Instructions for Daily Assignments

Each day has two pages.

● Complete each “Must do” ELA, Math, and Social Studies/Science lesson for each

day

○ “May do” lessons are for students looking to continue learning! :)

● Choose one special (Art, Music, Library or Physical Education) and one counseling

lesson. Do one specials lesson a day. (Ex: P.E. -Monday, Art - Tuesday, etc.)

● Galaxy: Assignments are given on Mondays. (All students are welcome to join in)

● Enrichment: See school website for more enrichment websites and activities.

ELA Math Social Studies or Science

Must do:

● Spend at least 20 minutes on Reading Plus. Please try and do at least 1 lesson from each category. Your teacher will check your progress daily.

● 1 menu item from week 1 menu: Learn At Home Menu

● On your iPad, go to Epic! Books. Read What is Weather? by Ellen Lawrence. Answer the questions on the following pages: 5, 7, 8, 10, and 13 in complete sentences. Write your answers down and send a picture of your answers to your teacher either through Remind or school email.

● Extension Activity (optional): On page 22, do “Science Lab” for one week. Send a picture of your results to your teacher.

parent/guardian look up the menu of your favorite restaurant. Pick out a drink, appetizer, meal, and dessert. On a piece of paper add up the cost of these items. Would you be able to purchase this full meal with only $10.00?

● Go to Epic! Books and read The Sky Stirs Up Trouble: Tornadoes by Belinda Jensen. Discuss the following with your family:

- What the “ingredients” of a tornado are.

- Which states make up tornado alley (name them on a map);

- What your family’s plan is in case of a tornado.

May do:

● Extension Activities (optional): With a parent’s help, make a tornado cake (from pg. 22); visit the websites listed on pg. 23. Send a picture.

● Roll two dice (or one dice twice) and multiply the numbers. Write your problems and answers down on a piece of paper and send a picture of your paper to your teacher. If you don’t have dice you could use a deck of cards and flip two numbers over and multiply them.
