The Third Comenius week
It took place in Ahaus Germany Between the 9th and the 13th of November
2009.Ten pupils finally travelled :two 7th formers,
two 6th formers and six 5th formers. Five girls and five boys.
All participants, pupils and teachers were warmly hosted by German families.
The Programme
Thoroughly prepared by the local coordinator of the Project , the programme included:
Workshops for the students Attendance of classes in German for the visiting
pupils Mixing with pupils of all four origins and host
family bonding during free afternoon leisure. A visit to the Town Hall and welcome speech by
the Mayor followed by a reception. Visits in Ahaus, Munster and Cologne.
The workshops
There were three major workshops and a group of reporters who edited an end-of-week newsletter with all activities done by pupils. The workshops:

The Dance workshop
These pupils prepared a dance which they presented at the end of the week in a very impressive performance.
The Music workshop
Body Percussions was the theme for this workshop, and the result: astonishing.
The music teacher , a knowledgeable person and very dedicated to his subject suggests future cooperation.
The Art workshop
They prepared masks of their faces and hands with plaster,

and a map with the participating countries in this Comenius project.
The visit to the Town Hall
The Mayor welcomed us with a very friendly speech and then we watched a film on Ahaus.
A very impressive church with a touch of Rococo style in Munster
Nearly eighty pupils benefited from this exchange in Germany
The departure was tearful but full of promise for the future of the project
The next meeting
It will take place in Poland between the 19th and the 23rd of April.
More pupils will benefit from this and more teachers too.
A lot of work has to be done for a quality end product and a good final report.
