think - concept tattoo design website
DESCRIPTION
Create an interactive website platform which takes the obvious social interaction aspect built into many websites but elevate it to a level of interaction of aesthetics. Allow for the process of tattoo development to be public, guided and advised by tattoo professionals who stand to benefit from a business-wise standpoint by promoting their work and shops. Let the final piece stand out as art which can be saved, shared, and printed for review before it gets applied to the skin forever.Allow users to submit ideas and let them see these ideas develop before their eyes. A concept can be taken from a simple sketch to a final tattoo using thINK's technology to draw, comment, edit, track and personalize it.TRANSCRIPT
"Laws alone can not secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty
there must be spirit of tolerance in the entire population."
-Albert Einstein
The Big Idea
Americans sure love their ink. However, it seems that the process of choosing a tattoo and developing the aesthetics of its design has pretty much remained the same, even
with the advent of digital, social and creative interaction. It's time for an update.

”If i wanted something cool or even a coverup tattoo- I wouldn't mind going to
a site where multiple pros can give me advice as
opposed to one tattoo artist in the shop.
And I'm sure people who don't draw their own tats
would appreciate that as well. And it would save me
the trip since everything is done online now.”
Deja T. - tattoo enthusiast
“Asking for guidance from multiple tattoo artists is a great idea. I am a very
indecisive person and I am always looking for other
people's expertise...Tattoo is for life so you have to make sure it's something
you want for eternity.”
Vicky Z. - indecisive friend
“I'm thinking this would also help small up-and-coming shops to
potentially get their name out to a large audience.”
Amber N. - tattoo lover
How It Works
“I'm thinking this would also help small up-and-coming shops to
potentially get their name out to a large audience.”
Amber N. - tattoo lover
“In terms of new art, most artists want a deposit before
they start drawing. This is to ensure they don't spend several
hours thinking about and laboring over something you're going to walk away from or take to another artist.”
Russ F. - tattooed coworker
“I'm thinking this would also help small up-and-coming shops to
potentially get their name out to a large audience.”

1. Mike puts in a public tattoo request and notes that he is in NYC
2. He has a basic sketch and wants it to be a real dragon tattoo
3. A local new tattoo artist gets interested and uses thINK to draw and make edits right on the site free of charge as thINK is completely free to use
4. Mike and anyone else on the site can make edits, add sketches and overlay ideas
5. ThINK allows you to see overlays by date, name, before and after and draw your own if you have tools like Bamboo pen
6. Mike likes the artist's idea and adds his own. He uses thINK to combine the best of all ideas and now has a final piece to take to that same artist if he chooses
7. Even if Mike goes elsewhere, he and the artist created a piece of art that can be edited and used by anyone after, the artist's shop gets exposure and he gets to add to his portfolio
