Carers, REMEMBRANCE DAY Please keep in your prayers this week all the men and women who have lost their lives whilst keeping our country safe. Next Saturday we take time to reflect on those who gave us life. We remember those who enriched our lives with peace, harmony, compassion, thoughtfulness and sacrifice. As we reflect upon those whose memory moves us this day, we seek consolation together with the strength and insight born of faith. Remembrance Day in Australia is dedicated to Australians who died as a result of war, particularly from World War I onwards. A minute of silence is dedicated to the deceased, especially for soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation. Remembrance Day is annually observed on 11 th November. Please keep in mind the many soldiers who are fighting today. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Dear Parents and Carers,

REMEMBRANCE DAY Please keep in your prayers this week all the men and women who have lost their lives whilst keeping our country safe. Next Saturday we take time to reflect on those who gave us life. We remember those who enriched our lives with peace, harmony, compassion, thoughtfulness and sacrifice. COUNT US IN Last Thursday our choir was invited to sing at the “Music Count Us In Initiative” choral performance at St. Edmunds. The end result is that that all children sang the same song at the same time in St. Edmund’s school hall along with 600,000 students across Australia. The children had a 10 second count down to exactly 12.30 pm when they all started to sing. It was an amazing experience for the children. Thank you Mr. Meagher, Mrs. Nisbett and Miss Townsend for organising this opportunity for us.

THANK YOU Thank you to everybody who attended the P&F AGM last Wednesday night. Thank you to Emma McGrath, Warwick Kirby and their many members of the P&F for everything they have done to support us this year. We could not have achieved all that we had anticipated without your consistent support and encouragement. Congratulations and thank you to all our parents who have decided to take up the challenge and assist on the P&F in 2018. We look forward to working with you next year. We are so grateful for your generosity of time and spirit.

BLOW TEST FOR THE SCHOOL BAND On Monday Kate and Matthew our wonderful School Band teachers conducted a blow test and introduction to instruments for those children in Years 2, 3 and 4 who are interested in joining the school band in 2018.

END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE The children might be coming home and showing you their new moves that they have been learning with our choreographer Miss Natalie. All children in years K-6 will be showcasing their newly developed dance skills at our end of year performance which will be held on Wednesday 13th December. There will be a matinee performance at 1.00pm and an evening performance at 6.00pm. More details will be distributed later; in the meantime we need you to mark this important date in your diaries. We can promise this will be better than “Dancing with the Stars” or “Little Big Shots”!

KU-RING-GAI PRIMARY SCHOOL LEADERS MORNING TEA Last Thursday our school captains Libby Tomkinson and Cooper Mezgec and their parents were invited to Parliament House to have morning tea with our local member Mr. Alister Henskens SC MP. At this function Libby and Cooper were commended for the contribution they had made to leadership at Prouille. AWARDS Congratulations to all the children who received awards last week
