Third Grade Achievement IncentivesStudent Achievement is Paw-some in Third Grade at Lanier! Students are rewarded and recognized throughout the year for their efforts in both reading, math, and behavior.Reading IncentivesAR Incentives: Students will receive the following rewards for meeting individualized AR point goals based on each students need.1st Nine Weeks Lunch in the classroom (Individualized based on student needs)2nd Nine Weeks Extra recess (Individualized based on student needs)3rd Nine Weeks Popcorn and a movie (Individualized based on student needs)4th Nine Weeks Game Day (Individualized based on student needs)AR Recognition: Students will also be recognized for meeting specific AR levels by having their names placed on the Olympic Wall of Reading in the Third Grade Hall. Students Go For The Gold. The levels for each ring are 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100.
Book It Award:Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Book It Program. All students that read 20 minutes each night (Monday-Friday) each month, October-March, will receive a Free Pizza Coupon to Pizza Hut. Book It Recognition: Students will be recognized inside each classroom on the Book It poster.
Math IncentivesIXL Reward:At the end of each nine weeks the top 3 students in each class will be chosen by top number of skills mastered during that grading period. The top 3 students in each class will be rewarded by getting to eat lunch with another 3rd grader of their choice on a selected day. These 3 students will also be recognized in the Grade Levels Weekly Newsletter.
Math Facts Rewards: Students that pass both their addition and subtraction facts will be awarded a game day. Students will also have the opportunity to earn an ice cream sundae party by completing specific multiplication facts.Multiplication Sundae2s bowl3s spoon4s 1 scoop ice cream5s sprinkles6s 2 scoops ice cream7s Oreo cookies crumbs 8s 3 scoops ice cream9s M&Ms10s hot fudge topping 11s whipped cream 12s canned soft drinkMath Facts Recognition: As students master their math facts they will decorate their individual ice cream sundae in the hallway display. Behavior Recognition-Class DojoStudents will be recognized for their behavior points earned in Class Dojo each nine weeks.
Grade Level Awards Recognition: Each nine weeks third grade students who have met their goals will be recognized with a certificate of achievement of their accomplishments.
